OOC: Zephyr needs someone to lift the lid of the sewer entrance so she can leave. Which one of the sewer openings are you taking her to and who is letting her out?
The sewer lid opens up into a small boxed off alley way. A dead end behind you; what you can is actually the outer wall that surrounds the city, and a short path that turns the corner. Zephyr fidgets in your grasp and once the way is open takes off into the orange/yellow sky. Dusk has come upon the town and as your eyes follow her you see in the distance; thick, black smoke rising from the center of town.
Tangle with your years of training as a scout, you ears tune into the sounds of voices screaming in the distance, toward the tower of smoke.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tangle turns to look down at the party. "It is too late! There is fire, and smoke! Quickly, up! We must help where we can!" And she climbs out, leaving the door open. She waits for the rest to begin climbing out, then does her thing: scouting. She will race ahead and look for trouble, then wait until they can see her, then race ahead again. Mindful of the guards and the people likely in a panic, she will keep her weapons sheathed. Edit: she will make towards the column of smoke unless she notices something amiss in another direction, or another party member has another idea.
Move, Dash, Cunning Action Dash as appropriate. Perception: 13
Barb, being close to the manhole, pops up out of the sewer. Whatever relief she felt for exiting the sewer was quickly replaced with dread as she first smelled the fire, then turning to witness the tower of smoke. She wasnt sure if it was her singed nose hairs but she thought she smelled the familiar sulfur smell of the sewer bombs. Peering down the sewer to the remaining party, "Out now! MOVE!" She holds her post until the last of the group makes it out before heading off toward the city walls, "Even rats flee from a fire" she mutters, making her way through the chaos.
"As a fortune teller, I believe that I can only be exactly where I am supposed to be and when I am supposed to be there. As a gnome watching a giant tower of explosion, I certainly hope we're not."
Wolf Pup is beneath the group, “I am a hopeful individual, but you all do make this sound like anything pleasant is happening.” As Wolf Pup gets up to surface, “Oh... yes, this is bad.”

Fenchurch smiles, even in this smelly sewer surrounded by bombs.
"Signed, The Madam's Marvels."
Fenchurch signs the letter, ties it to Zephyr's leg, and lets him loose.
"Alright, let's go find some bombs."

Barb is more than happy to lift a sewer cap to let Zephyr out, if not just for a breathe of fresh air. She will use her crowbar to help.

Ack! Tangle stops her and checks for scrawled goblin signs for 'blam' or 'safe' first.
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
OOC: Which sewer opening are you using? The closest one?
Yeah, sure, Tangle checks the closest sewer opening for scrawled words.

Tangle the shape written on the wall is the thieves' cant symbol for "Escape".
If this is the opening you choose, then I need both Barbara and Tangle to give me perception checks as they open it.
Tangle says, “Here,” as she indicates the opening. She goes up and carefully opens the hatch.

Fenchurch casts light on his own so he can see on the smoke, covers his mouth and nose with his sleeve, and follows his team, towards the tower

Perry climbs up and looks around to see if Zephyr flew off or if she stayed given the situation.

Zephyr flew off, I'd say she's still within range if you wanna try and call her back.
"Think we're too late?" asks Perry as he watches the little owl disappear into a cloud of smoke.
