The party tramps down the passage, with only Nessie escaping detection. As you approach the room, you see an odd sight ahead of you. Three zombies appear to be putting on a play of some sort, dressed as a bear, a well-dressed lady, and a jester. They caper around the place, not seeming to make any threatening moves.

(Oh, should I've rolled again? Or is Falynn not hidden just because of the low Stealth roll?)
"Undead, that's what they are." This is not simply stating the obvious, as she's clearly not too happy about them, it comes as a bit of sarcasm under stress. "If they are going to attack, I'd advise we do it first, before they get the chance."

(No problem, I know that, but saying "not hidden" is most commonly used to tell someone they haven't rolled for stealth, but since we did roll, it's more like saying they're not well hidden. I'm not trying to be picky with words here, I'm just explaining the confusion.)

(Whoops, my bad. The second passage is actually to the left.)
(Nessie hears a very faint rustling sound from the left passage, and nothing from the right.)

"I hear some rustling to the left... maybe we should investigate a little more -- I'm not sure what it is."
Gash - Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
Hansel nods and keeps his scimitars in front. "Lead the way."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Nessie leads everyone down the left passage.

(100% I'm trying to be stealthy)
Stealth: 20
Gash - Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
(Yup, I'd think so, if Nessie told the party there was a sound coming from there, I'm sure most of our characters would try to go a little quieter.)
Falynn
Stealth: 7
(She/Her)
Velmine - Tiefling, Rogue (9), Swashbuckler - Dead in Thay
Riris Swiftwhistle - Halfling, Bard (4), College of Swords - Lost Mines of Phandelver
Rellahne Vanderboren - Half-Elf, Wizard (4), School of Abjuration - The Shackled City
Ann Hidrizo - Human, Fighter (2) - Amphail Adventures
Sha - Firbolg, Cleric (3), Twilight Domain - Hunt for the Wish Dragon
(Sure, I'll try and be stealthy)
Stealth: 8

(Is it a dead end or is there more passage beyond the zombies? Anything else of interest near them: chests gold weapons and valuables at all?)
Perception: 17
Gash - Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
There are two crevices just barely large enough to fit in towards the back of the room, one more to the left and one more to the right.
Nessie, you also notice that the zombies seem to be moving steadily closer.
The room is about 20 feet long, 40 feet wide, and irregularly shaped. Many crevices too small to fit in branch off of the room.

X'rax
Stealth: 2
X'ray whispers: "Anyone any idea, what that is supposed to be?"
Nessie whispers back, “I’m not sure but we may need to stay hidden and ambush them.”
Nessie takes out her daggers. And readies an attack as soon as one of them gets in range
(Do I need to roll another stealth?)
Gash - Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
(X'rax is also hidden. I'll treat that as if you rolled it beforehand.)
(Nessie, you do not need another stealth check.)
(I'll wait to hear back from Hansel and Falynn before resolving this encounter.)
(Remember, Hansel and Falynn aren't hidden.)

Hansel claps his scimitars together. "I'm ready for a fight."

(In D&D terms, you can't be not well hidden. Any DM I've ever seen has simply said "You're not hidden.")
(Go ahead and roll initiative then. Nessie and X'rax have a surprise round, and would gain advantage on their first attack.)
Zombie Initiative: 0
