Andmarir is rather silent after bringing down the other room. Yet he listens to the conversation as it progresses and keeps his words to himself for now.
(OOC: Ah, yes! The return of bad guardsman, crazy guardsman!)
As Utar and Graxx start bullying Rillo, Neya's concoction goes to work on Villonah and results seem quite effective. A voice you have only heard in whispers til now speaks up: "Thank you for saving and healing me." she nods at both Neya and Drazzim. "I can answer those questions myself, but I'll keep it short so I can be attended to." The gnome girl does not rise, still quite physically shaken. Unlike her body, she sounds quite sure of herself, and a lot more confident than either Yllivia or Rillo even in her current state. "Rillo is my fool of a father. He sub-exists by making easy money from his tinkering shop, but I was made for grander things. His heart is in the right place but his mind isn't."She turns to Rillo: "Go home, father... and thank you."
She then continues, her speech being that of a young woman of action: "Yllivia is a friend. We are both members of the Order of the Gauntlet. I had a mission to complete that involved stealing from the Black Fist. Clearly I failed. I assume they sent her to rescue me, but it would seem my father was more efficient... for once."
She concludes: "Now, please take me to the Ruined Lyceum and collect your reward. Then, forget you have ever seen me, especially in that state."
You can all tell that all of this is news to Rillo (as established before, he has problem hiding his emotions). He is agasp, and not knowing what to say or do, starts moving towards the door.
Rag helps gather everything and as he leaves he locks the main door behind him "This kinda reminds of my first masters guild hall, it may be of use someday."
"Don't worry, selective memory is among my specialties..." Neya says to Villonah.
"Something occurs to me though. Your father said you were arrested for theft, but nothing we saw on the Black Fist members that were here suggested that they retrieved anything. All we saw on them we some weapons, some coin and other miscellany."
As Utar stops Rillo to console him, Graxx asks for their dues. Rillo answers both warriors: "Thank you, but you were the ones who saved her. I might not be the best father around but one day she'll understand. Once she has little fuzzies of her own, she'll realize a parent will do anything for their offspring, acknowledged or not." He shows a brave smile and then changes the subject: "As for your payment, as specified earlier, you'll have to follow me to my home. I do not walk around with that amount of gold in my purse. I do carry these however, and they are also part of your recompense, so here you go." He then places his Pipe of Smoke Monsters in Utar's hand, and a well-made magnifying glass (piece of treasure worth 70gp if sold) in Graxx's hand. "I'm not sure how you plan to share those two things among all seven of you, but good luck. The gold will be easier to share, I promise."
The group then collects their things (OOC: including any useful piece of loot Rag had locked inside one of the cells -- what exactly is up to you guys.) and begins to head out. Yllivia is now more concerned with caring for Villonah, and thus does not engage in much conversation as the group walks. Once all have left, Rag looks the place up for potential future use.
On their way back outside, Villonah and Neya continue their conversation. "I guess we can trust your selective memory a bit more at this point. My mission was a map. I stole a map from the Black Fists that is rumored to lead to the lair of a white dragon in the mountains to the north" While still being carried by Drazzim, Villonah reaches for the sole of her right bare foot. With some difficulty, she peels of a patch of fake skin, briefly revealing a corner of a hand-drawn map. She hides it back again before anyone has a change to have a good look at it. "There, you saved me and unknowingly helped the Order of the Gauntlet. In return we have shared a valuable piece of information with you. Now that we are all squared up, here's another deal. You all promise to keep this information for yourselves, and Yllivia here will share with you the contents of her coin purse." Yllivia pouts but does not disagree. "What say you?"
Rag gathers everything "I would still like to take those gems? I think though we should try and figure out what that rope is and if anything else that might be useful for anything else but selling?" Rag will take the opportunity to slip the gems into his pouch, if no one else seems to object quickly.
(OOC: You have the total list of stuff or need me to do an inventory?)
Taking Neya's words to be that of the entire group, Yllivia places her pouch on the monk's hand: "It is a deal then." Neya quickly counts the equivalent of 98gp inside.
Then turning to Rag, the elf will casts a couple of instances of Identify during the walk out, revealing that the rope is a Rope of Mending and the orb is a Driftglobe.
At the mouth of the cave that leads into the secret passage by the river, the group stops for a moment. The first point of order is the distribution of loot.
(I didn't have much time to think about this message at all, but I think it's good enough for the situation I'm in... It's unfortunate I couldn't have gave it more thought this time around.)
Just as Rag notes about the lack of the borrowed diamond, he notices that Marfaen was already on his way to delivering it before he started speaking, and after a small halt of confusion, Marfaen does hand it over as soon as he can.
After that, the Half-Elf starts looking in the huge amount of things the group got, thinking alone about every single thing there.
"Hm... I don't really want much... I think just the potion and the money I already have on me right now will work... Whatever else you get by selling those items, you can share between you six, I have some things I need to do, so... See ya."
Epilogue:
Marfaen leaves again. Last time he didn't make much use of his visit to town, he left his hermitage just to find himself in a fight with some Will-o'-Wisps, and then he went back to his hermitage to write about his newest insight about arcana, when he learned some new spells he hadn't thought about before.
But this time, it would be different, this time he would stay in town and search, and so he did. After he took one day of rest, Marfaen started looking for anything magical, anything interesting the town could have, he didn't have any specific item in mind, his search was random, since it wasn't often he was visiting any towns anyways.
The money Marfaen had on him probably wasn't worth much, and he really couldn't tell, since he was that unfamiliarized with towns or cities, but he wanted to spend some of it on something, even if it was the smallest trinket, just because there was an inner feeling that that's what he should do, and he was easily driven by it.
A few minutes pass and a portion of the loot is parceled out (details in the OOC chat). From here, the group will need to split up in order to make sure all loose ends are tied up.
-> Some need to follow Rillo in order to get the party's payment for the completed job. The old gnome will pay 50gp to each of you. (I believe this was already included in @RagnerMonk's calculations, but he can confirm.)
-> Others are welcome to help Yllivia take Villonah to the Ruined Lyceum for medical treatment.
-> Yet others, like Marfaen, might decide this is the point where they travel into the sunset (it is the Danger at Dusk, after all.)
-> A fourth group may want to go along with Rag to sell all the remaining loot.
All of this can happen off-screen. Unless told otherwise, I'll assume the group will agree to meet up outside the now closed Tea Kettle to divide the gains in-game. We can pick up from there in my next post. Up to you guys.
As Marfaen leaves to pursue he own studies, the group separates into a few more sub-parties:
-> Andmarir, Graxx, and Rag head straight to the market. With any luck, the stalls that remain open until early evening are still up for some business.
-> Neya and Utar accompany Rillo, partially to console the fatherly gnome and partially to collect theirs dues.
-> Drazzim accompanies Yllivia in taking Villonah to the Ruined Lyceum for treatment.

As Rillo moves out of the room and into the daylight beyond, Utar claps a hand in his shoulder, stopping him.in his tracks.
"Know that your daughter would likely still be in that cage if it were not for you. She is safe now, largely because of you."
With that, Utar lets him pass.
Rag helps gather everything and as he leaves he locks the main door behind him "This kinda reminds of my first masters guild hall, it may be of use someday."
