Ian moves to the southeast and swings both weapons at the (orange) creature. The hairy beast is able to deflect the first attack, but the second gets in under its defenses. (12 damage)
The (black and blue) creatures fire two more arrows at Gruxx. (longbow attack: 10, damage: 7 piercing damage — longbow attack: 10, damage: 7 piercing damage — fumble roll: 6 — 1:Gruxx, 2: Glyn, 3: HDP, 4: Rock, 5: blue — 1 — longbow attack: 8, damage: 3 piercing damage)
One of the arrows hits the human barbarian, but his rage reduces the damage. (8/2=4 damage, 10 hp left) The second arrow goes very wide, heading for Rock, but the dragonborn easily dodges the projectile.
Both the (green and orange) creatures drop their bows and clasp javelins. Green lunges at Rock while orange jabs at HDP. (spear attack: 7, damage: 5 piercing damage — spear attack: 22, damage: 10 piercing damage) Rock uses his new bladed gauntlet to bat away his attacker's javelin. And, despite being on the floor, the Herr Doktor Professor is able to roll out of the way, and the javelin aimed at him clangs against the stone floor.
Glyn, you're up! You are still in melee with Orange.
OOC: I keep forgetting that the creatures' AC is 13, not 15, so both of Ian's attacks hit for a total of 20 damage, not 12.
Fumble roll for Glyn's second attack: 7 — "Stuck Weapon. Your weapon gets stuck in your opponent’s shield, armour, hide, or else in a tree or wall, or the ground. Roll a Strength check to see if you can free it using a bonus action. The DC is 8 + your strength modifier." As you were using your bonus action to make the attack, you'll have to try to unstick it next round.
Glynquinal swings his first shortsword at the (orange) creature. Already looking close to collapsing, its reactions are slow, and the blow is enough to take it out. (A little bit of metagaming since you know to keep out of Rock's breath weapon, but since you told him to help Gruxx, I'm going to say you ran to face ...) As the first creature is dropping, the elf runs south to face the (green) creature. He raises his second shortsword and swings, but the blade catches in the hairy beast's hide armor, sticking fast.
In the meantime, Rock turns and releases a cone of flame from his gold maw at both black and blue. (DEX save DC11 for black and blue: 3 and 3) Both creatures are surprised by the attack and caught in the flame. The smell of burnt hair immediately assails everyone's nostrils. (7 damage and 7 damage)
Gruxx, you're up! Orange and yellow are down. You can't really get to green, but you can get to both black and blue.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The Herr Doktor Professor stands and viciously mocks the (green) creature. (WIS save DC13: 7) The echoing noise of battle in the cave seems to have lessened his ability, and the creature seems to shake it off.
Round 3: Ian, unknowns, Glyn, Gruxx & Rock, HDP
Ian swings with both weapons at the (green) creature. (rapier attack: 10, damage: 4 piercing damage; dagger attack: 13, damage: 3 piercing damage; sneak attack: 11) With his final jab of his dagger, Ian brings down the (green) creature.
Both the (black and blue) creatures drop their bows, grab their spears, and jab at Gruxx. (spear attack: 9, damage: 8 piercing damage — spear attack: 5, damage: 7/2=2 piercing damage) The barbarian is able to deflect one of the attacks, but the second gets in under his defenses. Luckily, the barbarian's rage lesses the attack. (8 hp left)
Glynquinal, you're up! As the green creature fell, the momentum of it falling dislodged your weapon, so you don't have to use an action to pull it out.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Glynquinal seeing Green fall will move to W15 to take up a flanking position with Gruxx on Blue. Snatching his shortsword as he goes by he takes two well aimed swipes at Blue.
Glynquinal slides by Rock and, using Gruxx's position to help give him a distraction advantage, swings his swords at the back of the (blue) creature. The first sword cuts a nasty gash down the creature's back, causing it to turn and duck as the second weapon flies through the air. (11 damage, 18 total) It growls at Glynquinal as blood begins to run down its back.
Gruxx and Rock, you're up! The remaining two creatures are both in pretty bad shape.
While the creature's armor protects it from Rock's first attack, the second strike is able to find an opening and deals a mortal blow. The creature slumps to the floor, leaving only one last creature.
OOC: Rock, please listen to me. Your offhand attacks (attacks made as a bonus action) do not get the damage modifier. That attack only dealt 6 points, not 5. Luckily, it was enough. But you need to pay attention to what you're doing. The attack get the bonus (+5). The bonus (offhand) attack does not. There are some traits/features that will allow you to get the damage bonus on both, but you don't have any of those.
Glynquinal to Gruxx, "If there was anyone else around, I'm sure we'd have noticed them by now. We seem to run into conflict every time we visit this place"
Glynquinal will make a search of the bodies, and then the room looking for anything of interest, particularly any drawings of the party members that might be around.

Attack: 24 Damage: 14
Gruxx steps up and jabs the (black) creature with his glaive. (14 damage, 21 total) The hairy beast looks like a gust of wind will knock it over.

Gruxx sensing victory charges the last remaining creature.
He raises his glaive and !!recklessly!! brings it down aiming to slice at the shoulder.
Attack: 24 Damage: 8
The final creature is put out of its misery. As it collapses, the echoes of battle die away in the cave.
Combat is over. Everyone earns another 100 xp.
Glynquinal wipes off his short swords on the body of the beast laying in front of him, then tucks them back in their sheaths.
To Gruxx, "Friend Gruxx, have you ever seen anything like these before? I wonder if they were waiting for us."
Anyone who wants to determine whether they're familiar with these creatures should roll either a history or nature check (your choice).
Glynquinal searches his memory trying to recall if he heard of creatures like they just fought before.
History 13
Ian and HDP also try to recall if they know:
Ian 19
HDP 16
Ian says to all "That was well fought. A tough fight, but well done."
HDP will offer to heal Gruxx, seeing how bloody he is after the fight. He casts Cure Wounds and heals Gruxx for 8 points of healing.
Gruxx doesn’t breathe quite as heavy after getting the healing.
”Thank you for the aid... I’ve never seen anything like this. Whatever they were they got me good....”
Gruxx breathes a sigh of relief.
”I’m glad we’re all whole. I’d say anything nearby heard all that racket.”
