Velmine takes 10 Posion damage from the cloud, and decides that leaving is the best plan. She dashes through and out of the cloud, and then over to the Wizard. Her Shortsword flashes out and the Wizard's head is rolling away from his body before he knows what is happening. The Cloudkill sphere disappears.
The reddish creature hurls two gouts of flames, as if they were a rock or spear.
The first flame targets (1-2=Velmine, 3=Xavier, 4=Eiren, 5=Corvin, 6=Baik) 4 Corvin Attack: 12 Damage: 24 Fire Damage. Corvin is a little bit toasty as the gout a flames surrounds him.
The second flame targets (1-2=Velmine, 3=Xavier, 4=Eiren, 5=Corvin, 6=Baik) 3 Velmine Attack: 22 Damage: 17 Fire Damage. The hurled flames pass right by Velmine's head. She can feel the heat, but it dosen't damage her.
(Oh, by the way. I was expecting A1 to get an AoO on Velmine for her just running out the way she did. It was purposeful since I can't imagine a big consequence out of it unless the apprentice has the War Caster feat, and I needed the speed to actually get to the wizard.)

I actually rolled the opportunity attack, but I double checked and read this... (Deleted post)
You can make an opportunity attack when a hostile creature that you can see moves out of your reach. To make the opportunity attack, you use your reaction to make one melee attack against the provoking creature. The attack occurs right before the creature leaves your reach.
Since the area was heavily obscured she couldn't see you.
(Oh! That went right past me... But it kinda makes the scene a little cooler... Velmine used the Cloudkill as a sort of smoke bomb to vanish from the apprentice's sight and go kill someone else.)
Corvin moves into the room (to E20) and calls on his deity to Bless his allies (level 1 spell slot, targeting Eiren, Velmine, and Xavier, using Embodiment of The Law to make it a Bonus Action and Voice of Authority to let Eiren use his reaction to make one more weapon attack against the reddish creature), then launches a Sacred Flame at the same creature.
Baik follows Corvins attack with a 2nd Sacred Flame, showering the Red Creature in gold. Sadly, Baik is not as powerful in combat as everyone else, especially with his limited Spell Slots and lack of actions he can perform.
Corvin decides to do a complicated maneuver that blesses his allies and lets Eiren take another shot at the reddish creature. Then he casts a Sacred Flame at the reddish creature, catching him unprepared.
Baik also casts Sacred Flame, but the creature is able to avoid the second blast of holy fire.
Xavier is up, Eiren can use his reaction to attack the reddish creature.
Xavier moves up to G15 and his eyes glow a purplish blue as he casts cone of cold at the creature and apprentices. DC16 con save or take 32 cold damage on a failed save. Half damage on successful save.

Velmine dashes and circles around the difficult terrain, until she's right behind the last enemy. At K11, her piercing attempting at plunging with her rapier goes out.
Attack:28Damage:29 Piercing
She then tries to get a safe distance away from it, but her attempt only gets her to N11.
Velmine moves to attack and deals a good stab with her Shortsword to the reddish creature, she then moves whet she hopes is out of the creatures reach.
The reddish creature flies over the huge curable to J,K-15,16 and picks up one the the large falchions laying on the ground, and then (still flying) dashes straight north past the fire vent.
Edit: Velmine you can see that it stops moving towards the middle of the next room, right in front of a low, round pool of molten material sits. Tendrils of smoke curl up from it, moving in unnatural ways.
Eiren it's up to you to decide if you want to pursue him or let him go. If you let him go everyone receives 640xp, if you pursue him

"Take it down! Don't let it escape." Eiren shouts, moving to F14 (the square just NW of Xavier) and fires off fourmagic missiles, each of which deals 2 force damage to the monster. (last second-level spell slot)
New map showing the next room (which currently only Velmine can see)
The room discretion is...
A low, round pool of molten material sits at the center of this chamber. Tendrils of smoke curl up from it, moving in unnatural ways. In three of the corners stand several red urns, most of them cracked and empty but a few still closed and glowing with eldritch glyphs. In the middle of the pool of molten material is a large creature that Velmine can't really make out because of the smoke.
Eiren decides to press the attack. (I think you didn't read where Velmine moved to because F14 on the old map doesn't afford you line of sight. I'll let you redo your turn. You can keep the rolls if you still use Magic Missile if you want or re-roll them.
(Oh....eww. lol, I'm like "don't let it escape" and I can't even see it anymore.)
OOC
Regarding "Velmine," no, I meant "Xavier." I just had a brain fart when I was typing. F14 would be NW of Xavier, not Velmine. BUT I am not sure how I missed the fact that the red guy left the room!! He is booking. I feel like I grossly misread the situation...he just straight up flew like over 100 feet and out of the room.
Sorry guys, my intent was to try and stop him while he was trying to run, but I didn't realize he was flying completely out of the room. I don't think I can even get to within line of sight of the guy; there's no way I can cast magic missile on him.
Just ignore my entire last post, and we'll do this instead if that's okay.
For Eiren's turn, he will move diagonally as far as he can go, avoiding or jumping over the difficult terrain as necessary.
By my count that puts Eiren in H25. From your new position you can see that the rough cavern splits off from the smooth walls of the adjacent chamber. Its floor is covered in a layer of ash. You are pretty sure it is an alternative way to the next chamber.

Xavier, Corvin, Eiren, and Baik are up.
“Thanks for taking care of that, Velmine!”
Eiren fires another two arrows, these ones straight for the red guy that is hurling fire.
Attack: 18 Damage: 9 piercing
Attack: 17 Damage: 8 piercing
(Btw doesn’t Sacred Flame ignore cover?)
