Bala covers his mouth with his opposite hand, looking in horror as his claw broke off in the lock. "Sweet lord - Ah!" He hisses, swiping at Ericina as she sprayed him. "Can't you see I'm already in pain!" He put his finger in his mouth. That'll take a while to heal. And it's this houses fault! "Once more!" He pops another claw from the opposite hand, takes out the broken claw and puts the fresh one in the lock.
"Youch that looks painfull, I hope its worth it. I would appreciate it Ericina if you didn't pick on someone already in pain" Roux says, and does what he can to help Bala with the lockpicking

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(In 5e every skill and tool has a passive level that can be used in place of rolls. Basically it lets you take a short time after the first roll to keep trying until it opens or doesn't. Bala, your passive thieves' tools roll is 15 = (10(Base)+3(DEX mod)+2(Prof. bonus) which is just enough to open the cabinet.)
Bala, after several minutes and a few pinched claws, you finally manage to pry open the lock with a satisfying click. Inside the cabinet is a heavy crossbow, a light crossbow, a hand crossbow, and 20 bolts for each weapon. Unfortunately, there are no false backings and you all don't seem to be any closer to finding the entrance to the basement.
Ericina, you don't find much hidden, but you do manage to pocket 3 gold coin(s) which have fallen behind the cushions of the padded chairs. Besides that, you see everything that has already been detailed in this room, the stuff out in the open as well as the wineglasses and playing cards in the unlocked cabinet.
Adira, you open up the door in the middle of the main hall between the two dining room doors. It is a cloakroom and has several black cloaks hanging from hooks on the walls. A top hat sits on a high shelf. No trapdoors to be seen.
Krolbrik, as you look around the room you open up the door which leads to a cramped closet where tidy servants’ uniforms hang from hooks. You look around at the dumbwaiter shaft it seems like a small person could fit inside.
Adira sighs and closes the closet door. She moves to the last unopened door on the first floor. "Maybe it's in the kitchen,"she mumbles, "Kitchens should connect to the cellar..."

Adira, the kitchen is tidy, with dishware, cookware, and utensils neatly placed on shelves. A worktable has a cutting board and rolling pin atop it. A stone, dome-shaped oven stands near the east wall, its bent iron stovepipe connecting to a hole in the ceiling. Behind a small door in the southwest corner of the kitchen is a dumbwaiter — a 2-foot-wide stone shaft containing a wooden elevator box attached to a simple rope-and-pulley mechanism that must be operated manually. Hanging on the wall next to the dumbwaiter is a tiny brass bell attached by wires to buttons in those other areas. No basement here.
Bala is on his knees, his shaking paws held close to his face. A tad dramatic, but given where he was, he'd argue it fit. He sneers up at Roux,"You owe me a nail file..."he hisses, reaching in and snatching the hand crossbow and bolts." I believe I deserve this." He huffs, walking back downstairs.
Krolbrik doesn't touch anything, but he does take a chance to glance around the room. From what he could tell, these were some type of servants' quarters, but for who? A man? A woman? He looks around for hints to their identity.
Krolbrik, the uniforms hanging in the closet are unisex. The footlockers are empty and there are no personal effects around. Its unclear who these people are besides servants.
Well! Not seeing any trap doors or staircases down, Adira will try the door in the back on the kitchen. Maybe it's a pantry and there's a way down from there...

Adira, on the other side of the door is a well-stocked pantry. Fresh meats, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, breads and more are piled up in this storeroom. No trapdoors though.
Finding only robes of the same type, differing only slightly in size and cut, Krolbrik had at least established that this certainly was the home of a well-to-do family who had probably wasted more gold than he had ever seen or would likely care to spend in his lifetime.
Deciding he needed to continue his investigation, Krolbrik would leave Aka in the servants' quarters and go walking out back to the second floor hall. From there, Krolbrik would attempt to open the northern facing set of double doors, set between the strange sets of armor.
"Sorry about that bala, I'll see what I can do" Realizing that there's probably not much more down here otherwise his companions would have probably mentioned it Roux will go upstairs and head through the south door opposite of Krolbrik and investigate the room.
(Reminder that north is left on these maps, but I'll assume you mean the east set of doors.)
Krolbrik, red velvet drapes cover the windows of this room. An exquisite mahogany desk and a matching high-back chair face the entrance and the unlit fireplace, above which hangs a framed picture of a windmill perched atop a rocky crag. Situated in corners of the room are two overstuffed chairs. Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves line the south wall. A rolling wooden ladder allows one to more easily reach the high shelves.
The desk has several items resting atop it: an unlit oil lamp, a jar of ink, a quill pen, a tinderbox, and a letter kit containing a red wax candle, four blank sheets of parchment, and a wooden seal bearing the Durst family’s insignia, a windmill.
Roux, gossamer drapes cover the windows of this elegantly appointed hall, which has a brass-plated chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Upholstered chairs line the walls, and stained-glass wall hangings depict beautiful men, women, and children singing and playing instruments. A harpsichord with a bench rests in the northwest corner. Near the unlit fireplace is a large standing harp. Alabaster figurines of well-dressed dancers adorn the mantelpiece. Upon closer inspection, several of the alabaster figurines are carvings of well-dressed skeletons.

Feeling silly, Adira will sheath her rapier and crouch down to look under tables and such to investigate the kitchen to see if there's a concealed trap door somewhere. Maybe they hid it to keep their fancy wine safe?

Adira, afraid not. As you look around you notice they store their wine in a keg in the pantry, burned into the side of the wooden barrel are the words "Champagne Du Le Stomp." No trapdoors to be found.
Adira sighs and puts her hands on her hips. With no monster or basement in sight, she's starting to think they might just be dealing with two frightened children who have been left alone in a big house for too long. She'll make her way back to the entrance of the house to talk to them a bit more.

Adira, you step out of the house onto the portico. The thick mist now completely covers the front of the house, obscuring your vision of the other side of the street. You look around on the portico for the children but they are nowhere to be found. Make a perception check.
Yesqirelle will follow them upstairs, staying completely silent.
