LAIR ACTION
DM's Screen:
Rays: 96
Targets: 16
DC: 1719
The inside of the crystal in the center of the room begins to swirls again. Part of the coloring remains moss green, but a fair amount turns a dark red. Two rays shoot out at Abe, the moss green one approaching first.
-> Abe's STR saving throw {DC 26}: 11
The moss green ray envelops the cleric and remains tethered to the crystal. Abe is pushed backward and against the nearest obelisk {MC-10}. The assimar finds his movements are now restrained.
The dark red ray follows, untethered from the crystal:
-> Abe's CON saving throw {DC 26}: 24
The ray hits the aasimar's armor and fails to pass onto his body. Abe feels no different as a result of this ray.
(Boomshakala and Abe are up next. Both need to start their turns with a {DC 25} WIS saving throw. It counts as a magical effect).
Trapped between fighting back the pain and magical bonds holding him fast, any mental defense Abe would normally puts forth is pushed aside without much trouble. He looks to Lot with bright eyes and happy smile, and starts to nods. "You have... seen... the light... at last... Hehe..."He said goofily.
(@Lerus: Ignore the below part if not possible/reasonable due to unknown limitations of Lot's ability; assuming it to be the same as what afflicted Tupoc earlier.)
As Abe lazily looks to the others, something starts to nag at his consciousness. At first he brushed aside, thinking it to be as futile as his freeing himself from what held him fast. But the more he look, the more the confusion grew in mind. Eventually, he closed his eyes and tried to will away the concern in the most extreme way possible. A prayer bead flashes with a golden light, and with a gasp, Abe snaps to focus.
"You would think you can subvert my will so easily? After... after seeing my friends fall victim?" He says breathily, visibly sweating at the moment. For though the magic had purged his system, the process left him drain. Shakily, a golden finger is moved just far enough to point at roughly in the Lot's direction. "Heed the bells of fate... Accept... your long overdue end!"He demands, causing church bells to ring in the sorcerer's head!
(@Grx: Please make sure to account for the spell slots and sorcery points used in your turn. Also, please make sure that both your current and max HP accounts for the sudden loss of 15 points since you lost aid... see below).
The dragonborn begins to convince himself that since Lot was a friend before, he must still be a friend now, right? Noticing that Selrahc must be arriving the same conclusion but doubting that both would do so at exactly the same time (give or take 6 seconds), Boomshakala takes some precautions and twin casts a dispel magic spell calling on his draconic bloodline.
-> Check to see if Polymorph drops from Selrahc {DC 14}: 11 - spell remains.
-> Check to see if Aid drops from Boomshakala {DC 14}: 14 - spell drops.
Though the Mammoth form remains, the barbarian feels in control of his feelings once more. The caster too feels free of the forced emotion. This freedom comes at the cost of a few buffs.
The cleric too begins to think that perhaps they should all just stop fighting. Not fully trusting that conclusion, Abe drains the light from one of his magical beads and forces that dubious thought out of his head.
Yessaris re-appears in a swirl of mist, and almost scowling at the device at his chest. He huffs, and after clamoring his way up onto the next ledge, and that much closer to the stone. Though this time more mindful of the pressure it seemed to exert the last, he digs his feet in, aiming this time to study the runes(?) about the stone in search for a clue on how perhaps to disrupt the connection between Lot and the runes.
"Not much energy left. But perhaps... if I... if Inject my own magic into the formula forcefully, or knick that rune there with the defender-..."He trails off muttering in discontent.
For what may be the final time, an ethereal voice pipes up from Yessari's chest and says, "Protocol Concluded. Preserver Servant of Erathis."
Future Reaction(Yessaris): Cast (1st level)Shield if applicable for an 'attack' that's 27 or less If subject to an effect that would apply to Elemental Dampeners first that does 20 or more damage, using that instead.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
YESSARIS
The artificer reappears at the edge of the top platform and approaches the runes surrounding the center crystal. Spending a few seconds to read them (they are written in DeepSpeech),Yessaris comes to understand that they serve to effectively cast a version of the spell Forcecage around the crystal. Yessaris deduces that any manner of interaction with the runes functions as being "only partially within the area" (as per the spell description). The yuan-ti also learns that the duration of this spell is connected with the link between the crystal and Lysanderoth.
Yessaris' studies are interrupted by his chest's voice, letting him know that his emulation of the arcane Blink spell has concluded.
-> Blink has run its course and drops from Yessaris.
LEGENDARY ACTION
A restrainedAbe sees Lot's scythe coming for his chest:
-> Curtain-Call Scythe vs. Abe: Attack: 30Damage: 35 magical slashing and fire.
Luckily, Lot's swing was particularly lacking in strength, so the aasimar's armor is enough to stop it.
Nox reappears at {MM-5} (remember to account for the vertical distance). She then moves to {MG-5} to be within range and casts True Polymorph on Abe. The cleric is still forced against the obelisk, but his form begins to mutate and enlarge. The transformation is sudden, and within a few seconds Abe is reshaped into an Androsphinx.
As the wizard relaxes after casting the consuming spell, she notices that her last image fades away.
-> Mirror Image ran its course and has now dropped from Nox.
"All these transformations!" Lot complains ironically and wrathfully. He turns to look for Nox but cannot find her. "Was it you, then?" he asks Tupoc while flying to meet the monk:
-> Curtain-Call Scythe vs. Tupoc: Attack: 35 Damage: 76 magical slashing and fire.
-> Curtain-Call Scythe vs. Tupoc: Attack: 25 Damage: 45 magical slashing and fire.
Two deep fiery slashes cut the floating monk almost in half (Tupoc takes a whopping 121 magical slashing and fire damage - this damage was adjusted in the post below).
(Tupoc and Selrahc go next. Both need to start their turns with a WIS saving throw {DC 25}. Selrahc can roll with advantage due to Aura of Purity. I'll give Tupoc advantage as well due to Shielded Mind, instead of the bonus action interpretation he had before. Abe may try an opportunity attack at disadvantage if he'd like).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tupoc expends his last point of Luck to force a reroll of that critical hit (new roll: 28)
The attack misses, meaning that Tupoc takes a lesser total of 45 magical slashing and fire damage.
Wisdom save at the beginning of the turn (DC25): 25
Tupoc once again is forced to focus and calm his mind on his turn (Stillness of Mind) (@Lerus: if you are fine with continuing to use the BA interpretation, I'll finish the rest of the turn, but because of the advantage on the saving throw, I'm assuming it would take a full action, so that ends the turn).
(@Hydra: Yes, as mentioned OOC earlier today, lets revert back to the "full action" interpretation).
-> Adding a Bless roll to that WIS save {DC 25}: 2 for a total of 20.
The Couatl-hybrid wants to retaliate against Lysanderoth, but begins to lose control over his mind again. Prioritizing his sanity, Tupoc spends a few seconds to Still his Mind.
The mammoth is not able to maintain a clear mind for very long. Now charmed once again, Selrahc sees no enemies in the battlefield. Choosing to bide his time, Selrach maintains his defensive stance.
The inside of the crystal in the center of the room begins to swirls again. The part of its internal liquid that adopted a moss green color remains, but the dark red portion turns instead into a sky blue tint.
The transformed cleric remains affixed to the northeastern pillar, his movements still restrained.
The brand new sky blue ray shoots in the direction that would lead to Nox, were she still around. The ray hits the far wall and dissipates harmlessly.
(Boomshakala and Abe are up next. Both need to begin their turns with a WIS saving throw {DC 25} and become charmed as before. The Sphinx is immune to the condition, but should still roll. If he fails, nothing happens... for now).
Abinx calms significantly quick, and looks back and forth between his own claws and Lot. "Interesting. Having seen these claws in action before, I know full well their strength. The fact that you resisted either means you are becoming more resilient as time goes on, or...."He glances over to the crystal, narrows his eyes. "A test then." Abinx closes his eyes for a brief moment. But when snaps them open next, they are aglow with divine, golden light that spreads to encompass his entirety.
Now shielded by the miracle, he tests his wings -- limbs, and then some, to see if with the newfound repellent, he might might fly in to engage Lot once more.

-> Abe is no longer charmed.
Seeing an opportunity to go on the offensive despite being restrained, Abe tries to make Lot hurt for trying to control his mind:
-> Lysanderoth's WIS saving throw {DC 19}: 29
The spell fails, and the aasimar's extra protection also fades.
-> Sanctuary drops from Abe.
