The Birdman becomes prone but struggles effectively enough for Grixx to not be able to drag him (@Grx: you only had 5 feet left of movement, which is not enough to move away while dragging someone.)
Jury, Nox and Dredge take Grixx's blitz as a signal to start acting. They too move into the room, but before being able to do anything else...
(@All: With the first hostile move taking advantage of the "surprise" -- in quotes because i do not mean it as the surprise mechanics in the rules -- we'll be going into initiative)
The colorful Bird gets shocked by a lightning bolt coming from above. A second one hits and then a third. The Bird seem to become more restless in the process, if not a bit larger too.
The Birdman will release a foul dark smoky energy from beneath its robes. It occupies the space around the strange creature slowly at first, but then rushes up Grixx's nose:
-> Grixx CHA saving throw {DC 20}: 3 - Grixx is now charmed by the Birdman. I'll say that while charmedGrixx cannot maintain his grip on the charmer, as it would constitute a harmful action.
The creature will then stand up and begin moving away with the rest of its movement. It then attempts to cast Fly but it is Counterspelled by Jury (reference). He ends up at {AP59}: "Who are you, and where is my horse what do you want with me?"
(I'll resolve Jury's, Nox's, and Dredge's turn next.)
Jury will try to Counterspell(3rd level) if possible, negating thecreature's Fly.
(@Lerus Two small addendum, Jury will command the Greatsword to 'kill the creature'. As he cannot give the doors separate command until the next turn, they will also be given the same mental 'kill' order until next turn. In addition, he will say in response: "Answer: Getting answers, and you will not be permitted to impede us.")
(As he cannot properly start his search this turn partially because he needed to get out and drop his sword, only Verdict will be taking things on this first round.)

By the time Dredge reaches Grixx, the Birdman is already far away (Dredge is now at {AL54} while the Birdman is at {AP59}). The threat is heard nonetheless, to which the creature responds: "You were the ones who attacked me with no warning. I'm but a simple scholar studying this bird. You tell your group to settle down and I'll do the same."
Dredge takes a quick look at the Bird, but cannot quite come with a conclusion regarding its origin. As far as the druid can tell, this Bird-experiment is not of this world. He then consults his companion:
Yes. I do not know his name but the hunchback is a Nagpa, and the one responsible for either creating or extraditing otherworldly beings from their home planes. They use his creations/captives in the Arena, or for the Trials. We came across him in our search for Furloth's quarters.
I do not know one called Lysanderoth by name, but be watchful of anyone this Nagpa serves.
Nox finishes his rushed movement to get to the walls of the circular laboratory (He is at {AV58} now). He then starts looting some of the arcane supplies (we can roll after we are out of initiative to see what you found, but this will count as your action. Add a loot tokenr to your sheet somewhere so we can keep track of this afterwards.)
After the Counterspell, Jury also finishes his previously intended move, albeit slower than Nox. Thankfully, Verdict can aid him with the task at hand (same as above for Nox, but Verdict can only get 0.5 loot tokens per action spent on this.) Jury makes sure to animate the intended objects while moving with a casting of Animate Objects. (The doors are located at {AK49} and {AM49}, while the sword is at {AL49}. Your addendum regarding their orders is fine, but you may start moving them only in your next turn. Jury is at {AE52} and Verdict at {AC54}.)
(Alright. This was a bit confusing but I hope we are all squared now. Talon, Bone, and Grixx are up next.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
==Talon=Dwarf=Sorcerer/Warlock==
"Bone, are you sure we want to attack the creature? It is possible that he is a victim just like us." Talon does not understand the current situation and will wait to see what needs to be done before attacking the large electrified creature. Talon turns to the creature. "We wish to relate to you and do not want to be your enemy. We, like you, are victims of this system and have been brought here against our will. Is there a way we can help each other. I apologize for the energy of my friend here and hope we can move beyond this to mutual goals."
Feeling threatened by so many other birds in this arcane altar, Bone pics his target (Hunter's Mark) and lets one, two, three, four arrows fly in its direction. Three of them hit the Bird-experiment, who squawks loudly in pain. Its reaction seems to call forth even more lightning from the strange portal above. The Bird-experiment gets hit by lightning another three times, growing even larger in size (Bird-experiment - CMD: 57).
Bone's misguided arrow seems to hit the bird at first. Standing next to it, Grixx realizes that the arrow hit instead a device placed on the back of the creature's neck. It hits this rod-shaped device in such a way that it moves over, releasing the beast. This is exactly when another thick, powerful lightning bolt hits the bird with a bright flash and thunderous crack. In a flash, the now huge avian is 30 feet into the air, sparking in its own lightning, and sparkling in bright red and purple ethereal feathers. A loud eagle-like screech is heard from within its newfound fury. From the back of the room, your hear the Bird-scholar's voice: "Consider yourselves blessed, my visitors, you have just witnessed the birth of an Arclight Phoenix, and my creations are unrivaled!" He does not speak with the intonation of a threat, but with that of pride.
It is at this time that Talon tries to plea with the Arclight Phoenix. His words seemed convincing enough to prevent the majestic creature from immediately lunging at one of his companions, but Talon knows better than to rely on only words at a time like this. He casts Mirror Image as a defensive maneuver and prepares for a fight.
Charmed, Grixx stands there still trying to hug the Arclight Phoenix. The creature's previously restraining device lays by the barbarian's feet. (Grixx's Rage subsides for not attacking or being attacked.)
The Phoenix begins its long swooping dive, with Grixx set as its first prey. It flies straight at the barbarian, who still has its arms wide open. Once it gets within just a couple of feet away from him, it attempts to peck at Grixx mid-flight and then passes through the warrior as if it was made out of pure lightning.
Noticing the imminent danger, Grixx manages to duck just in time, but the rest of the Phoenix's body still passes through him. The huge bird continues its flight unhindered either by objects or creatures. In its arced flight path, in addition to Grixx, the Phoenix passes through Dredge, the two animated doors, the animated Moon-touched Sword, Talon, Jury, and Verdict. Each of you can feel the bite of lightning in your innards taking 7 lightning damage.
(Note: Before you ask, there is no attack roll or saving throw, and your AC does not come into play. Also, Mirror Image does not help because this is not considered an attack. None of this flying movement provokes attacks of opportunity)
Concentration saving throws {DC 10} all around (in the spoiler box below):
Dredge: 23;
Jury: 21;
Talon: 21.
(The Phoenix ends its turn on the 3x3 square encompassed by the diagonal {AC55, AD56, AE57}, 10 feet into the air.)
(Before this gets too long and confusing, I'll take the Bird-Scholar's turn into a new post.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The Bird-Scholar will move to {AT63} and say: "Away with you, counterspeller!" while casting Feeblemind:
-> Jury's INT saving throw {DC 20}: 18 - Jury's intelligent consciousness vanishes in an instant (both INT and CHA scores become 1, he can't cast spells, activate magic items, understand language, or communicate in any intelligible way. More details by hovering over the spell tooltip above. I'll rule that Jury can instinctively keep concentration on his present spell all else equal.)
-> Jury also takes 12 psychic damage and must succeed a concentration saving throw {DC 10}: 10 - Animate Objects persists.
The Bird-scholar will then release his corrupting fog once again, this time aimed at Nox.
-> Nox's CHA saving throw {DC 20}: 27 - the corruption does not take hold.
Finally, the ruckus from downstairs finally catches up to you guys. You are not certain why it took so long, but many footsteps can be hear coming from the staircase.
"Nooo-..."The outcry stops short, and Jury's hand falls limply to his side along with his head slumping to the side. The warforged staggers a step back... then another... but manages to keep its footing. The dim red light of its eyes shifting to a dull white as it swayed on the spot.
Inside Jury's Helmet:
"Nononono! Jury! Counsel! Guidance! Answer me, you worthless spirits!" The creature complains as it jostles at the little joysticks and cords to no avail. "Come on! Come on! Work, damn you! By the Lady's Orders, I command you to work!" He cries out, slamming its tiny fist into the surface of cords.
"Work..."
There's a moment of silence... and then....
After taking a slow look around it starts mutely gripping its head as if in pain or... confused. It's hard to say. Then, its attention turns to the bird screeching and crackling with energy above. It's cants its head and reaches out as if attempting to grab it.
Then a memory plays in the back of its mind. A fuzzy thing that seemed to have been... a really, really long time ago. But it hurt to think of it. Hurt to... It's voice box crackles noisily, but not a intelligible word comes out. Its eyes began to glow an angry red as the pain intensifies in its head. Fast fading memories playback of a tiny creature being hurt by the Big Glowy Bird before disappearing. Of being hurt by it... of its friends being hurt by it...
The noise is emitted again, only louder this time until it becomes an angry screeching that soon transforms into a bestial roar as its form is shifted into that of a great, grey furred ape with red eyes! The roar peters out for a second as it looks at itself, thinks for a moment, then following a growl and half-hearted glare in Dredge's direction, it points to the scholar.
At its beckoning, the animated objects go tearing off in direction of the scholar, aiming to kill it. Bailiff rushes about the room, maneuvering around but otherwise ignoring the Arclight phoenix to get into position of the bookshelves on the far right, rip the unit free, then toss it at the scholar.
Bonus Action: Bailiff gives all Animate Objects command to kill the scholar.
Action: Book Shelf Throw(Improvised Giant Ape's Rock Action) at Scholar after moving. (Rolls placed in bottom to avoid errors)
Free Action: Roar in defiance!
Movement:The Bailiff ends its turn on the 3x3 square encompassed by the diagonal {AI-63, AH-64, AG-65}..)
Animate Objects will Dash (60ft total) towards Scholar. Animated Door 1(bottom-originally at AM), Door 2(top-originally at AK), and Sword(mid-originally at AL) end in position AM-61, AK-61, AL-61 respectively. (@Lerus Adjust as need be accordingly. Doors probably can't move this turn in order to tear themselves free first.)
(@Lerus As far as saw, nothing in the spell suggested the objects couldn't take the action to move again, but I defer to your judgement.)
Athletics: 6. (if needed to try climbing the bookshelves)
Rock Attack: 14 For: 26 Non-magical Bludgeoning damage at scholar.
Dredge watches the quick bolt reach out and strike Jury. Dredge spins around to watch the intelligence drain from the wizard’s eyes. “You deserve everything that comes to you, summoner of death. But right now, we still need you!” Dredge lets out a bolt of his own, and Jury’s metal form begins to fade into flesh, bones, and fur. Jury swells, and a semblance of intellect returns to his eyes. Within seconds, a Giant Ape stands in Jury’s place. Dredge then turns back to the hunched caster. “Now, Nagpa, call off your monster and refrain from casting any more spells, and we will leave you in peace. Otherwise, prepare yourself, for when you back nature into a corner, it lashes out.”

Using some of the magic that is native to him he will quicken Blink on himself. He then uses the magic of his pact with the hexblade to then throw Eldritch Blast at the scholar:
Grixx rushes forward while Raging and attempts to grab the Birdman.

-> Birdman's acrobatics vs. Grixx's shove: 21
