Charles analyses the bald man and his proposal. He seems genuine in his need for your help and in his offer for information, although his ability to share it may be magically limited as evidenced by his transformation at the end of this brief discussion. Nonetheless, the man seems unnaturally knowledgeable.
To Charles: "Your sarcasm needs improvement, young halfling. You can reach the Labyrinth by going up the steps you'll see to your left after exiting my ward."
To Talon: "One sided? It would provide you with a way out of this place as well. Between the artifact and that cube you hold, we could certainly escape. You would uncover truth as well, but the choice is yours, of course. The staircase I mentioned just a moment ago alternatively leads down into the Tombs. If my proposal does not sound appealing to you, you may want to try your luck down there. Your choice."
To Le'gal: "You mean restoration in the sense of regaining your original form? Yes, that is possible. Not by means of this artifact, but by extracting such power from Lysanderoth himself. Not an easy path, I assure you."
Back to Talon:"The cube is part of these trials. It allows you to open windows into other planes, but with the right inputs those windows can become doors. We'll need specific keys, corresponding to each symbol. The funny halfling mentioned he lost one of these keys. Let us hope it was not the right one, and seek for others in the mean time. The artifact I mentioned should help." The man is then interrupted by Nox.
To Nox: "My kitchen..." He begins to go offline...

Before rest can fully claim her, Le'gal takes some time to examine the room. Her objective: runes, symbols, and the like. In hindsight she asked this, and perhaps she could if the being still retained conscious and some ability to answer further questioning. Yet, she carried on giving the room a proper once over seeking counter measures set in place similar to her Nondetection magic.
"Rest required. Noone stray until after... Please."Rather than look at Nox's new incarnation pointedly, she makes sure /everyone/ heard the request and looked at them each in turn. "Warrior Grixx?"She frowned, then just shook her head uncaring. "Establish watches." Her last request before finding her rest like Talon.

Le'gal finds no such arcane protections around Mumed's ward, and yet the man did not show any kind of worry regarding potential intruders when inviting you to use his abode for your own resting needs.
Not wanting to run the risk of being surprised, Talon sets up a perimeter in the shape of an Alarm spell, which Charles extends with his own casting of the same spell. Nox sets up a magically protective dome as well (reference).
Meanwhile Graxximus arranges a watch schedule. The first two hours worth of rest are uneventful, and the heavily armored warrior of Tempus has nothing to report. Shift change.
(Charles, Sigil, and Nox, please roll a perception check each for your respective watches along with your next posts.)
(OOC: You guys might want start planning on what to do next. Are you guys going up or down the steps? In other words, Labyrinth or Tombs? Accept or ignore Mumed's request?)
Before going to sleep Nox raise her hand in mid air and mumble some incantation. +5 stealth / perception to everybody during rest (druid: Hearth of Moonlight and Shadow)
Hearth of Moonlight and Shadow At 6th level, home can be wherever you are. During a short or long rest, you can invoke the shadowy power of the Gloaming Court to help guard your respite. At the start of the rest, you touch a point in space, and an invisible, 30-foot-radius sphere of magic appears, centered on that point. Total cover blocks the sphere. While within the sphere, you and your allies gain a +5 bonus to Dexterity (Stealth) and Wisdom (Perception) checks, and any light from open flames in the sphere (a campfire, torches, or the like) isn’t visible outside it. The sphere vanishes at the end of the rest or when you leave the sphere.
After Nox wakes him for the final shift, Sigil sits comfortably in the dark, happily alone to his thoughts. Thoughts of the future, of progress, and, of course, of revenge on the Empyrean.

Talon volunteers for one of the watches before drifting off to sleep. He is awakened on his turn and watches. The strange stoned man finally gets his attention. While they were all recovering and noticing each other this man's face didn't bother him but now alone while the others sleep Talon is completely creeped out. He shivers inside but is able to keep watch:

Graxximus wakes Charles up for the next shift and Talon joins in. The halfling is a bit too sleepy to pay attention, but the dwarf manages to spot a couple of tiny spiders tip-toeing around.
The third shift is taken by Nox. An hour into it she hears a screech coming form somewhere below. It sounds far.
The last shift is taken by Sigil. He is certain nothing has happened that is worth his or the groups' attention while he was on duty.
The rest ends without any of the Alarms being triggered. Nox's dreamy sphere fades away but she replaces it with warm pancakes. Mumed is still in his isolated state, despite the fact that over 8 hours have passed.
Once the group is ready to go (feel free to buff up) they follow the simple directions received from Mumed and go up the steps at the end of the hallway.
NOTE: I won't provide a map for this section unless we enter combat. Even then, it will be a zoomed in version of the immediate fighting area. This should help keep up a sense of difficult navigation throughout this area. My description of alternate paths will be simple in order to help those of you keeping track of it in your notes to make your decision.
At the end of the steps, you find two almost immediate turns to the left, followed by another to the right. These first few turns give you a sense of the general construction of this Labyrinth. The walls are made out of intricate masonry and you gather that the flush seems and joints between stones might be a bit tricky to climb. The floors are made of slick hewn stone, and while they are safe enough to walk on, dashing (or running in a similar fashion) may require you to keep your balance as not to slip up and fall. The corridors are badly lit (dim lightning), and the low 10-foot ceiling in these corridors feel too close to your head. The air is just cool enough for you to feel a slight nip.
Ahead of you a long hallway extends for about 80 feet. Halfway into it, the path branches to the right, but if you were to travel the full 80 feet, you would find a portcullis leading into a room, also to the right.
Le'gal is nothing if not prompt even when it came to awakening. Her quiet prayers are not for guidance this time, but was in thanks for Erathis ongoing faith in her acolyte: divided of mind and spirit thought "they" were. "Okay. Gather around. Gather. For strengthening. For Preparation. For... Journey." So long as she's given time, Le'gal goes through the following preparations:
Le'gal, Nox, and Sigil gain the benefit of Aid cast at 7th level(30 Maximum HP increase/gained). Graxximus, Charles, and Talon gain the benefit of Aid cast at 6th level(25 Maximum HP increased/gained). Le'gal, Nox, and Charles gain the benefit of Death Ward cast at base(4th) level.
"Done. I... Would Commune. With Erathis. Before we go. Properly." She looks to Nox as if seeking her aid to further explain her meaning. Whether her elder choses to do so or not, she waits for a consensus and possibly questions from the others they may wish 'guidance' on before commiting to the ritual.

"You know I could get used to that!" Talon says as again he is given a boost of health from Le'gal.
Once everyone is ready they make their way up a the stairs and begin to encounter a confusing set of twists and turns. Talon will follow behind Graxximus as they make their way left and then right. As they get to the intersection Talon thinks for a bit. "I suggest we continue to the end and into that room up ahead. I have not reason for this so if anyone wants to present an actual reason to go either way I'm listening."
((Sorry for my lack of posts, getting prepped for inventory has all of us all hands on deck.))
Charles will nod to Le'gal, "Thank you!"
He will take a small piece of cured leather out and mumble a few arcane words which cause the leather to enlarge in size as it phases onto his body then disappears. (Casted Mage Armor on himself. Raising his AC to 17)
Noticing how dark it is, he will touch the tip of Graxximus' sword with a Light spell.
Le'gal goes from grumbling mildly in complaint at Graxximus comment about stories to glaring half-heartedly at Talon. "Please don't." She states frankly, revealing a bit of where Jury original reluctance might've came from. Once the group was on their way into the Labyrinth, and "presented" their choices, the bugbear just "Hmms" in deep thought at first.
"Prefer the closest one. Avoid something sneaking up behind."She admits, and then looks to the rest. "But I defer." Looking to the ground, then over to Charles, with a click of the tongue the halfling is grabbed by the scruff of his top and placed on the woman's shoulder. "Preventive measure."

The party moves 40 feet into the hallway so that they are right at the intersection. While they deliberate whether to make a right or continue straight, Le'gal places Charles on her shoulder for protection ("No one expects a backpack wizard"). Assuming they do not want to go back the way they just came from, the group then has two options:
Keep walking straight up the hallway they are in for another 40 feet and then pass a portcullis to their right into a room.
Make an immediate right into another hallway, which goes for another 50 feet before it turns right once again and continues on.
Which path will you pick? (please refer to our OOC chat for a logistical suggestion.)
(@Ori: Would you like to RP that Commune spell you hinted at retroactively?)
"Hey- what are yo- oh!"He looks around at his sudden change of height. "Good idea, I move slower than all of you, I may fall behind."
He pauses, "I'd also like to make a note that while I was looking at my spellbook during my watch last night, I found a spell that allows me to summon a mansion out of nowhere. So on the chance we are forced to take a rest in this maze, I have a safe space for us to eat, drink and sleep."
(@Lerus: Who needs Ogre Howdah when you got Bugbear Palisade!)
(And yes, yes I would. Ain't like we're in /that/ much of a rush this time.)
Back in the past-ish:
Le'gal sat on her cot, legs folded, chest piece and other adventuring gear temporarily removed, and slowly began sinking in to herself. One by one by one, her awareness of the outside world dims until only the sensation of touch remained with any degree of clarity. Unthinkingly, she draws the only thing still on her person, secretly in hand, and clasps it close to her chest. "My Lady... once more."She says in common with eyes still closed, and then in what can be best described as multiple people speaking at once from a single body, began speaking in another tongue altogether.
Retroactive Questions:
Can we truly trust Mumed Sepret at previous word? Is the Labyrinth ensorcelled in someway as make physical means of finding way through possible? Are there any schools of magic that would be hindered by being in the Labyrinth?
Despite some possible discontent, Le'gal puts her foot down on making the immediate right into another hallway, which goes for another 50 feet before it turns right once again and continues on. But, if someone had some sort of familiar or the like they wished to have scout out the other path, she doesn't object to it. Merely insist again they move on in the meantime, but at a reduced pace if need be to receive a timely report.
