If you're going to go straight into combat mode, we'll restart at Balian using the existing order, since he had the highest original initiative. If you want to engage in dialogue, everyone can make a brief comment and take one non-hostile turn at a time in any order (with whoever this is taking one turn as well), for however many rounds you want to go. We just need to monitor Brix's death saves until someone does something to heal or stabilize him.
"The aboleth can cause disease in those it touches," Jarl says quickly to his compatriots. "The disease may well fell us before whatever it is over there." He points in the direction of the thing he can barely see moving. Speaking louder, for it to hear, he says "Show yourself, if we are to deal fairly."
Note: if Brix isn't stabilized, Jarl will still use his reaction to use Fungal Infestation.
Squiggles looks confused. "Jarl, what the hell are you talking about? Over where? We're done right? Creepy tentacle thing dead, evil device in my grubby little mitts, 3/4 dead goblin to haul back somehow....Am I missing something?"
"Whew! Well done all! And don't you worry, Squiggles, I will always remind you of that." Shale is overcome by nausea again and dry heaves a little. "That's no good." He pulls out his staff and hopefully restores the balance to his stomach. "Anyone else feeling queasy?"
The cleric bangs the heel of his hand to his head. "I thought we took care of... Oh, well that doesn't sound unreasonable. This is your place after all."
Shale turns to Squiggles, "I think we found the owner of that thing you found upstairs."
(Nope - there's a possibility though that Jarl has done this before and those in the party who've been traveling with him for some time have seen him do it before - he always has Animate Dead prepared at a Circle of Spores druid, and I'd like to think that he's used it in the past to keep the party from having to carry a downed party member until they can bring them back to life. Or possibly he's used this on people before and gotten yelled at because it's creepy.)
Flynt and Celric, as you leave the water, you find that you are no longer able to breathe. As you gasp for air and your survival instincts kick in, the water calls to you...
Back in the water you are able to breathe again, as long as your head is submerged. (for the purposes of combat, you can hold your breath out of water just as you would normally do in the water)
Having just dragged Brix out of the water, Balian is far too preoccupied to care about the new potential threat. He tries to restrain the convulsing Brix, and pours some of the contents of his waterskin on the goblin’s face.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Brix, lying face down in the water, begins to cough, water burbling out of his mouth and eventually clearing from his lungs. His eyelids slam open and he flies into a rage as the memory of the last couple of hours begins to return. He pushes past Balian and onto the stone.
"WHAT DID THAT THING DO TO ME?" he bellows. "AND WHERE IS IT NOW?"
He pulls out a pink bottle from his waterlogged bag, pulls off the cork with his teeth and chugs it, ready to fight (healing 6). Looking frantically around, his eyes settle on the floating tentacled corpse in the pool.
"Just when I thought this day couldn't get any worse, I DON'T EVEN GET TO KILL IT??" He stands there seething, unaware of the new presence.

(I'm just happy to get the kill - sorry I'm work and wrapping up spring sports previews before the birthday weekend).
Flynt is going to get out of the water as fast he can.
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.

Jarl raises his hand to Shale's question re: queasiness.

Flynt cries in agony. "This air is terrible" he says as he dunks his face in the water, sighing happily as he makes bubbles in the water.

Balian
Having just dragged Brix out of the water, Balian is far too preoccupied to care about the new potential threat. He tries to restrain the convulsing Brix, and pours some of the contents of his waterskin on the goblin’s face.
Medicine: 5
Brix only convulsed briefly as the aboleth seemed to draw some lifeforce from him.
Balian is unable to stabilize the unconscious Brix. (Dammit Jim, I'm a thief, not a doctor!)

Flynt will keep his face in the water and walk over to Celric. "Is there anything we can do?"

Brix isn't dead yet; he's just not stable yet.
