The two goblins next to Asher can't stop themselves from raising their weapons and cheering along with Asher; it seems Klarg really wasn't popular with these guys.
From outside the cave, Opo and the goblins' temporary leader Ika see Klarg fall, but they keep their focus on the one remaining enemy, Klarg's wolf Ripper. One after the other, they both run into the cave, loose an arrow, and retreat back out to safety.
Ika's attack: Attack: 9 Damage: 4
Opo's attack: Attack: 23 Damage: 6
Ika's shot goes wide, but Opo's hits, and the wolf falls. Ika and Opo rush into the cave to take a look at Klarg, and join in with the cheering.
The fight comes to an end. Vaz rushes over to Strix and is able to stabilise him: he is likely to wake in 4 hours, unless he receives healing.
We're no longer in combat. What would you like to do?
"back so soon? We really must stop meeting like this. It's bad for my health. You should have rushed the archer you know, or gotten behind a rock standing still is for fools - like your friend in the dressing gown."
"Fought brave. Fought well!
"They're not the same thing, oaf! If you fought well you wouldn't be here. Now off you go - Spend too long on this side of the fence, you might start asking which of us it's protecting from the other. She's bound to go by in a minute, that'll keep you busy till someone pops one of those deliciously addictive berries in your gob. Just don't go getting yourself killed so's you can have some more!"
Sure enough, he sees her running. Why is she running? He chases but can't seem to catch up. When he calls her name, all that comes out is a piercing "kyaaaa" that only seems to spur her on. She begins to fade into the dark.

Dario leans back against the wall and sighs in relief. His nostrils inhale the stale stench of death that hovers in the cavern and he wipes his face as sweat pours forth from all his pores. He looks over at Strix and then to Vas as he manages to stabilize the beast. "Will he be okay?" Dario asks.
Once he has finally calmed down after the battle Dario decided to look through the wooden boxes, barrels, and such that are strewn about the room.
Dario, most of the barrels and crates in the room are full of cloth, tools and other basic supplies of little interest to adventures, but probably valuable if sold in town. Many of the crates are have an image of a lion on a shield, carved into the wood or stamped somewhere. Sildar comments: I reckon these were taken from caravans headed to Phandalin. You might get a reward if you deliver them. The goods are bulky; you would need a wagon to transport them all.
You also find a small locked chest in the corner where Klarg was initially hiding.
Scupper barely dodges Klargs body as Asher kicked it back but gets a pretty good spray of bugbear blood from his headless neck. He wipes his rapier and slides it into his sash then throws his mop of bloody hair back and wipes his face. Oi! Quit yer cheering til we finds the dwarf.
Asher nods. "You're right. I got caught up in the strong fight. With no sign of Rockseeker here, we need to move and find this Black Spider." Asher takes a step and winces in pain. "That was a tough fight though, and I definitely need to take some time. I'm not sure if we have time for a short break or long break, but I need as much as I can get."
Aye, sorry lad. You did good removing that beasts head and showering me with gore like it was me birthday. It's just i can't buy ale or company with gobo ears or a bugbears head. Can someone what sees better in the darksies give this cave a once over? May as well make sure we're chasing our tail. We've got a cart and horses what need delivering...no sense in leaving them to starve... and I'm guessing Sildar knows where to drop them off even if we have to take an IOU.
Dario examines the small locked chest for any traps (Perception: 24) and if not trapped he will try to open the locked chest by grabbing a rock or using the hilt of his dagger and try to break or loosen the rock (Strength: 6).
Scupper, you take quite some time searching behind the crates and sacks, and in every nook and cranny of the place; there's absolutely no sign of Gundren. Watching you search, Sildar sighs: I had really hoped to find him here. At least we didn't find his body, so there's still hope. He doesn't sound too hopeful.
Dario, you can see that the chest was made in the last ten years, probably in Waterdeep, and probably for a middle-class family; it's a very human design, all ugly angles and large, heavy slabs of wood - not really suited to the taste of most elves. You pick up a stone and attempt to bash at the lock - you hit, but the lock remains unopened, and the stone slips and flies out of your hand, hitting the wall just next to Varinth's head before clattering to the floor.
Asher, your glaive chops into the wood, but it still takes a few blows to cut a decent-sized hole in the top of the chest. Eventually, you are able to pull out enough wood fragments to get a good look at the insides. You find lots of small coins: a total of 600 copper pieces, 110 silver pieces, two small bottles containing a red liquid, and a jade statuette of a frog with tiny golden orbs for eye.
Asher holds the jade statuette of a frog and quickly looks over it (no check wanted). He turns to Incantis, "Hey Praying Mantis. This looks odd, do you know anything about what it could be?"
Ika and the other goblins have been cutting bits of armour, hair and fingers off Klarg, probably as souvenirs. Vojj looks a little enviously at the head now decorating Asher's belt, but shrugs and goes back to detaching a big toe.
I would suggest dividing up loot as soon as you find it, and adding it to your inventories, rather than having to trawl back through the pages of the thread to find that thing you think you picked up. You could divide up loot via an out-of-character discussion on the PM thread, an in-character discussion here, or just agree that the person who finds the stuff also shares it out. It's up to you.
I think it's been Nunberry that has been the divider for our party so far? Whoever it was, I trust what they're doing, so however they want to divide it up they have my vote of confidence!
Dekhan sheaths his sword with the distinct feeling he would have done something critical with it if he had the chance. Well fought, friends! We’ve taken the day once again! Before we search for our benefactor, does anyone require healing?
A chance to rest will be most welcome; says Sildar. It will take some time for me to get back to my best, but I'd be glad to put this place behind me right now.

Varinth:
Mister Dekhan, could you help with our Birdman please?Thankyou. He hears Scuppers grumbling about the lack of light. Don't forget Mister Scupper, you have a glowing coin.
Varinth approaches one of the goblins, Excuse me, yes that's a lovely finger, is there any other rooms or secret places in this cave?
Should anyone offer him loot, Varinth will point out that he is shirtless, bagless and unless fashion has bounded forward, pocketless. Which reminds Vaz, food. Varinth will look around the room in search of perishables. In particular, onions.

Scupper suggests a short break to divide the loot and then heading back to the cart. Over the hour they count the coinage.
Alright by my maths, it looks like with 7 of us, we each get 85 copper and 15 silver with 5 copper and 5 silver going in the fund. I've no idea what's in the bottles and that statue we should sell and divvy when we get the chance. My guess is that the Black Spider would have it, were it worth taking and keeping. Still, I guess someone should check for magiks on these things to be sure. Sildar? You know where we're supposed to take Rockseeker's cart? Anyone see a map that woulda gone in Strix's quiver? Strix, here's your caltrops back, never had time to use them. Ika? I'm guessing you gobos have learned the error of your ways and will take up farming. Least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Thanks for the help and for the alliance. If you ever attack us again, I'll have your eyes for hors devours. Have yourself a lovely gobo life.
If there's no other clues to be had, I'd start leaving but if there's anything amongst all this loot that could direct us to the Black Spider, I'd hate to leave that stone unturned. Although it sounds like I was already turning more than a few stones. Investigation 9
