Syna charges towards the wolf, blade pointing towards the bloodthirsty beast. The wolf lunges teeth first towards Beetle once more. Synas blade slices through the air, catching the wolf mid air, the blade emerging covered in a mix of red stained black hair.
A high pitched yelp from the wolf as it falls to the cold floor. It lies dead, head lolled awkwardly behind it, bleeding out beside the raging bonfire.
Serak: With indignation, the bard says, "Half-Elf, thank you very much! My mother was human, while yours was an Undercellar whore and your father asked for his gold back!"
Klarg grabs his head as the magic of the insult sinks into his thick skull. He shakes his head strongly with both hands, glancing around the room at his slain underlings. Beside him, his trusted wolf Ripper lies dead and bleeding. The monstrous bugbear is distrought.
"RIPPPERRRRRR!"
The bugbear cries out in the deepest of agonies. Disengaging with his attackers, throwing fists at them as he turns to flee. He heads west, behind the stalagmite and into the darkest corner of the room. The floor slopes away steeply towards a dark crevice. Klarg stops suddenly at the edge of the steep abyss and steadies himself.

Sprinting towards the last remaining goblin, Sildar draws his scimitar wearily. He throws crates aside trying to get a clean shot at his prey. Lifting aside one last sack he gets a clear shot. Swings his steel downwards and tries to bring an end to this part of the groups battle.
Sildar attack roll: 20 Sildar damage roll: 3
The sword finally puts the goblin to rest. Sildar sighs loudly, "Ooh boy, I'm not as young as I used to be!", looks up through the stacked crates and sacks and spots Serak hiding there as well. Sildar throws a short wave at the bard.
Chasing after the bugbear, Zyltris charges across the chamber. He draws his morningstar and closes on the beast at the top of the steep crevice.
Zyltris attack roll: 5
The sloped floor throws the elf off balance, he stumbles in his charge, his swing misses. Klarg, holding back his emotions, is too distracted by the abyss below to notice the charging elf come at him. His chest heaves as he breathes deeply trying to calm himself and focus:

Beetle sees the bugbear run and chases after him also hoping to end this....
Attack: 21 (plus 4 extra from Bardic inspiration)
Damage: 5
It calculated the inspiration wrong it was susposed to roll another d4 not add 4, even without it its would be 17 to hit, 18 if you figure the inspiration would have been at least +1
Chasing Klarg across the chamber, Beetle hprepares his sword for a final blow. Through the flames of the raging bonfire, he sees a brief outline of Zyltris, stumbling awkwardly.
The longsword swings sharply, diagonally slicing across the bugbears back. A roar fills the chamber. The bugbears armour falls away, sliced clean through revealing a deep red gash carved diagonally from shoulder to hip. Klarg leans backwards in pain, and reaches for his back to stem the bleeding. Despite his injuries, his legs stay strong beneath him.
OOC: Beetle, not sure what you've actually rolled because the mouseover just says 3+2! Its a d6 you would roll so I'll let you have the hit. Bugbears armour class is 17 so you would pretty much have got it regardless! Let down completely by your damage roll though!!
Serak: Keeping the goblin alive to interrogate, Serak attempts to stop Sildar from slaying the beast, but acts too late, "Wait, don't.... Uh... Well, maybe we can get Klarg to talk."
Wiping a bit of goblin blood from his soft soled boots, the bard moves straight forward, takes cover behind the boulder and says, "You will never make that descent alive! I'll shoot you dead before you reach the bottom. Tell us what we want to know!"
OOC: yeah the mouseover isn't showing the right number now, before it showed 13+4(prof bonus)+4(inspiration), the last 4 should have been d6 but even if it was a 1 I would still roll an 18 to hit.
OOC: Just to clarify Serak. Your reaction attack is an opportunity attack if Klarg moves out of your reach, and youre trying to persuade/intimidate him into giving you information?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: From what I read, I can delay my action and set a trigger, using up my Reaction for the turn. The trigger would be Klarg attempting to attack or flee. Thought I could do it at range, but if it must be a melee attack, I'll move within 5ft if possible.
Intimidation: 5
Edit: My first botched roll... why now!? lol So Klarg thinks Serak is a joke, but he really is going to shoot him to death.
OOC: Thats fine Serak, just checking! Theres nothing in the rule that I can see against ranged attacks as reactions. About time you had a bad roll thought!
Across the chamber, Syna thrusts a hand in Klargs direction. The temperature drops rapidly and the air begins to freeze around the bugbear.
Klargs Constitution Saving Throw: 11 Synas Spell Save DC: 13
Klarg begins to make his descending climb down the shaft. As he reaches out for a handhold, he notices a severe cold spreading down his arm. His body becomes rigid, then completely frozen. Suddenly his body lurches forwards, tumbling down the crevice and into the darkness. A second later, a loud dull icy thud echoes upwards from the abyss.
OOC: So close, he nearly got away!
With Klarg and the other goblins all dead the Cragmaw Hideout is cleared. Award yourselves with 175xp for defeating Klarg and the goblin band who had been ambushing trade along the High Road.
Beetle and Zyltris this will put you up to level 2.
Beetle turns back towards the room uses one of the dead goblins to clean his sword and then starts searching around the room. Paying attention to the pile of stolen crates.
”Great job everyone!!!! We took some hits but got the job done. Lets search up everything then maybe get back to town, we can use some rest."
OOC: Also since I hit level 2 I put the level into warlock(Hexblade patron) so from now on my longsword will be my Hex warrior weapon so my to hit and damage modifiers will work off my cha bonus now. It shows that way on my character sheet.
OOC: Very enjoyable scene guys. Serak... my my, how you got away with that I don't know. I should probably give you an inspiration point for that!
Beetle approaches the pile of crates at the south side of the chamber. Gathered around seem to be sacks of grain and flour, bundle of rags and boxes full of tools and supplies. On a number of crates, an image is stenciled onto the side - a blue rampant lion on a shield. Amongst the supplies and stacked neatly on a large crate, sits a large unlocked treasure chest belonging to Klarg. Inside, 600 copper pieces, 110 silver pieces, two potions of healing and a small pocket sized jade statuette of a frog with tiny golden orbs for eyes.

Serak: As the adrenaline fades, Serak realizes the severity of his wounds for the first time. Pulling a broken arrow shaft from his side, Serak sits on a crate and inspects the large gash on his shoulder also. "I thank you friends for coming to my aid. Zyltris fought gallantly and Tyr surely was with us today thanks to Sir Juice! Syna, your magic is as strange to me as it is wonderful! It turned the tide for us in every battle!
Growing weary from his wounds, the bard finally says, " Might we rest a while before returning with Sildar. I fear I'm a bit winded, but I'll be fine to travel in an hour."
While the others search the room and discuss what to do next, the bard casts Detect Magic as a ritual and searches the room.
He then pulls out his flute and begins to play a soothing, calming melody while the party rests.
OOC: You can have advantage for the attack seeing as the wolf is busy attacking beetle
