The tunnel is not at all straight. The walls are rough, and the path looks drunken. After the bend to the left, though, Erric can keep an eye on the floating torch as it makes its way north. About 25 feet north, Erric is pretty sure the five-foot tunnel opens up into another larger space, but he can't make out anything from this distance.
"Let's just go," Thrakk says to the others (who are waiting outside the tunnel), looking like he wants to follow Erric.
"Well, let's not leave all the risk-taking to the halfling and guiding goblin, right?" Maldorn says while looking at Anafrey and Ebokk. He then enters the tunnel, using the torch's light to guide him and, if needed, also a hand on Thrakk's shoulder.
So, everyone's following Erric? Is it this order: Jack, Erric, Thrakk, Maldorn, Jambiya, Anafrey and Ebokk? How far back behind Jack are you staying, Erric?
Erric will stay about 45 feet back, watching the light move, but staying out of the torch's radius. Jack moves only 15 feet a round, and has to stay within 60 feet.
OK. As I said, the bend in the tunnel is about 25 feet from what appears to be another cave. If you're 45 feet behind Jack, he's well into the cave, but you can't see any details of the cave from 45 feet back. Do you continue that way? If so, does Jack continue, or does he stay and allow you to close the distance?
Jack would continue, Erric still staying behind and letting the torch stay well ahead of him. If that's okay! He does keep following, though, I don't want to hold this up any more...
OK, you reach the opening to another cave. Because you are staying 45 feet behind Jack, you really can't see anything. There are some large objects between you and Jack now. You can see the glowing outlines of the rocky objects, but everything else is blackness.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Erric steps forward another 15 feet and then casts minor illusion to create the image of a lifelike statue of a halfling man gripping something right where the torch is.
He's also looking all around, trying to figure out if something sneaky is hiding, and what the rocky things are.
"What are you waiting for?" Thrakk asks. "Follow your torch." He puts his back against the wall and physically encourages Maldorn to move forward and motions for Jambiya to guide Anafrey forward past the orc as well.
Erric, you're not positive, but it looks like the cave is littered with rocks of all sizes. With your only light source (right?) already several feet down what appears to be another tunnel on the other side of the cave, you can't see anything else.
OOC > It will come. Maybe he just needs to get shook up a little...
Jambiya moves forward in the tunnel, her hand firmly on Anafrey's arm, and sort of bumps into Maldorn and Thrakk. "Oh, sorry," she whispers. "What's going on up here? Why aren't we moving ahead? Erric, do you see something?" She lets go of Anafrey now that there's a little light from the distant torch, and illuminates one of her dancing lights out in the open area near Jack, but closer to us to light up the shadows the torch is throwing.

Jambiya will creep forward, too, guiding Anafrey through the darkest parts, but behind Erric, Thrakk, and Maldorn.

Sounds good to Maldorn too.

With his hand on Thrakk's shoulder, Maldorn urges the orc forward such that they are not too far from Erric.
Anafrey would follow closley behind, holding her hand on her flail.
"What are you waiting for?" Thrakk asks. "Follow your torch." He puts his back against the wall and physically encourages Maldorn to move forward and motions for Jambiya to guide Anafrey forward past the orc as well.

"You first, my orcish friend" Maldorn responds while grabing his shoulder a bit tighter.

Erric has Jack move the torch back, say, 20 feet. To try to ensure he can see everything around and ahead of him. No sounds?
(I'm on pins and needles wondering if Thrakk's going to enact his sudden but inevitable betrayal...)

"I'm waiting on our orcish friend here, Jambiya." Maldorn squints. "I think he has volunteered to go in first."
