Ebokk steps through the opening, immediately surprised to find the cave brightly lit. This is the cleanest tunnel the dwarf has ever imagined. The walls — stone by the look of them — are almost smooth, rising probably nine feet up and then curving in a graceful arch over to the other wall. From the outside, this looks like any other dimly lit, rough-hewn cave, but stepping through has revealed a magical change. This almost looks good enough to be dwarven made.
Maldorn steps through after, not really registering the change in view before turning to make sure Jambiya and Erric are following. He is surprised to find no opening at all! He reaches out a hand and places it against the cool stone where the opening had been. He is about to curse when Jambiya steps through the wall below his hand, almost knocking the old man down as she ducks by him, chuckling, and encouraging him to hurry up and get out of the way. (Maldorn was visible from the outside.)
Erric sends the magical force named Jack through the opening and follows, moving past the surprised Maldorn.
The 10 foot wide tunnel descends at a steady, but easy decline. Since the entire tunnel is brightly lit, the party can see that the tunnel continues 50 feet before meeting a room. There is some kind of statue or monument in the room.
There appears to be no opening in the wall the party stepped through. It is fairly smooth and the same temperature as the rest of the walls and floor (cool to the touch). There is no sound except those made by the party, no smells, and only the barest of echoes.
(Assuming the room is as well lit as the hallway...)
Jambiya snuffs out her lights, and looks to see if Snap came through. Either way, she will approach the threshold to the room carefully, looking into the room before stepping in.

Erric follows closely behind, with Jack keeping pace. "I just remembered a very exciting story told by two bearded bards who used to frequent a tavern I'd played a few times about an intrepid explorer named Illuskan Smith, who loved old ruins, tried to steal things, and would look for traps and usually set them off. The first three ballads about him were excellent! The last one they came up with later was a huge disappointment. Anyhow, what I'm saying really is should we look for traps like Illuskan Smith? He had a really neat hat. I wish I had a hat."

OOC: Illuskan Smith... LOL.
Maldorn is dumbfounded by the door's magic. He was warned about it but it is still fairly beyond his comprehension. How is this possible? It is not an illusion, is it? It wouldn't hide the bright light from inside... Despite not being well-versed in these matters, he racks his brain to try to make sense of it.

Ebokk stands still a moment admiring the room. Not at all the cavelike entrance he was expecting.
This is some real craftmanship
He will touch the stone wall and rub his hand over it as he tries to determine the stones origin. Trying to gues if the stone is natural to the cave they just entered or if its real stone at all.
After seeing Jambiya walk forward he snaps himself out of it and follows with care. Still a bit unsure what they just walked into.

Jambiya holds an arm out to stop Erric from walking in to the room. "If this is as the legend tells it, a treasure vault designed to test adventurers, this first room is likely some sort of introduction, but you're right, Erric, it might be trapped. We should send Jack in first."

Erric looks at Jambiiya, grins, and bows with a flourish, grandiloquently indicating to the invisible assistant that he should enter first. He'd oddly silent.
Yes, so far, everything is brightly lit. I will let you know if that changes.
Jambiya, you do not see Snap.
Maldorn, you have had very little experience with magic up until these recent adventures, and since you've not encountered anything like this except for Erric's illusory abilities, you can't really work out how this works.
Ebokk, as far as you can tell, the stone inside the tunnel looks very similar to the rock of the mountains, and you do not find any seams, so you suspect that this tunnel is actually carved out of the the same or very similar stone. There are a few cracks, which look natural. Other than that, you can't really learn anything further.
After Jambiya keeps Erric from entering the room, he sends Jack in to "stomp around" while he inspects the opening. Erric senses that Jack is moving around the room, and nothing appears to happen. Neither does the bard spot anything that looks like a trap.
You can see that the object in the center of the room (which is a 30x30x30 square) is a giant hourglass. The top of the glass appears full, while the bottom appears empty.
“Well,” she says, looking back at the others and shrugging sheepishly. She will look at the rest of the room for exits or interesting features. Does the hourglass have any other properties about it that are interesting?

Erric also darts in once Jambiya moves in. He watches the sand. “Hey everyone, do you think this will finish flowing quickly, or will it take a long time?”He tries to judge how much sand is to fall, how quickly it is flowing, etc. More offering help to others than trying to do it himself. He also looks around the room with Jambiya to help her find anything they are missing, anything hidden. And of course, any doorways or portals or windows.
Whoever would like to try to determine how much sand is in the timer may make an intelligence check with advantage since Erric is helping.
Jambiya can see another 10-foot-wide tunnel leaving the room on the opposite side of the room. Forty feet away is another room with another monument or statue in the center.
There are no other doorways or portals or windows.
Ebokk moves forward to the hourglass and replies to Maldorn It must be this trail, each one should be seperate from what ive been told.
Since the tunnel on the opposite side is 10ft wide im assuming Ebokk would see it too.
Perhaps that thing over there is linked. He says as he points towards the monument/statue in the other room. Ebokk will start to run towards it and will only slow down once he is almost out of the tunnel to look around in the other room.
As Ebokk races off, Jambiya glances back at the others and shrugs, and takes off after him down the hallway. She also stops just before entering the second room, to look around.

Between the two of them, Maldorn and Erric are able to feel fairly certain the sand will run out in about two hours.
As Ebokk nears the next room, he makes out that the object in they spotted is a statue of two individuals — humans, he supposes. Though the statues are lifelike, they stand atop a stone plinth and so stand tall in the center of the room. He can also see a plaque on the front of the plinth, but he'd have to get closer to read it.

"....COLD SHOULDER!" the halfing blurts out just as the doorway appears.
Erric sends Jack in ahead of them, with the lights, and jumps through as well, last, hoping the Bigs get through safely.
