Thrakk scowls at Erric, then relaxes. "It must have moved in after my tribe was slaughtered. It was here when I climbed up from the Underdark. I'm not sure why. I suppose it needed a home, and with the cave empty, it made a good one."
Maldorn, as you begin to follow Jambiya, you notice that the strange hat the ogre is wearing isn't actually a hat; it's a backpack, strapped to its head like a leather helmet. You bend down to look more closely, but then the cave begins to go dark rapidly as Jambiya enters the tunnel. (Or did Jambiya leave the one orb in the room and just send the two new ones?)
Jambiya, as you enter the tunnel, tiptoeing around Maldorn's trap, you see a long, narrow tunnel. In fact, you figure it must have been a tight fit for the ogre. After about 25 feet, the tunnel turns north.
It takes a little doing, as the pool of blood as spread to surround the ogre's head and, by association, the backpack, but Erric gets the makeshift helmet off and sets it gingerly on the ground to open it up. Inside, he finds 13 gp, 8 sp, 56 cp, two chunks of blue quartz, and a pair of boots, which feel special when he picks them up.

OOC > There are four lights max for Dancing Lights, and they can appear as much as 120’ from her, but each one has to be within 20’ of another light. So at most she can string them out in an 80’ line. She’ll do that, leaving one by the ogre and running them along until she reaches 120’ and then they will drift along as she moves, keeping pace. She’s lighting the tunnel for the others, but she doesn’t need the light herself. Does that make sense?
Jambiya goes quietly down the hall, the first of her lights hanging back behind her so as not to mess up her darkvision. At the turn she looks back to see if anyone is following, then goes around the corner.

As Maldorn approaches, Jambiya turns. "Looks like the ogre used this room for everything... and I mean everything. Do you think it is worth digging through all this garbage?"

Erric arrives, nearly retches, and covers his nose.
“The great thing about Jack is that he has no sense of smell and can’t get dirty.”
He has Jack rifle through the rugs and garbage for a few minutes, bringing anything that doesn’t look like garbage - paper, metal, wood, gems, etc. even if dirty. He watches the process from the entrance.
Jambiya walks very quickly back out to the main "throne" room. She stands near the edge of the pit, looking down, but she keeps her lights away from the edge.

"Now we climb down," Thrakk responds. He is already standing by the hole, waiting.
Jambiya, as you look down, even with your darkvision, you don't see a bottom.
Erric, Thrakk appeared pleased at the death of the ogre and looks ready to proceed. In fact, he might seem a little more pleased and a little less ... impatient, maybe?

Erric lights a torch again as Jambiya leaves, and he starts to root through the backpack. "Can someone help me get this off?"

“I was just about to do that, Erric.” Maldorn says a bit surprised the halfling took the backpack away while Maldorn was still looking at it.
“Well, what did you find?” He asks as he takes advantage of the new torch’s light to undo and collect the unused hunting trap.
After that, he follows Jambiya into the illuminated tunnel.
Jambiya, you turn the corner, and the tunnel widens before you, forming a long narrow cave strewn with old soiled rugs and patches of garbage.
“Phoo!” Jambiya holds her nose. She looks around the place from her position at the door for anything that looks worth investigating more fully.

Erric, roll investigation, please.

Nada. Unfortunately, despite enduring the close proximity to everything in the cave, you discover nothing you'd want to keep.
"Looks like the ogre kept its most valuable belongings in that makeshift helmet of his, either knowingly or not. So, shall we climb down the hole?"
Erric has been trying to keep an eye on Thrakk to see how he’s been reacting to things.
“So now the ogre is not a threat, what now? Forgive me, friend Thrakk, I have a terrible memory.”
He’s fishing for details and trying to see if the orc tries to change the deal or shift the story.
