"I'm here now, let's just get through the door," Valentia says, now only 10 ft. away from it. She moves outside and when the entire party has left as well, she'll use her action to close to the door to the mine.
Lia is easily able to avoid sudden hot foot while Nephina and Gark are able to jump over the flame.
However, Valentia did not have same agility everyone else had (2 fire damage).
While lightly singed, she was able to swing around and shut the door.
As soon as she does the magenta light bleeds through the door a little bit, but suddenly dies away as does the strange feeling in the air. A confused squawk is heard, followed soon after by an impotent thump against the door. The fire dies soon after.
A moment of silence follows. Then, a small sound is heard behind the door.
Valentia taps her lightly charred armor from the magical fire she had to pass through, and then, with the door now closed, she turns to the party. "It seems our job is done here. Time to report what we found to Ragkohm now." Her voice was still serene and calm, with just some heavy breathing thanks to having to run all this path in medium armor.
"Seemed like someone getting us into trouble we did not need to be in." Lia says with a glare to Valentia. "We could have been out of there, no problem, but for you..." She sighs though. "We also would not have learned as much as we did, but, please, let's try to be more careful than daring..." She nods to the others. "Let's go and report back in to the dwarf. I am not sure what exactly we are up against, since it does not appear that those were actually kobolds of any sort I know of, but magic is clearly involved."
While the group is talking about what just happened and what to do next, as if right on cue,"What the hell is happenin' up here?!"
Ragkohm is seen running toward the group, some degree past winded. As soon as he reaches the party, he puts his hands on his knees, breathing heavily.
After catching his breath, somewhat, he starts to talk, "I'm in me office, doin' paperwork - mostly - an' all of a sudden out the corner of my eye, out the window, I see an orange glow inside the mine. I get curious, an' as soon as I step out to wonder, a fire outside the mine! That's tellin' me one o' two things, you lot found something, or ye fecked up somethin' fierce! No guesses on which I prefer!"
Lia steps forward and gives the dwarf a nod. "We found something, that is for sure." She confirms. She gives a detailed description of everything from entering the mine, until they fled with the large kobold after them. "They said they were doing this for something called One-Become-Two. Does that mean anything to you?"
She makes sure to describe the change that happened to the first kobolds before the large one came after them.
"Gotta say, a lot of that sounds outlandish," Ragkohm reacts to Lia's recounting, "But I can certainly believe that kobolds could be back in this range. They were lousy with 'em till a few centuries ago."
"Not entirely sure 'bout that One-an'-Two bloke or whatever its name is. Not an epiphet of deity I ever heard."
"But what I DO know is you may have caught 'em in the act doin' something in branch 3. Gotta thank ya, its one of the better ones! I'll give it a look in the mornin' to see what they did. Probably messed with the props and beams. For now, just gotta do my due diligence." He takes the padlock out of his pocket and goes to the door.
But as his hands reach the door he stops, "Huh... Do ya hear something?"

We didn't see anyone when we were inside, though, so it could be that wizard kobold playing tricks on us..."She says, still not truly trusting that they could open the door just yet. Instead, she tries to discern whether it's an illusion or someone actually crying on the other side.
