Reggie takes a nice chunk out of griffon 10. Benagol takes aim and will fire at griffon 10 on their movement.
Griffon 10 moves 80 feet closer to the boat. They are still 80 ft in the air, but Benagol is able to take a shot and it hits! (instead of rolling disadvantage I added 2 AC to the griffon since they were out of range for Benagol). There is a cultist on the back of this griffon that has a crossbow, they will take a shot at one of the sailors manning the ballista.
Smoking Mirror Hide: Attack: 21 Damage: 5
The bolt hits the sailor and knocks them dead. 2 Sailors and Ardeth remain on the ballista.

Reggie, you get a closer look at what the Griffons are carrying. It seems to be a keg with XXX scrawled on the outside, and the griffon holds one in each claw. There is a cultist with a crossbow on this griffon, and they have a good shot on your Reggie. They are 80 feet in the air, while you are 60 ft in the air in the crow's nest.

Rubin you are up! Griffon 9 is 70 ft in the air above you and to the right. The other two griffons are still a bit of ways away, likely out of range of your hand crossbows.

Griffon 8 and 12 continue the v formation while Griffon 3 moves to the starboard side of the boat (still 80 ft in the air). This griffon does not have a cultist with a crossbow, but seems to be eyeing the deck looking for a target.
Ardeth hand begins to emit radiant energy as he casts a guiding bolt at Griffon 10.
Attack: 10 Damage: 11
The griffon reels as the blast of radiant energy hits their chest. This griffon is looking severally wounded.

The boat continue to move forward at normal pace.
The ballista fires at Griffon 10 who barely has enough strength to fly. Attack: 8 Damage: 18
The crossbow on the starboard side has a shot at Griffon 9, they've loaded a grappling bolt and fires! Attack: 18 Damage: 9
The ballista bolt flies by griffon 10, but griffon 9 is hit with a grappling bolt. Athletics check: 7. The griffon is held in place for the moment! They cannot fly anymore.
16 hits, good damage with the sneak attack as well! You shoot this griffon out of the sky with your crossbow. The cultist and the dead griffon fall into the water. The boat is moving full speed, so they are unable to swim to the side of the boat and grab on. Great move!
