Rolling a nat 20 in initiative, Kethra leaps forward out of instinct and runs forward ahead of the group, just like the very first fight with the ogrillion. But remembering her allies' friendly advice to be more cautious, she bites her lip and skids to a stop 5 feet directly in front of the half-orc, using the sudden stop to take out the ogrillion's greataxe with a flash, taking the Dodge action.
"Put away your weapon!"
At this point, Kethra finished spinning the axe from hand, around her shoulder, then ending on her other hand, the action knocking off her hood and her white hair tossed dramatically sideways. She points the greataxe at the half-orc in a fighting stance, her fierce eyes shifting from pale blue to red (bonus action Rage).
"Put away your weapon. As long as you have it out, we will have to hurt you." Kethra's voice suddenly dropped to a a cold, matter-of-fact tone.
Jairus Readies an action to fire on the Half Orc if he closes to melee with Kethra. “Best listen to the lady. I gotta shot lined up right here gonna go somewhere you don’t want a crossbow bolt.”
A dull glow begins to fill Davian's left hand. As he raises it higher the flow brightens. "Seems we have you dead to rights my orcish friend. Perhaps another course of action would be better suited"The glow now a full fledged spinning ball of fire.

If there is enough light in the room without his ball of fire, Davian will dismiss it. If not he will continue to let it flicker.
"I get the feeling that the orc wasn't a part of the woe bringers. The others fought us on sight. No conversation. No warnings. And it seemed...nervous about what may come through that door. Peculiar."
The boy eagerly guzzles some water, then coughs weakly. He looks to be around ten or eleven, although small for his age.
"I . . .I disobeyed the Believers. My da wanted me to deliver some piece o' paper to Mr. Waelvur, but I forgot about it. They got real angry with me, and shut me here."
He then takes a closer look at you.
"Oh, yer strangers, aren't ye? Mr. Waelvur's runs one o' the wagonworks round here," here his voice drops conspiratorially, "but most don't find his wagons better 'n shit, me da says. Mr. Waelvur's not a very nice man, he's always cross an funny smellin'."

Being raised by an eccentric mentally ill hermit who was probably a cultist herself, this does not seem all that odd to Jairus as a method of punishment for a child. “So you messed up and they sent you to spend some time down here as punishment? Sounds about right. I thought they were gonna sacrifice you ‘er somethin’.”
"Perhaps. Or perhaps he was simply a coward. An initiate. We should maintain vigilance."
Sparing only a sideways glance at the kid, Symon moves towards the door that the half-orc fled through and readies his blades. He doesn't open them, but he braces for another sudden intrusion.

“Any ide’er what was on that paper you was s’posed to deliver, kid?” Jairus asks. “You read? Lotta kids where I come from didn’t. Ma made sure I learnt my letters, though.”
"Well can't say the punishment was all that bad, I had much worse when the drow had me as their prisoner, but those were drow and this was your own father, so..." Rubin shakes his head as he stands back up. "Do you need us to help you out of here, or can you make it on your own? I would guess you know your way around here far better than we do... Any idea what we will find as we move onward?"

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kethra briefly looks at the boy with concern, but looks at the western side of the room. The viewing slit means the room was ready to repel invaders at that side, and the party was lucky to avoid it.
The door opens easily (I believe it was already ascertained there were no traps).
This big, square chamber has been hewn out of the rock. In the center of the chamber’s west wall is a stone door that has a narrow viewing slit. Beside the door is a set of iron bars bolted into the wall about three feet above the floor. Ten oiled chains are secured to the bars, leading up to a hole bored in the ceiling. Another solid stone door is in the middle of the east wall.
Before rage can run out, Kethra runs from the middle of the room to the chains, jams a javelin through one of the chain links*, and uses it to carefully unhook it from its iron anchor. Sloooowly raising and returning it to see if it affects anything, the red-eyed girl then tries to do the same to the other oiled chains.
Athletics roll with rage advantage applied, but tell me if I need to roll more: 10
*assuming this is a heavy duty chain meant that would be pretty thick to clasp onto each other to stick a javelin through, and not the small bicycle chain of some kind...if it is a smaller chain, Kethra will instead thread the rope from before and tie Jairus' special hitch around her own wrist to keep a firm grip on the chain instead

Jairus looks for any traps on the door Kethra is working on before she goes to work on it, as well as any other possible means to access it other than brute force, such as a concealed lock on the chains, etc.
If he finds traps he warns her, if he finds another less noisy means to access it he notifies her. If neither are present, he will offer to Help her to provide advantage is subsequent Athletics checks are needed to destroy the chains.
Rubin frowns as the group takes to working on the chains. "Why are you doing that?" He asks. "You don't even know what those things are meant to do... Maybe they are what allows us to leave here, and, by removing them, you are cutting off all of the exits." He shakes his head. "Not likely I know, but does anyone have any idea what they actually are there for?"

“Not a clue, Rubin,” Jairus says. “Kethra was takin’ em down, so I figured I’d trust her instinct and lend a hand. If we messed somethin’ up I guess we’re about to find out.”
"Well, at least these Delvers don't sacrifice their own children," Symon muses, more to himself than anyone. Sighing and standing upright from his battle-ready position near the west wall, he takes a closer look at the stone. Specifically at the inscription on it. If it's a language other than common that he can read, he will read it aloud

Rubinf igures the others can handle the half-orc and continues removing stones.
Grund looks at the ball of fire, terrified, then runs out the door screaming.
Rubin manages to get the boulders off of the boy in the meantime, who wakes up once more.
"Please," he gasps. "Food . . .water . . ."

Rubin pulls out his water skin and gives some to the boy. "Why were you like that?" He asks the boy.
"You don't have to be afraid," Jairus adds to the child. "We may look all scary in these getups, but we're the good guys, I s'pose."

"No sir. Reading other people's papers is rude."
To Rubin:
"I can make it back up, yes. No clue what else is back here, I'm really not supposed to be down here normally."

"Mr. Tyde, help. Keep a watch and tell me what this does."

As Kethra lifts the chain up, you all hear a rumbling sound from beyond the western door, and then a great clanging of metal. Then silence.
The way the chain is now, it looks like you could pull it and then secure it again.
