With as much going on as-is and injuries sustained, Doozey can hardly seem to process it all. So, he stopped trying, and relied more heavily on basic instinct to guide his hand and action. Even his own words seem increasingly more out of place as inhibition gives way to split. "Sure, sure. I hope you are too. To die, that is to say. Because whether it gets to us or not, you won't be see'n another sunset. Or these men!" He proclaimed, marking another both spiritual and magically in mind for death, before the blade comes in twice.
Though, if all the groundlings are dead by then, he fixes his attention on Ixas(or an archer, as case may be) for a second, marking her instead, and with a sharp whistle to Taters either which way, the two reposition themselves elsewhere on the battlefield in anticipation of striking out another way in the ensuing seconds, after making some liberal use of the chaos to slip away briefly unnoticed and unharmed.
Bonus Action(Doozey): Move (1st level)Hunter's Mark on (New)Cultist DB-11.
Action: Bloody Stinger Barrage on Cultist(DB-11). (Lethal)Apostle - Attack: 11 Damage: 14 magical piercing and lightning. (Lethal)Apostle - Attack: 18 Damage: 15 magical piercing and lightning. (Or if DB-11 is dead, targeting Hob(DC-10). If Hob(DC-10) is also dead, targeting Hob(DB-10), IF also dead, targeting Garbul instead, ignoring the 2nd d6 from Hunter's Mark.).
Movement: To DC-15.
(@Lerus: If all 3 are dead (somehow) by the time Doozey's turn come up, his action instead will be to move Disengage. His movement will still be to get to DC-15, and his bonus action would be to move the Hunter's Mark to Ixas(if visible) or Hob Archer, if not.)
Neya will move into attack the subordinate hobgoblins (starting with DB-10 and moving on to the other one if the first one dies and and moving onto Garbul if both go down).
Fearing the worst, Graxx tries to take as many soldiers down with him as he can. He turns on the closest hobgoblin subordinate he sees and thrusts his vicious pike, but these soldiers also seem to be well trained. The hobgoblin raises his shield just in time to avoid being killed by Graxx.
Both the attacks and the blocks happen just above Doozey's head.
Neya joins Graxx's fight by approaching the same soldier and quickly snapping his neck. (Hobgoblin Archer #8 takes 9 magical bludgeoning damage and is DEFEATED.)
The monk has to step deftly around this fresh corpse to then be able to reach the next soldier. She punches his facial bones in. (Hobgoblin Archer #7 takes 11 magical bludgeoning damage and is DEFEATED.)
Calculating she might not have enough time to reach Garbul before his next attack, Neya instead slaps the next nearest target. The cultist is still standing, but that was a really hard slap. (Cultist #9 takes 6 magical bludgeoning damage.)
(@Drache: Bodies count as difficult terrain so Neya ran out of movement by the time she reached {DC-10}. Because of that, I redirected your third attack.)
Doozey contributes to the thinning of the opponents' number advantage by stabbing the same foe and finally bringing the last cultist down, even though it takes marking him and then poking him twice. (Cultist #9 takes 15 magical piercing and lightning damage and is DEFEATED.)
CRAP notices that Garbul seems irritated by no longer being flanked by any allies. Doozey then orders Taters to approach Yalek while he himself finds a new vantage point. It is a risky move, and Garbul notices it:
Not understanding if Taters' appraoch is part of some plan, Yalek says: "Nice job bringing the ogre down, Utar. I'm going after the archers next. Anyone cares to join?" With that, the half-orc spy dashes into the tower through the only ground level door {CZ-12}
Yalek wields his scimitar once again and disappears into the tower. He moves quite quickly (Cunning Action: Double-dash.)
Utar nods at Yalek but does not immediately accept his invitation to climb up the tower. Instead, this half-orc approaches Graxx, as does his spiritual weapon, and attacks Garbul for the first time. He prays for Torm to guide his introductory strike and is rewarded with a swing to the hobgoblin's kidney, an angle that even the warlord cannot parry. (Garbul takes 9 magical bludgeoning damage.)
Still no reinforcements from the south passage. The barricade is working!
A portal opens on top of a hill nearest to the west section of the stronghold, where Senitir and others are presumably fighting Alandra, the other Cult of the Dragon lieutenant. From this portal, a slender man, twice the height of any mortal emerges. His torso is bare, and thorny spikes protrude from his shoulders and arms. Only a loose wrap of moss covers his lower half, which ends in shadow. His dark and sinister face is devilishly attractive, framed by a mane of green leaves from which curl two large and bestial horns like those of an ancient ram. Behind him, a large treant jumps out of the portal and into the battlefield below. A beautiful and mystical green-skinned lady sits atop the moving oak tree, giving it orders.
CLAUGIYLIAMATAR MOVES! The dragon leaves the battle at the northeast gate and flies to meet the horned-fey in combat over at the west portion of the stronghold. The clash is of monumental proportions.
Fearing that the tide of the battle below is shifting, Ixas seems to change her strategy. She casts an unknown spell on herself and recalls her Wall of Water.
She buys a few more seconds by then calling another instance of Frostbite on Utar:
-> Utar's CON saving throw {DC 15}: 9 Damage: 11
-> Utar's concentration check {DC 10}: 23
This time, the cleric is not able to resist the cold. The hand that wields Lightbringer stiffens momentarily. (Utar takes 11 cold damage and has disadvantage on his next attack.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"What annoying bastards!" Villonah yells out. "I'll get them" She sheathes her sword, which stops flaming, and reaches into a pouch. In one quick movement, she throws several previously plucked rose petals in the tower's direction and says a few words in Gnomish.
Ilim creates a pool of spectral acid right below one of Garbul's feet. (Damage: 12.) Once again, the hobgoblin fails to see the attack in time. His reaction time must be slowing down. (Garbul takes 12 radiant damage.)
Nonetheless, the warlord seems intent on finishing his fight with Graxx:
Graxx is now full of cuts. There is more red on his body than any other color. Somehow, the barbarian still stands. (Graxx takes 16 slashing damage, already halved.)
(Everyone goes next: Graxx, Neya, Doozey, Yalek, and Utar.)
Doozey faltered in step in his retreat, and in that moment lost again the focus to hold on to the spell in mind. His bell thus rung, when it came to the fantastical yet distant sight of archfey and dragon doing epic battle, the stoutling could hardly believe his eyes. And in fact, even mumbles "I need to stop drinking", before then shaking his head and looking up towards Ixas.
"Listen here ya ugly... ugly two-faced devil blooded punk arse high and mighty coward up there! Get your arse down here for a proper spanking. Before I come up there and make ya." He said, accidentally biting his tongue on the last word. A curt, halfling curse under his breath is soon followed by him spat a wad of blood on the sling, enchanting in an odd way with cursed blood.
After a few awkward attempts, he's soon slinging bullet after bullet up after Ixas, hopefully breaking her concentration of whatever enchantments may have yet just been put into play. Then, still a little daze, as evident in the first bullet hitting maybe a window just below Ixas, the stoutling falteringly makes his way around the tower to open the door(dropping Apostle at CZ-12 in the process), and sit in the entryway long enough for Taters to finally zip on through and after Yalek.
Bonus Action: Activate Crimson Rite on Sling, taking 3 damage.
Action: Bloody Slinger Barrage on Ixas. (Lethal)Sling - Attack: 22 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. non-magical bludgeoning and lightning. (Lethal)Sling - Attack: 29 Damage: 20 non-magical bludgeoning and lightning. (1st one to hit will apply Favored Foe feature.)
(Forgot Slings were d4s. Used to using Mage Stone in concert with slings. Replace the 5 with (1) instead. New Total: 9)
Movement: To CZ-12, and hold open door w/ body(if possible).
Future Reaction: Blood Curse of the Fallen Puppet on Graxx, directing him to attack Garbul. (if able to see Graxx)
Reaction: Utar's amulet flashes for a moment as Torm elects to intervene and redirect Graxx's second thrust with his pike. (Channel divinity to add 10 to the attack roll.)
Action: Seeing Graxx continue to take punishing hit after punishing hit, Utar grips his amulet with his shield hand and lays the other hand on Graxx's shoulder, shaking of some of the icy rime "Stay on your feet, the fight is far from over."
His amulet glows as do Graxx's wounds which appear to close on their own. Casting cure wounds at third level for 14 healing for the barbarian.
Bonus: Utar's spectral warhammer continues to swing at Garbul.
Attack: 14 Damage: 9
Assuming disadvantage does not apply to this attack as it isn't Utar attacking directly, but if it does... 14
Neya will move to step into the tower, using the shadows inside of the tower to teleport up some stairs as soon as she steps inside and using her remaining movement to try and get up to the top of the tower, dashing, if necessary.
(That'll bring her up to, what somewhere on the second floor?)
Graxx refuses to go down. With his next attack, he finally overcomes Garbul's defenses and pierces the hobgoblin's clavicle. A burst of radiant energy adds insult to injury. Suddenly, Garbul is not looking so sure about himself anymore. (Garbul takes 42 magical piercing and radiant damage.)
Encourage by the destructive blow, Graxx quickly produces a follow-up thrust of his pike. He asks Tempus for assistance but it is Torm who responds via a blessing from Utar(War God's Blessing reaction.) The pike once more avoids all armor and shielding, finding the hobgoblin's neck. Garbul begins to bleed profusely, but somehow still stands. (Garbul takes 13 magical piercing damage.)
Graxx is not about to stop. He attacks again but, this time, the warlord's armor does its job and deflects the blow.
(@Drache: With 90 feet of movement after teleporting, you can get to the top of the tower this turn. As I am not sure you'd want to arrive there without having any actions, I'll say Neya waits to make her final move onto the top of the tower.)
Neya uses the shadows on the west side of the tower as a teleporting device and hops onto the nearby rope bridge. From there, she steps into the tower and rushes to the top, overtaking Yalek on the way. The monk is now just on the other side of the trap door that leads onto the roof of the tower, where she knows two hobgoblins and a bell sit.
