ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
The priestess with the sword unleashes yet more magic, the area around the group buzzing with magical protections.
The flying wizard near Simaal gives the man a venomous look and then flies down from the rooftop, landing on the street. He weaves a bit of magic and then vanishes. Xemnez, with his piercing vision, can see the invisible mage working on his next move.....
More of the attackers come stumbling out of the smokey building from both the front and back entrance....several of them clearly still blind.
If Thyrius moves back in the circle and they're ready to go, Simaal will move back down to the group, ensuring he passes within 25 feet of the plated angry man to get a good look at him and throwing a javelin in his direction. Attack: 15 Damage: 3
If Thyrius does not, then Simaal moves further into the inn, planning his escape.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thyrius has has seen a trick or two in his life, and some of them he was only able to see thanks to his enchanted eyesight. Suspecting the newly-invisible mage is readying himself to annul the party's escape plan, Thyrius hopes to push him just outside of the comfortable range of his would-be spell. Taking advantage of his own unseen position, at least for the first strike, the black cat launches four eldritch blasts into invisi-boy's chest. Even if he is not pushed back, mayhap he'll become visible again and give a chance for his allied mages to turn the guy's trick on himself.
-> Action: Eldritch Blast with each hit pushing the would-be counterspeller 10ft back. First roll with advantage due to being hidden. -> Attack#1: 18 Damage: 15 -> Attack#2: 13 Damage: 11 -> Attack#3: 24 Damage: 9 -> Attack#4: 20 Damage: 9
After attacking, Thyrius moves to his cluster of friends.
Thyrius takes a quick glances at the nearby Lich but decides to focus on the human wizard, and begins unleashing blasts of magic at him. The mage manages to react quickly enough to Thyrius' attack that he throws up a magical shield, deflecting the first blow. The second though hits him and throws the wizard stumbling back...the next blast missing, but the third striking him again sending him stumbling back another 10 feet.
Meanwhile, Simaal vanishes through a hole in the roof of the Inn...and...in a blur, comes streaking across the open street, nimbly avoiding the invisible staggering mage amidst a barrage of blasts. A spear hurdles from his hand but clangs off the armored enemy without affect. Simaal is already dodging effortlessly around the outside of the invisible wall Nuzej had created. It would seem invisible things were not a problem for almost everyone around here.
Thyrius leaps out of his hiding spot and also rushes just around the edge of the invisible wall to take shelter with the rest of the group. By the team he's done, the invisible wizard has finished stumbling backwards. 2021 (two Concentration checks vs DC 10 to maintain greater invis)
The other Lich descends from the sky, his hands outstretched as he angles himself around the invisible wall enough to get an angle on the group...before unleashing magic at the group.
Nuzej, Xemnez, Zhuti, Toc, and Simaal, each make a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw. Reminder, you each have advantage on this save, thanks to Zhuti.

As the hovering Lich unleashes his magic, the group feels the fabric of the universe tearing and pulling at them. They each feel the force of the Lich's will struggling against their own to tear them away. The priestess' magic seems to flow into them, bolstering them. One by one they each manage to maintain the will to force away the magic. All except Nuzej. Gritting his teeth with effort....the wizard feels the pain of his injuries lancing through him, and all of a sudden it's too much. A vortex of magic explodes around him and then swallows him up leaving nothing behind.
The same vortex appears way down the street, over 100 feet away...and spits Nuzej out. He glances around seeming himself all but surrounded by the foes that had been spilling out of the Inn. The Lich turns and turns and points at him....its voice a grating terrible sound as it shouts to his servants, "GET THE STONE!"
The nearest of the enemies to the group seems to not hear the Lich, and glances around in confusion. Eventually he sees the pointing undead and turns about seeing Nuzej behind him. He hurtles a spear at him, then another.....
Attack on Nuzej: 17 Damage: 9
Attack on Nuzej: 25 Damage: 12
The three warriors beyond Nuzej are stumbling about, coughing smoke from their lungs as their sightless eyes can't help them. They stumble away from the burning Inn and across the street.
The only truly hale warrior, the one in the full plate blackened armor spins on his heels and charges towards Nuzej. He pulls his mace from his side and leaps at the mage swinging in a blur...
(If any of them hit, then for the first attack that hits Nuzej must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or else he is blinded for 1 minute. Nuzej can repeat the save at the end of each of his turns, ending the effect on himself on a success.)

Toc swears under his breath in elven....followed by an exasperated, "Ooooh....enough of this..."
He moves away from the wall of force a short ways and points his staff at the nearest Lich. A ball of fire leaps across the space and explodes around the undead.
The Lich glances over at Toc with a slightly annoyed look across its fleshless face, and reacts with a quick spell, weaving a counterspell.....Toc just grins as the counterspell magic seems to wash across the elf with no effect.
DC 19 Dex save : 39 fire damage, save for half. Save: 9 (legendary saved used on fail)
Nuzej looks around to get his bearings after being yanked... somewhere. Ah, well, that's not good. The spears fly at him and one almost gets him but instead hits his displacement cloak. Then a big scary armored person tries to hit him a bunch of times with a mace, but Nuzej can duck out of the way of the big swings. Those could have hurt. A scared expression spreads across his face. He looks to the door of the building to the south of him, and an expression of hope follows the fear. He begins to run southeast, staying within melee range of the man with the mace, making it seem like he's trying to flee into the building, flinging an arm out as if to will the door to open for him, and just before he leaves melee range, his foot hits the ground hard and he lets out a cry of dismay. "Land mine!" he shouts, and he disappears with a thunderous BOOM. A boom hard enough to hurt (16 thunder damage on a failed CON 19 save, half on a success). When the foes look back at where Nuzej was, or even if they were staring at him the whole time, he's suddenly gone.
(I've tried measuring this a bunch of times, and I think I can just get under that tarp with 90 feet of thunder step, and still have some movement to get under the force wall. HOWEVER, if I can't, or if Nuzej cannot see the place under the tarp he's trying to get to, then he would instead cast dimension door to get right under the tarp with plenty of room to spare, and no need to see the spot. He wouldn't, obviously, do any thunder damage, and there'd be no boom, and he'd instead just say "oh no!" and disappear from view. Goal is to disappear from their view and convince them that he's invisible and run into the building, or teleported somewhere, or gone somewhere else. But goal is to be under the tarp right next to Zhuti and Kit Kat.)
Once he arrives, he whispers, "that was unfortunate but we must try again. Or, Toc, take us to your destination,"and he holds out hands for others in hold just in case it comes to that.

Though tempted to try and step out to fire upon the Liches, a thought finally occurs in remembering Shock(?)'s seeming invulnerability to harm. At least where it came to the mundane weaponry. Xemnez sees the one person they need to get out of here suddenly appear across the courtyard from him, and then watches him get assaulted by the enemy. Just as quickly though, Nuzej puts on a bit of a show of rushing towards the tavern and then when he's in the smoke yells "BOOM" and vanishes. Xemnez's ear twerks to the left and he glances down where the grunting sound of Nuzej emerges, fairly quietly, from under the tarp. Trying not to give away his friends disappearing act, and also trying not to get too far away, he moves far enough to the side of the wall of force that he can unleash three arrows at one of the enemies. One deflects off the man's armor, but two slam into him, one sticking in a calf and the other grazing his forearm. He looks around in confusion for the vanishing wizard.
The other flying Lich who'd been holding a spell let's the magic boil away into the ether. He glances about, trying to identify where Nuzej may have gotten to....and then settles on just picking on the group he can see.
