Claw Attack Against Ink: 27 Damage: 10 slashing plus 20 necrotic

Ink, seeing the claw come down on him throws up a shield, but the demon is too powerful and in an explosion of magic, the claws pierce through the shield and rend Ink.

His body ravaged, Ink falls to the floor unconscious. 

"If you can't do something smart..." Don jumps at the creature flipping up to it's face and casts light on it's eyes.

He then disengages and goes for the door.

He yells back behind him in gutteral giant, "Follow me ugly!"

Hex Damage: 5

Don‘s light spell momentarily confounds the demon, giving him the opportunity to get away.

 Flint casts healing word L2  on Crowns guard 8, takes a step towards matrix and pours a potion of healing into his mouth 6. "Run me friends, get help!" Flint then grabs his holy symbol with his free hand and steps back from the demon taunting him. "Ye'll'na be gettin' this temple taday."

Crownsguard sits back up, “Hello! I am Crownsguard, your collaborative combati- Oh. Chaotic anathema, I remember now.” Crownsguard stands and stabs it in the leg, Attack: 20 Damage: 9 slashing + 2nd Level Smite: 16 and stabs again, Attack: 12 Damage: 7 slashing. Miss, ah well.

Crownsguard then casts Sanctuary on himself and starts backing up!

Matrix wakes up, cool flip things back into his feet (half my movement) sees Ink on the ground, runs over grabs his leg and uses step of the wind the bonus dash out of the room. "Well this went to shit"

Ink's DEATH SAVE 1

The High Hammer desperately utters an incantation, instilling Flint with an extra measure of strength. “Run, you daft fool!” 

Priest Healing Flint: 12

To the demon, the High Hammer bravely says, “You’ll not take me without a fight!” The priest casts a sacred flame at the 9-foot-tall monster, which strikes it in the face.

The monster then lands a blow on the high hammer in retribution, bloodying the dwarf’s face and rendering him unconscious before discarding him unceremoniously to the floor, in a pile of ceremonial armor and robes.

The abyssal creature raises its head, as if smelling the air, and then—Ink completely vanishes from Matrix’s grasp, dematerializing off the floor and reappearing imprisoned in the bloated chest cavity of the demon! Ink is still bleeding out, unconscious. 

The monster then attempts to step on Flint with his clawed foot, coming down off the altar as it does so. It is affronted by the holy symbol of the god Moradin. 

Claw Attack Against Flint: 18 Damage: 14 slashing plus 20 necrotic

The undead dwarf runs after Matrix, biting hungrily at the gunslinging monk with its teeth:

Bite Attack: 5 Damage: 11

Don sees what is going on and runs up, flipping up onto the creatures chest and hanging on he gives Ink a healing potion.

"What the... hey, no bad demon give the elf back!" As Ink bamfs from Matrix' grip he turns back to the big ugly and aims for its knee and fires! As the zombie chomps at him he tries to punch its face in.

knee shot 26 for 5 When you make a firearm attack against a creature, you can expend 1 grit point. On a hit, the creature takes damage and must make a STR saving throw (15) or be knocked prone.

Ink, now just conscious, tries to get an understanding of his surroundings and the roof above....

Crownsguard is going to spin up his hammer and pitch it!

Attack: 26 Damage: 6 bludgeoning damage and once more, his strike detonates into glorious bright energy! Last second level smite! 24 radiant damage

Processing Plan... Beep Boop... Please Hold...

Crownsguard decides that if they don’t commit now, they may lose Ink! He charges the remaining 20 feet toward the demon! As he does, his arm blade drags along the floor, igniting sparks of lightning which crackles with thunder as he casts Thunderous Smite, then swings... please hit.

Attack: 11 Damage: 9 slashing.

Clunk.

”I have made a decision. It was a poor one.” Crownsguard waves a little toward Ink, “Hello Ink. I had a plan to save you. There was a 60% chance of succeeding. I did not!”

Dontontion looks Ink straight in the eye. "Get out of here... Elf." He smirks. 

Seeing his friends arrayed against the creature and stubbornly fighting on, Flint calls out "ye stay at yer  own peril. This is th' house o' Moradin me friends, ye can't save me. Get ta th' main room!"

With that Flint hits the beast with his spiritual weapon and dodges it's attacks while he works his way towards the door, still holding up his holy symbol.

Attack: 12 Damage: 4 force

Ink says, "Damn all of you and your stubborn bravery."

Ink takes a SECOND WIND to steady himself ... 5 

"We need to create space away from this beast as soon as we can! Staying close isn't going to work!" Ink shouts.

Ink then concentrates for a second and reaches his hand back and slaps the back of his head... It didn't seem like it would make much of a sound, but the thunderwave that erupted straight back into the demon was immense!

Crownsguard’s thrown hammer strikes the demon with an impressive impact, while the other attacks are ineffective. Ink’s thunderous spell reverberates against the stone walls, though it does little to dissuade the monster from its rampage.

The demon lashes out at both Dontontion and Ink, seemingly frustrated that its quarry was revived.

Claw Attack Against Dontontion: 29 Damage: 13 slashing plus 16 necrotic

Claw Attack Against Ink: 14 Damage: 17 slashing plus 21 necrotic

Meanhilwe, the ghoulish undead dwarf, which had just moments ago been released from the belly of the demon, continues its hungry assault on Matrix—this time raking with fingers like talons...

Claw Attack Against Matrix: 7 Damage: 10 slashing. On a hit, please make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw.

I realize at this point that I am both stubborn to a fault and possibly a high risk to the rest of the party’s plan, but I really want this thing dead. I’m going to punch it again. I have become Crownsguard. We are in sync!

Blade Punch! Attack: 18 Damage: 11 slashing, Miss, and Attack: 18 Damage: 9 slashing! Yes! Thunder Smite: 2 thunder, DC 14 Str save against Prone, and first level smite, 13 radiant damage

Matrix shouts "We need some healers and fighters in here NOW!" Out toward the temple at large before firing another winging shot at the demons head, followed by a punch and an elbow to the dwarf-ghoul's face.
