"I don't necessarily think we need to sprint into town - but yes, we should take a "fast pace" into town," suggests Ink.
// Per PHB I think "fast pace" is 4 mph with a -5 to perception, whereas a "normal pace" is 3 mph... figure we'd get there in just shy of a couple of hours as opposed to 2-3 hours. //
// I didn't mean the pace of the game - game pace is all good. I literally meant travel speed for us - like not sprint, but not lollygagging around, either, you know? //
//If Angel was higher level he could run as fast as a horse then I could just run besides horse Marav as he is carrying you guys. LOL reminds me of the time we had to run across a city and I was a dwarf so they put me in the bag of holding (which has 10 minutes of air) and had the barbarian with a faster speed sprint with me in the bag to the other side of the city while our sorcerer was riding a flying broom//
Ink looks at Rip incredulously, "I don't think my levitation spell will last long enough for what you suggested... outside of the other objections I have."
"I can keep it going for about ten minutes - provided I don't break my concentration. You know what - the point it moot: I didn't prepare for it this morning. I have... other... spells at the ready should trouble find us."
Walking at a brisk pace, you start to pass farms and homesteads before seeing the town in the distance. A larger, sprawling township, Triboar sits on the Long Road and serves as a terminus for the Triboar Trail and the Evermoor Way.
As you approach the town, farmhands and playing children alike stop to stare at you for a moment, before going back to their business. Adventurers aren't uncommon in this neck of the woods, but you are well aware that a grouping such as yourselves is unusual.
The large settlement is not walled and has no definition as to borders, but is thriving nonetheless, with much to offer in terms of work, trade, and other things.
Approaching now from the south, you pass a few cottages and a wide, unused field on your left, ahead of which looks to be a ranch. To your immediate right is a graveyard, beyond which lies the well-known Triboar Arms taproom.
// If you like, you can walk around town and/or ask people. Just tell me where on the map you'd like to go, you should see some numbers and letters on it.
The taproom is just the first obvious business. But you'll see plenty entering town. //
//I'm assuming that we can see that central keep(T1?) from our vantage point.//
"Look," says Ink, "there's a keep of sorts in the middle of town. I'm sure we can find the Lord Protector there... at the very least, someone of importance." Ink makes a beeline for the keep.
As Ink is walking through town, he's keeping an eye out for Alaestra's trading post... then, looking up, "Quill, keep a look out for any... giants... in the distance. Just circle about 80 or so feet above our heads and keep watch, please."
