The "streets" are uneven dirt paths that are an average of about 5 feet across. You can reach the roofs with your hand, they start at about 5-7 feet off the ground—all the cottages are fairly low, and have been dug into the ground a bit before being built up.

Ink ducks out of the way of the undead horse's hooves, but is suffocated by the malignant spirit guardians conjured by the wight (WIS SAVE 10)... //Ink takes 9 necrotic damage//
Seeing himself caged in, Ink spins behind the horse and attempts to shove it into the wight (Athletics16) then runs as far as he can (25/30ft??) towards the stables where he heard the thunder crash, trying to duck out of the swipes from the wight and horse as he does so (//if either roll to hit 21-26 on an AOO, Ink casts shield as a reaction//).
Ink then turns around and steps to the side so that he can get a line of sight on the wight and casts ice knife (using a 3rd level spell slot)!
