While this happens, the giant ravens above wheel around from their lazy flying and fly away to the south.
Flint identifies the giant-sized ring as a magical object that requires attunement. The ring has 6 charges left. While attuned to the ring, a creature can expend 1 charge to cast conjure minor elementals (summoning either four magma mephits or four magmins, as the wearer wishes) or fire shield (warm shield version only) from the ring.
"I hate agreeing with Matty, but he's right. They were lookouts or something. They left as soon as we found the second artifact. Ink.. you can play with your new toy once we are on the way."
Crownsguard is able to heave the dragonbone weapon up the rope ladder with no difficulty, though the ropes strain under the load.
Once you are on the top deck, the crew looks at the relics as if they were intriguing curios. “Strange treasures,” comments Delsephine. “Where were you planning on storing that bone? And...is that from a dragon?”
"I hate agreeing with Matty, but he's right. They were lookouts or something. They left as soon as we found the second artifact. Ink.. you can play with your new toy once we are on the way."
"Fair enough," Ink replies.
He casts message towards the ship's captain and asks her to bring the ship to ground level so that they can bring the relics aboard.
He shoulders the ring, and, with some effort, carries the ring to the air ship.
// I'd say on to the next destination couterclockwise (Morgur's Mound?) While in route, flint will summon a wheelbarrow. (5gp reasonable?) //
"Morgur's Mound is fine by me," Ink comments.
"If you don't mind, I'm going to get to know this magma ring," Ink says as he prepares to unattune from the adamantine rod and attune to the magma ring.
Ink calls over his shoulder to Crownsguard, "Maybe you should learn how to swing that thing, in case we run into anything with a particular distaste to its materials."

Crownsguard tilts his head considering, “Yes. That seems a wise idea. Especially considering the fact that these treasures may be guarded by dragons.” Crownsguard finishes, waits a beat, and continues, “Which may oppose our generous benefactor’s goals of ensuring our success.”

"Ahh I don't think this bone will be a problem long. Magic is a wonderful thing," Don gestures at the boat floating in the air, "as you well know. Our metal friend is working on that problem right now."
The noonday sun burns bright but cold, as the wind chill seems to suck all the warmth from every crevice of your body.
(Staying outside, even in winter clothing, will require a Constitution Save every hour. If you wish to do this or to take shifts, let me know!)
As Ink attunes to the giant ring made from hardened magma, it slowly shrinks over the hour until it fits over his index finger, and warm orange light begins to spill from minuscule cracks that form on its outer surface.
Likewise, as Crownsguard attunes to the dragonbone greatclub, it magically shrinks to a size that the construct can wield effectively. It is an odd looking weapon, but swings well; and Crownsguard knows it will have an abjuring affect against dragons.
As dusk settles into night, Ink finds a little privacy, despite the tressum at the door, and casts sending whispering to the alhoon, "So dark steel. Where did you find that? Any tips on enchanting them? They are a bit mundane since we severed them from Orcus."
Ink will wait a bit for a reply, but not respond again that night. He then goes up stairs to stand a watch for the evening...
Ink hears a wet, echoing laugh in response to his telepathic message, but no other reply comes.
As the sun’s failing corona settles into darkness in the west, Ink and Crownsguard are feeling the effects of the incredible cold. On the plus side, Crownsguard has been enjoying some incredible views—a flock of birds flying underneath the ship, a sunset against the Sea of Swords far in the west, and many interestingly-shaped clouds passing by.
// Ink and Crownsguards both suffer one level of exhaustion. //
(There are still several more hours to go—if you wish to remain on watch outside in the darkness, you may continue to make CON saves. If Crownsguard wishes to retire for the evening, he has only to climb down with an Athletics check—with disadvantage due to exhaustion)
Like a boss, Flint stays outside for three hours. Around deepnight, the headwinds die down, allowing you to remain abovedeck with a bit more comfort.
It takes several more hours traveling south towards the Crags, navigating by the stars, to get close to the site of Morgur’s Mound. Dawn rises on a very different climate than the one you left yesterday; the rough and hilly terrain below you has no snow, but is mottled with patches of all sorts of browns and greens. Rocky outcroppings dominate the landscape; the entire region serving as foothills for the Neverwinter mountain range.
Off the starboard side, in the west, Mount Hotenow rises from the Neverwinter Forest like a wicked, splintered spike.
Your flight will take you to the far side of the Crags, where Morgur’s Mound is said to be. You aren’t sure you recall which tribe of Uthgardt is connected to this spirit mound, but you are informed you’re about an hour away.

Ink, looking up at the departing crows says, "Well, that's odd that they stayed the entire time and then left when we were finished here."
"So," Ink says, "you all don't mind if I take a closer look at this, do you?" Ink has a gleeful smile.
Unless someone stops him, Ink unattunes from the adamantine rod and attunes to the massive magma ring.

The captain brings the skids of the airship all the way down into the snow, making it much easier to climb aboard.
Once everyone is on or below deck, you are once again able to set off into the sky.
