Ink walks about and searches an excavation site and sees an unexplored side tunnel. "I'm going to dig and do a bit of investigation over here." Ink picks a site along the body (DM's choice). "FLINT, could you provide me some HELP and some GUIDANCE?"
/ Investigation 8, if at advantage, also 23, if guidance is offered 2
Flint makes a rather awkward descent trying to hang on to his wheelbarrow, then with a quite satisfied look on his face loads up the shovels and pickaxe and carts them towards the mound. He takes a glance into the first excavation site to see if there are any tunnels revealed within while absently rubbing his neck. "We startin with th' dig sites 'er th' bones up top? "

"Dig sites, come over here, Flint... Need your help!"
Don is unusually quiet as he digs, not making much headway. After about an hour Edgar lands on his shoulder and begins to change. In an instant Edgar the raven becomes Edgar the badger.
Don grins and looks up. "Ok, now lets get going. Edgar, help me dig." The badger leaps down and begins to tear through the dirt like a madman. He then waves his hand and a big glowing disk appears a couple feet above the ground. Don begins to transfer the loose dirt Edgar is digging up onto the floating disk.
As it starts to get full he walks away with the disk following him. He then empties off the dirt then walks back. "Good boy Edgar!"
Investigation: 16
//Badgers are supposed to be the fastest diggers, just FYI.//
After searching and digging for eight hours, there is one thing you have to show for your work: Ink has found a bottled potion buried inside a box, towards the rear "legs" of the Thunderbeast mound.
Darkness is coming quickly, and you still have quite a lot of ground to cover. The choice of whether to stay and keep looking is yours! You are free to work into the night, or to rest and continue searching at sunup.
Dontontion, with the help of his raven-turned-badger Edgar, works into the twilight and eventually finds a buried case with a scroll in it, near one of the spines on the top ridge of the mound.
Crownsguard, at around the same time, unearths a gold-plated giant’s tooth near the tail of the thunderbeast. The tooth is small enough to fit in Crownsguard’s hand, and most certainly quite old.
No sooner does Crownsguard have the tooth in hand than the earth trembles all round him. Four skeletal beasts with inexplicably huge maws erupt from the ground, and make for Crownsguard!
// Keeping it simple—everyone is 60 feet from Crownsguard, and the enemies will go first, but Crownsguard gets one action before they go. The lighting is dim, and the footing is treacherous in places. //
Don moves to within 30 feet of the monsters and casts Bane on the 2 that hit CG and the one that has him grappled.
Charisma Save of 15 needed or subtract 1d4 from attack roll or saving throws.
Don then ducks behind one of the many piles of dirt and attempts to hide. //I assume there will be piles since we have been digging between 8 and 16 hours//
“We should be safe from any undead near this area. Please keep this in mind.”

Flint is willin to keep at it until nightfall, at which point he recommends we rest on the airship.
Don continues to work. He is worried that the longer we stay the more chance someone else will show up.
He offers to cast light if Ink wishes to keep working. Otherwise he and Edgar will continue.
