During our downtime, Matrix will finish his plans for the Crownsguard thing and shows them to Flint for him to help with the work. "Crownsguard I need you around this week to finish a project for you. I also need around 60 gold. Uh... please?"

During the 2nd week of downtime Don goes off outside of town to a remote area not too far from town and begins to meditate. He works to refine and change his relatively new warlock abilities. Practicing with his blasts, honing the skill involved. Putting more force of will into them.
Over the course of the week his blasts become more and more powerful. He loses his ability to use the Bane invocation replacing the power he held back for that allowing him to channel that into his blasts.
//Replacing a 1 cast a day bane for a +4 to damage for eldritch blast. So instead of 2 blasts of 1d10 it is 2 blasts of 1d10+4 :)

Ink over the next two weeks, finds some time to finish copying his spell book.
Seeing that he's low on funds, Ink joins the underground pit fights hoping to get lucky... He sees Crownsguard at cards table as he walks in.
PIT FIGHTING (week one)
STR (Athletics) check, replaced with an attack roll of his scimitar, of 18 vs DC of 18
DEX (Acrobatics) check, using bladesong, of 18 vs DC of 19
CON check, with largest available hit die bonus, of 18 vs DC of 22
If 41% =< 10‰, then complication of 3
.....
After the beatings he received in the pits, Ink decides he could use a drink and reconnects with the soldiers and mercs he had met last he was in Neverwinter....
"Okay I finished it! Now I have a few name ideas for you to choose from, but first...." Matrix holds up Crownsguard's modified arm blade, he has attached a chain to the base of the blade and some sort of chambers on either side of the blades base. "If I did this right, you should be able to "shoot" your sword! These chambers here are filled with smoke powder, when you press these triggers at the same time the powder will detonate and blast your sword 30 feet! I attached the chain so you don't lose the blade. It will need to be reloaded after each shot, I'll teach you how though. Now as far as names go I have 'blade blaster' 'sword slinger' 'Thunder Spear' or 'Mr. Mcfeely' I'll let you pick. You've been saying you needed a ranged attack, so I figured this might do" Matrix then helps to install the blade back into Crownsguard's arm if he wishes.
Crownsguard tilts his head as he examines the blade, “You are concerningly good at creating weapons. Your violent creativity frightens me in many ways, thank you.”
After a moment longer of examining, “Agreed. Thunder Spear is a good name. We will go with that.”

After a week of working on Crownsguard’s armblade, Flint and Matrix have arrived at an impressive solution: a blade that is propelled using the same smokepowder that Matrix uses for his guns.
Meanwhile, Ink spends his time training and competing in the pit fighting arena that he located in the rundown River District. The week went exceptionally well for him, with challenger after challenger being beat soundly. It was nothing like the life-and-death fights that you have been accustomed to; the nonlethal combats feel more like sparring, but the small crowds love it and eat it up. After a particularly impressive victory, the manager asks Ink what he’d like to be called, so that they can advertise the next time he fights.
Dontontion, in the meantime, makes plenty of gold in games of chance in the more well to do districts, using his powers of Charisma to great effect.

Don looks at Crownsguard's new arm blades. "Those look nice. Good work." he glances over at Matrix, "do we all get those dragon things? Sure would be nice if we could all rain down that hell."
"When you've spent as much time in the streets with a glowing magical eye as I have, you learn to make weapons from whatever is at hand. Fortunately my hands were forged into weapons by my family." Matrix absent mindedly rubs the scar under his eye, deep in thought for a moment "Anyway here is two powder pouches, you can get two shots from each pouch. The powder is even more sensitive than Ink when you call him 'elf' so be careful and keep it away from fire." He then shows Crownsguard how to reset the mechanism.
"Okay you be careful, I'm going to try to get some gold.... you blow yourself, or anyone else up im not liable."
Week 2 (remember to subtract your upkeep from your character sheet, according to your chosen lifestyle, modest/wealthy/etc):
Finding a peaceful place to meditate, Dontontion is finds he is able to readjust the pact energy flowing through him to invoke other supernatural wonders. Many hours and days later, he has emptied himself of one invocation to favor another.
Ink, on the other hand, decides to make some time to catch up with old acquaintances. But try as he might, visiting tavern after boarding house, he doesn't find any of his friends at any of their old haunts. The strong mercenary guard that once comprised the army of Neverwinter has seemingly been depleted, and in their place is now a rather raucous, thuggish group called the Sons of Alagondar. Ink learns quickly that these new guard are not at all fond of foreign mercenaries (or foreigners in general), and tend to ignore any inquiry into the previous members of the Neveran militia.
Matrix, meanwhile, seeing the success Ink had in the River District fighting pits, decides to try his hand at the game. His first few outings are less than stellar, owing mostly to poor turnout. He turns no profit for most of the week, although he does earn some respect for his exotic fighting style. Then, on the final evening of the week, there is a local champion whom Matrix beats soundly, earning himself a purse of 50 gold pieces.
Crownsguard follows Matrix to the River District and finds a gambling ring, mostly dealing with three-dragon ante. For the first couple of nights, he does well, but then in a high-stakes game at the end of the week, he loses everything, all his winnings and his entire stake, on what he thought was an excellent hand.
Flint spends his week working with the crew and hired laborers repairing the ship. He uses his fabricate spell daily to convert rough lumber into stacks of boards useful for repairs. He spends a good amount of time keeping the tools repaired and doing any needed manual labor to keep the work going, on one day he takes a break from that to scribe a scroll for Ink. Now that you've seen him in good light without his gorget, you notice Flint has an open wound on his neck which is frozen in place and showing signs of frostbite.
Ink, sullen from his most recent escapades, happens upon Flint while he's helping mend the ship and stops dead cold in his tracks. He then tells Flint while pointing at the dwarf's scar, "There's a story behind that and you need to tell me about it."
"After we left Mirabar? Where we battled a demon?" Ink asks astonished and rhetorically.
Ink continues, "No - we're not leaving. There are plenty of temples here, I'm sure. Perhaps even one to Moradin. We're taking you to see some clerics and healers."
During our downtime, Matrix will finish his plans for the Crownsguard thing and shows them to Flint for him to help with the work. "Crownsguard I need you around this week to finish a project for you. I also need around 60 gold. Uh... please?"
