Ghee continues to assault the house cat with blows designed to bring it down. Smacking the butt of his spear into its forehead, he follows up with a couple of choice elbow strikes.
Khan stands up and notices that the fight has moved away from her. She begins to head back toward the scrap, but does not make it into the thick of it in time.
Ghee is already in the thick of it, and he continues to attack. In three quick blows, the dwarf finally puts the beast to sleep. (Hybrid Pet #3 takes 28 magical bludgeoning damage and is DEFEATED.)
Ang and Bleep already had their own follow up attacks cocked, but thankfully they both miss the now pacified foe.
"That's enough!" the group hears. A few paces to the east, the manor's front door opens seemingly by itself.
YOU ARE NOW OUT OF INITIATIVE. YOU MAY DO AS YOU WILL.
Khan, significantly less satisfied but accepting(for now), slipped away her axe and doubled back for the door. "Bleep correct. But remain wary. This way too much like Grung way. Very... odd."Khan mentions as much along the way to the others. Quietly enough to seem discrete. Yet, realizing the elf had some invisibility magics of her own, not so quiet as to appear overly concerned with being overheard.
Bearrik shudders faintly, then morphs back into a dwarf. The whole bumbling nature-man look is a little ruined by the blood encrusting his mouth, which he doesn’t seem to notice.

Saros calls Omen to his shoulder and then joins the rest of the group as they mass near the now open door "Looks like we earned that invitation after all...." and stomps up the steps "Why don't you display some manners now elf and show yourself...."
Noting that Saros will be alert for danger, looking for signs of other potential attackers Perception 6 not trusting the elf and her games (OOC: rolls back to normal}
With the three hybrid jaguars left unconscious on the floor, the group lets their individual adrenaline levels settle back down, including Darrik who reassumes his dwarven form. Bleep's conclusion on a successful test is backed up by Khan, who remains highly suspicious. Saros takes on a more aggressive tone, challenging Mez Kara to show herself. He receives no answer, though the manor's front door remains open as an invitation to the group.
Looking around, the wizard does not pick up anything unexpected. He does notice, however, that the guarded gate behind them has remained close, even now that the test is concluded. The guards on the other side of the gate seem to simply have resumed their guarding duties, not paying too much attention to the group.
Being much closer to the manor now, the group notices a few extra details. First, the outer walls of the three story building are speckled with thorny vines, which cluster every so often to allow a yellow bloom to sprout. These are very similar to the flowers the party spotted on the stone wall surrounding the estate. Second, the main door itself consists of a large set of double doors made of solid wood. You imagine the heavy doors may be difficult to break, and the bulky locking mechanism adorning it may be quite difficult to bypass. Thankfully, you are now guests going by what Mez Kara had mentioned earlier. Third, though the building sits near the edge of the property, you gather there is enough space to go around its perimeter if you so desire.
Khan smirked at the lack of answer, but is no more antagonistic than that. Despite somewhat feeling the same, there wasn't even a guarantee the elf was still around. And so, she wouldn't waste her breath, but merely take in their surroundings, the various defenses, the potential escape routs, and etc. while marching her way on inside. As before she took on a lead position, trusting at least Ang to be right on her heels, and keeping her own slimy mitts away from any weapons. At least for now, for showing anything more than caution was to display fear.

Ang catches her breath and look at the health of her group. With her medicinal herbs in hands, she is ready to use some of her ingredients if needs be. (OOC: using her healer's kit if someone is quite injured). Ang then catches up with Khan and start walking towards the manor. "Stay on your guard Khan, there is something odd about this place. I'll stay close but hidden from danger if I can". She then tries to walk in the shadows as much as possible.
As the final house cat slumps to the ground, Ghee breathes a sigh of relief. Placing the butt of his spear firmly on the ground he grips its shaft and lets his weight hang for a moment. Looking around her tries to spot Mez.
"Some test, eh? So lass, ye reckon we pass? Any chance o' gettin' an introduction up at the manor?"

Like with Saros' provocation a moment earlier, Ghee's questions receive no direct answer. To some of the group, including Darrik and his unrhythmic whistling, the lack of a verbal confirmation seems a bit contradictory to the fact that the front door remains open. To others, such as Khan and Ang, the open door is enough confirmation. The two grung begin to walk forward cautiously.
Khan notices a few interesting things with the help of her peripheral view (passive). Darrik notices these too. @Khan & @Darrik:
There are cellar doors on one of the manor's outer side walls. They are kept shut with the help of a padlock.
Windows to various rooms can be seen on the mansion. Most of them are protected with iron grates, which are attached directly into the iron window frame and would certainly be nearly impossible to be removed without the use of specialized tools. That said, the iron grates on one window on the third floor are bent open.
Ang makes sure to blend into the surrounding environment perfectly before completely entering the manor. She peeks inside and see what can only be described as a foyer. The foyer is ornately decorated with a large painting of a lordly and wizardly figure looking off to the side, hand raised, beginning to cast a spell. Around him are white daisies and bunny rabbits. The floor is an abstract mosaic pattern made of gray and orange stones. A small bench is located outside the door to sit on and remove one’s shoes, which seems to be a requirement judging by a number of footwear pairs left by the bench. Halls lead to the left (west) and right (east), with a grand stair case leading up to a second-floor landing.
(@Grimnir: I'll leave it up to you to decide whether Ang knows what a foyer is. ☺)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ang slowly enter this large room, looking for traps or anything suspicious. (Investigation: 9). She heard story about humanoids and how they like living in immense house. She never really understood that, living in the jungle is for her the best way, how to commune with the nature. Being barefoot, she doesn't pay to much attention at the shoes. With a quick look, she judge how many pairs she sees and evaluate how many persons could be in this manor. Then, she continues in the shadows and enter this large room, looking for any living being. "No bed, no cook... this is a weird place to live... there must be more to it."she thinks.
She gives a sign to Khan and starts to move toward the East corridor to recon the area, leaving Khan to present himself t the Lord if needed.
Once Khan completes her passive survey of the immediate room, she sighs and narrows her eyes at the statue. It is not until Ang made her signal that she stops mean mugging it from irritation, and spares her second a look. Though there's a moment Khan seems hesitant to agree, she nodded faintly, believing they could perhaps claim ignorance at best, or deal with the consequences of some unspoken rule well enough. With that done, she stood in the foryer with her hands folded behind her back, intending to wait at least a minute for the elf to finish updating her master, and hopefully return with him in tow. If not, then unabashedly she would make for the second floor landing for a look around of her own.

Not really understanding what a foyer is, Ang takes a look around and shows some surprise at the size and design of this large home. She meant to keep a close eye on the nooks and crannies around, in case any of them were hiding some danger, but instead seems a bit distracted by how foreign a human's abode is too her and her grung way. Nonetheless, she manages to count five pairs of shoes by the entrance, though some of those must belong to the same owner, surely.
The purple gung then fully enters the room, careful to maintain her presence hidden. She can't see any other living creatures within this welcoming room and, with that, signals her grung brethren to follow. Not particularly interested in the few extra features she noticed on the outside of the manor, Khan follows her lieutenant in. She notices the same general features within the foyer as Ang did. Nothing jumps at her as being special. Bleep follows a few seconds later, relying more on his hearing than his sight when it comes to identifying potential dangers. The green grung also fails to identify anything particularly threatening.
While Khan waits a bit to see if any hosts will appear, Ang snoops around the east hall. She spots a simple corridor that has a door halfway down and another door at the end of it. The door at the halfway mark is closed, but the one at the end of the corridor is ajar. Ang can't see much beyond the door but she recognizes a lit fireplace on what must be some sort of cozy parlor.
No host shows up within the timeframe Khan had decided on, so the orange grung begins to make her way up the central staircase. She arrives at the second floor landing. This floor's layout is a copy of the first. She sees a west and an east wing to each side of the staircase, which turns 180 degrees to allow continued ascension onto the third and final floor of the manor. Apart from some modest art, the second floor landing is unremarkable.
OOC: I hope this helps. Here are the exploration options you have uncovered so far. More may be added depending on where you decide to go. A crossed out entry simply means you have entered that room:
1st Floor - Foyer
1st Floor - East Hall - Closed Door
1st Floor - East Hall - Cozy Parlor
1st Floor - West Hall
2nd Floor - Landing
2nd Floor - East Hall
2nd Floor - West Hall
3rd Floor - Landing
Outside - Cellar Doors (Only Khan and Darrik are aware of this option.)
Outside - Bent iron grates leading to one of the 3rd floor windows. (Only Khan and Darrik are aware of this option.)
Ghee mooches around the castle grounds a little more before he spots it. Nestled between tufts of grass emerging between the cobbles of the courtyard, his mug!
Stopping to retrieve it, he brushes a little dirt from it before storing it away for future use.
Noticing the others note a ways off at the threshold of the house, Ghee hustles to not be left behind and catches up with the grungs.
By the time Ghee hustles in Khan had hopped onto whatever amounted to a banister on the 2nd floor's landing, not even caring if the adhesive mucus on her toes left traces on it. After a quick once over the foyer from her higher vantage point, Khan's grow half-lidded as she tried to focus her senses on capturing any traces of the invisible elf.
Perception: 19. (at disadvantage going by Invisible rules. Feel free to ignore if not applicable)
Upon narrowing down her coordinates, Khan squints at the woman and mouths the words, 'Another test'. If, however, she can't pinpoint the woman's position, she took one look at the 3rd floor landing, and if the angle was right, any stairs leading up to it is ignored in favor of up to it. Though if not quite possible to do so in a single bound, she settles for leaping onto a wall and using the very same mucus to adhere as she scrambles on up and over onto the landing eventually.
Her goal? Examine the bent bars more closely to try and get a sense of what might've been the source...
Investigation: 4. (if Survival would also be applicable, add another +2 to the result)
