"Huh. Nine said 'light, it burns'. Lemme try something. All'a ya, take yourselves and your lights around the corner."
Presuming the others did so and the light disappeared, Ilyara started padding her way slowly, carefully forward, one hand lightly resting on the metal pommel of her sword to feel for any temperature changes. Should the sword start to heat, she'd immediately stop and retreat.
There is still some reflected dim light at the 30 foot mark but the temperature on metal items only rises slightly. Tommary mentioned that at 30 feet it was hot enough to be uncomfortable. Stepping farther into total darkness, the items return to normal.

A bank of fog that only Ilyara can see forms in front of her as she back up ninja like into the rest of you.
Tommary is the only other person that detects a snuffling sound from the front.
OOC: Total darkness? I didn’t realize everything was dark. If I missed something, or forgot something, I’m sorry.
I know Ily doused her light, but I thought the rest of us had simply backed away with ours a safe distance from the mirrors while Ilyona walked partway down the hall to test her theory, so I thought the rest of us still had some light. I thought Ily had seen the monsters first because she was still in that hallway, which was why she need to “slink backwards to meet up with the others.” I only mentioned Toots hearing the sniffling because, not knowing there was any threat, she had turned around to ask Ely if she was okay wearing the heavy armor or needed a rest, so her back is facing the corridor. And since Tommar is behind Ely, and 9 is behind Tommary, I assumed whoever passed their check would be looking towards the hallway behind Toots.
If any of that is incorrect, then please correct me because I must have missed something.

OOC: I'm tracking with Wysp in this scene, everything makes (unavailable) sense to me. That said, since we're not in initiative, would Tommary be spooked enough to create and toss a lightcoin in the direction of the "ka-cha-cha-cha" stuff?
