To Prove D&D Exists for Echolon

The sea lions look distressed when all of their water drains into the bottom tier then down the drain. They look more frustrated than angry or aggressive. They are keeping away from the crack in their pen as the badly dissolved corpse or their companion is much in evidence on the floor.

The door in the lowest tier is still closed with a pull handle visible. 

Tommary likely "didn't see the light" it's almost like a flaw.

Three hit dice for 13 hp. all together, I'll get 1 more if Toots does her thing with the muzak.  I'm not "mint in box" condition leatherwise, but it's looking better, and he's going to try to make "distressed capes" a thing back in town.

OOC: Have some real life work occupying me through the weekend.  Tommary will tag along and help accordingly to the best of his ability, or at least put on a show conveying that impression.

Tommary waxes and buffs to Toots' Muzak.

OOC: not as bound to work as I thought I'd be.  Will check in if anything is initiated.  But I'm assuming we're going to explore another door.

OOC: I think so, but Tommary is the party’s best explorer type dude, followed by Ilyara. The two Hin ladies in the party focused on other strengths, Toots being more of a “People Person” herself, as is her inamorata. Only, Toots is better at the social interactions while Elyona is better with the physical ones if ya catch my meanin.’

OOC: (Was that a Labyrinth reference?) Look, all I’m sayin’ is that Tommary’s Perception bonus alone equals the combined total of both Toots’ and Elyona’s Perception and Investigation bonuses all added together.

The door appears to be similar to other doors in this lovely place except for the whole being soaked in water and jelly chunks thing. There is a pull handle instead of a push plate and the hinges are on your side of the door. 

Elyona will carefully make her way to the level where the gelatinous cube was, locate her daggers, and carefully clean them before stowing them.

OOC: Sposta, what type of crossbow did Toots give Elyona?  And how many bolts?

Tommary will take a closer look at the door looking for any indicators of challenges, hazards, or stimieing to opening the door.  Perception 10.  If he does determine any indicia of door difficulties, he will investigate the hazard's workings, investigation 21.  "Hmmm," he ponders as his mind considers on a different tangent the talent a winged behemoth would need to use the power of winds to shear iron or bronze into the shape of man inexplicably underdressed for public exhibition.

OOC: Toots tossed one of the hand crossbows she and Tommary boosted from the goblins, I don't know if it was an even split or I took the bigger hand, but I walked off with 9 bolts.

The door does not seem to be trapped or rigged, but there is what looks like a keyhole in the floor. Thanks to the drainage, the sand was washed away allowing you to easily spot it.

It does look like the keys will fit.

OOC: Time to hit the rewind machine to get that rainbow sorted out.

OOC: A hand crossbow, and Toots inventory shows she was carrying 11 crossbow bolts. I’m about 85%* sure that I removed the one she shot at the glass from her inventory, but I know she hasn’t gone to look for it. It was easier to remember to do that before they pinned Equipment to the top of the inventory tab because I used to put extra spaces before the name of the quiver / boltcase / ammo pouch to get it to display topmost in inventory. 🤷‍♂️ (Sorry Wysp.) Either way, if Wysp is okay with 11 as the official number then I’ll call it a push. 

Toots also clambers towards the lowest level of the enclosure. •unnhh, ooff• “Little…” •uhh• “…help here…” •erff• “…please.” While as nimble as most Hin, Toots is no more strong than average. Her backpack bulges with animals and equipment, and even more equipment has been strapped to every conceivable inch of its exterior including a full set of leathers that she has dressed it in like a diaper to offer the Otterpops what protection she could. The additional pouches that hang from her belt like leathery avocados swing a bit as she struggles. The total bulk and mass looks almost comical on her tiny frame as she fails to climb the sheer pane of glass while carrying what appears to be one-and-a-half times her weight in gear. As it appears she is about to crest the top, her lute swings forward a bit in the awkward kerfuffle, knocking her floppy hat down over her eyes and she slips back down to the ground.

“Aww nuts!” She steps back and readies her Lute in her hands as if holding an axe. With the tip of her tongue peaking from the corner of her mouth she swings the instrument in the air like the worlds tiniest lumberjillxto bring her barely used spectral mallet to bear against the offending glass. 💥 As the transparent barrier shatters she sighs contentedly and adjusting her accoutrements before dropping down through the hole to rejoin the others. Her feet splash down into the shallow water, and she sighs exasperatedly, rolling her eyes toward the ceiling of the room as if to ask the mountain “why.” Resigning herself to again having damp feet, she ambles over to the door. She approaches, eyeballing it warily, obviously more concerned with whatever threat it may represent than she is by the nearby aquamanticores still swimming about.

”Uggh, everything here is so gross! I am sick of all this constant damp and filth.” She immediately starts to prestidigitate the door clean, as well as anything else anyone puts in front of her, almost blindly doing it as if compelled to make things cleaner.

The aquamanticores are more like splashing about than swimming as 90% of their water went down the drain. But they stay away from the breaches for the moment.

The door is made free of dirt, scum, rust and whatnot. Looks good as new-ish.

OOC: I trust your call on ammo =)

Ilyara hangs back for the moment, giving Tommary enough room to inspect the gate and its keyhole brethren whilst ensuring she's at least slightly less likely to be caught in any trap blasts.

"Oiy, Tallboots!" she called.  "What odds ya wanna give that this thing opens up to a different place for each color'a key?  Or that every color 'cept one blows us up with some different manner of nastiness?  Maybe we should have Tootsie do her detectomancy thing?  I got one last Dispell left today, if'n we discover there's yet more dirty an' unpleasant arcane bomb on the latch."

“Wha’?!? Oh, right.” Tootsie, I mean Toots does her detectomancy thing.

Tommary produces the array of keys.  "Didn't we already check these for mojo?  I mean if it was mojo mechanism wouldn't these be mojo-ing too?" 

OOC: was hoping they were planescape keys, just so I can get my head wrapped around them, given a turn my main in real time game has gone.
