About the not reorienting, there’s a setting on your phone to turn reorientation on and off. I have Apple and cannot help you find it, but if you find that switch and flip it you can do more on DDB.

Correct, there is no light whatsoever. 

The daylight spell and the direction of the attacks gave you a bearing on where the creature was.

The floor around Tommary and Elyona also stops being sticky.
