 Tommary's black tile and the brown tile are exactly the same size and thickness, the differences being their color and the holes in them.

As he coils his Christmas Lights to see if they're salvageable he explains, "No, it did not work.  I was trying to work around, and now I might've jammed the whole thing." After tucking his lights into one of his many pouches for assessment later, he produces the brown card again, "Ok, let's see if it does anything with this one" and inserts the Brown Tile.
