According to the Teleport spell: This spell instantly transports you and up to eight willing creatures of your choice that you can see within range, or a single object that you can see within range, to a destination you select. If you target an object, it must be able to fit entirely inside a 10-foot cube, and it can't be held or carried by an unwilling creature.
If I'm reading this right, that would mean that if I have someone bound and slung over my shoulder, when I went to Teleport they would be left behind as they are not "willing creatures." Thoughts?
We have had this come up and decided that an unconcious or similar person gets a charisma save no matter if they want or not (since most hostile teleports are charismabased, as banish and planeshift).
Mostly to prevent both allies and enemies from snatching people instantly and going all over the world.
In that specific case as a DM, I would allow it. If the PC was conscious they would have allowed it.
Or would likely have allowed it. I've seen people make strange decisions, ones i did not expect as player or DM. "No! I want to stay and die, my best friend just got killed!" If you get into future counterfactuals, you're in trouble. The spell is working because the caster thinks the person would have been willing if they'd been conscious?
Personally, I am comfortable defying the RAW here entirely. Bringing unconscious people with you in a teleport is fine. Bringing conscious but unwilling people allows for a save, but is also still possible. I admit, I am mostly motivated by movies, fantasy and sci-fi, where such things happen and make for good plot points :)
You can get some other odd situations with other spells too. Friends, Charm Person, even Command to a degree, can all muddle what counts as willing.
There is also the question of how much knowledge counts as willing. Does simply saying "Hey, come with me" count?
So I think this is how to do it. Cast Charm Person or Command on your unconscious friend, and then you can teleport with their unconscious body, because now you're sure they would be willing :D

If you're gonna be a bear...be a Grizzly.
Depends on how generous your DM is being. I'd allow it. Especially if it was my villain kidnapping someone that they tied up.

Correct. You can't Teleport someone that doesn't want to come with you.
What about unconcious then, do they have a "will"?
You could put them in a situation where they either willing go with you or something horrible happens.
You could kill them, teleport them as an object, then use Revivfy
You can't really consent to something if you don't know it's happening.
Which again makes for some odd cases, when fleeing and one partymember is down. Theu cannot be taken along via teleport.
That goes both ways. It also means your enemies can't KO one of your allies and teleport them against their will.
