Rapier in right hand, psychic blade in left => psychic blade attack
Switch rapier to left hand (Interact with an object)
Manifest psychic blade in right hand => psychic blade attack
You can flavor it as juggling or some other jaunty move when you switch hands. This is even better in conjunction with with Bladesinger's extra attacks, where you need a "real" weapon to cantrip anyway. And the Bladesinger side loves it as well because you always have a free hand to cast with,
Another good combo is Beast barbarian claws, which both are weapons and can hold weapons. With extra attack you can psychic blade, claw twice as per the feature, then BA psychic blade. Going STR also allows you to use the giant belt line in place of magic items to still boost your hit chances, as well as Reckless Strikes.

Agreed, this would look less ridiculous, although it would still be ridiculous.
you, unfortunately, not able to attack with a rapier and then psi-blades. the psi-blades and not a light weapon, and the 1st blade is for and attack action, not BA. now maybe you can work around with the dual wielder feat.
