Hello! I am curious to ear if you guys have any suggestions of underrated spells when used in combat - possibly spells that usually is not thought as "for combat use".
Levitate is my pick. Target a melee opponent without ranged attacks, flight, and is within the weight limit of the spell. They get one save, failing that you can hoist them up in the air and keep them out of the combat for a whopping 10 minutes (concentraton). Then use the opponent for ranged target practice. Pretty brutal for a level 2 spell slot.
Levitate is one of the best control spells against melee creatures. You can neutralize really dangerous monsters like Dire Trolls or something.
I have seen some good use cases for Unseen Servant, specially because Wizards usually don’t have much usage for their bonus action. You can command your Unseen Servant to give you goodberries or healing potions (who needs Healing Word, right?) and also make them drop a flask of oil at the enemies square, granting +5 fire damage once easily ignited by things like Create Bonfire, Firebolt, Burning Hands, Dragon’s Breath, Scorching Ray or Fireball. You can also add some extra layer of control using Caltrops or Ball Bearings with the Unseen Servant as well.
I have found Major Image to be better out of combat. Works fantastic as a social intimidate, particularly on annoying peasant types.
Amazing what someone will do after you summon a demon from hell, give it a command and then funnel it down a poor peasant's throat. Yes, the King's men did come through here looking for you, no I won't tell them I saw you. Please take the demon out. I did what you said, PLEASE, I DID WHAT YOU SAID!

Illusions like minor illusion and silent image can be pretty strong if allowed to act as full-on, sight-line-blocking cover.

Major Image is also wonderful for scaring away less intelligent creatures.
Not all those who wander are lost.
