Awesome! I know a bit about Strixhaven, so I have some idea on what subclasses they could include (maybe even a redone theurgist wizard for Lorehold). The five houses of Strixhaven have their own cool theme, a few of them already have subclasses that fit them quite well (Spores Druids for Witherbloom, Scribes Wizards for Quandrix, Arcana Domain Clerics for Lorehold).
I would guess that there might be some sort of "Mathmagician" Wizard subclass, maybe a spell/Bard or Wizard subclass that summons an Ink familiar for Silverquill, and maybe an Elemental summoning Bard or Sorcerer subclass for Prismari.
Anyway, I'm excited to see what it has! Any other guesses?

what's Strixhaven? Is this some kind of prior existing setting that is explored in the new book of fey nonsense?

No, it’s one of the Magic the Gathering settings base around a large magical academy if I’m not mistaken.

Strixhaven on the plane of Arcavios is a MTG setting that is essentially their version of adult Hogwarts. It was founded by the Elder Dragons of the realm, and currently employs the infamous alumni Liliana Vess as a professor.

This could mean that this is where we get the draconic subclasses as well.
A subclass centered around manipulating swamps, plants, and the life-energy therein.
Combine that sort of subclass with the new Hexblood lineage; and you get a hag!
Cool name, too...emphasizes the cycle of life...bloom...wither...and bloom again.
Lorehold - Wizard / Artificer
The description of drawing upon history fits snugly with both Wizards & Archivists...and would provide a new way to revisit older Unearthed Arcana, perhaps.
The Lore Wizard & the Archivist could be making comebacks. We’ll see.
Again, good naming scheme...what do you do with knowledge...? Hoard it! : P
Prismati - Bard / Sorcerer
This would be the PERFECT way to finally gain a bard focused around painting, colors & art; and will likely end up being the case.
This is also an opportunity to delve back into an elemental Sorcerer. I anticipate HEAVY multi-classing if this is the case...with Genie Warlocks, as well.
In keeping with the naming, this one just rolls off the tongue.
Quandrix - Wizard / Artificer / Warlock / Cleric
If they have such big brains; they might as well use them.
I suspect this college will be geared more towards the Artificers; as a means specifically towards perhaps rejuvenating the Archivist subclass in some way, shape, or form (the previous Archivist had a features that “overloaded” or overwhelmed targets with sheer information...this college has a similar feeling.
Manipulating reality, though, is still very much a Wizard thing, too.
Small chance it will be a new Warlock patron...a chaotic being from the outer planes...or even Mechanus himself.
I got my fingers crossed for a Luck Domain cleric, however; there’s established lore for them. Plenty of features...and probability fits rather well with it.
Name fits well. Quandrix..."quandary"? A problem to be solved...?
Silverquill- Cleric (!)
See, the Silverquill college already has existing subclasses to draw from (that pun was completely accidental; do NOT give me flak for it).
Scribe Wizards, Lore Bards, Eloquence Bards...we already are covered here.
Could be an interesting Cleric domain, though...an Art Domain!
I like the idea of a subclass for every house, but I'm not holding my breath lol. It would be nice to get something other than a bunch of wizard subclasses though. I second the revival of the archivist. It's still my favorite 5e psionic subclass.
Havent read them yet, but this is either going to be the coolest and most innovative thing or the stupidest thing and I am REALLY hoping its the former because thats so creative

Yeah, this is definitely different from what I would have expected. I would have thought that they'd do more Ravnica-style backgrounds to link together characters of the same College Houses, but I'm not opposed to this style of subclass-sharing. I'll have to read more about how this specifically works to give my full review in whatever thread there is/will be for reviewing this UA, but I'm currently hopeful of this being a cool and well-executed idea. (Although, I do want this kind of tactic to be used sparingly in the future.)

This could explain why they had gaps in other content as this is unprecedented
This is very unexpected and looks great. Wizards get a ton of stuff, but that is to be expected. I'm a bit worried for martials and half casters in this next book. Will they get nothing at all?

It's...possible, I suppose. I'd be surprised though, because Ranger and Monk don't exactly scream wizardy-woo to me.
Then again, I thought Tasha's Cauldron of Afterthoughts was going to be a Planescape book, so what do I know?
Ranger could be a Witherbloom tracker, or maybe an explorer subclass like Indiana Jones for Lorehold.

This is going to be really hard to playtest. There are so many combinations to check.
Also, considering that the book itself already has a release date, is some version of this going into the book regardless?
