Psionic Talent die -
At points throughout this set of rules the Psionic Talent Die employed by the three new Subclasses and One new Feat will shift up and down dependent on its use. We are not currently able to model the tracking of this dice. Where applicable a snippet has been added to show the base value of your Psionic Talent Dice.
Awake to the psionic power within, a Psi Knight is a fighter who augments their physical might with psi-infused weapon strikes, telekinetic lashes, and barriers of mental force. Many githyanki train to become such knights, as do some of the most disciplined high elves. In the world of Athas, renowned gladiators in the arenas of the Sorcerer-Kings are often Psi Knights, and in Eberron, the psionic kalashtar view membership in this knighthood as a special honor.
As a Psi Knight, you might have honed your psionic abilities through solo discipline, unlocked it under the tutelage of a master, or refined it at an academy dedicated to wielding the mind’s power as both weapon and shield.
Most assassins strike with physical weapons, and many burglars and spies use thieves’ tools to infiltrate secure locations, whereas a Soulknife strikes and infiltrates with the mind, cutting through barriers both physical and psychic. These rogues discover psionic power within themselves and channel it to do their roguish work. They find easy employment as members of thieves’ guilds, though they are often mistrusted by rogues who are leery of anyone using strange mind powers to conduct their business, and most governments would be happy to employ a Soulknife as a spy.
One day a light blazed forth within you—the illumination of psionic power. Your mind now simmers with this power, the full extent of which you won’t fully grasp for years to come. You can touch other minds with it and alter the world around you by using it to control the magical energy of the multiverse. Will this power shine from you as a hopeful beacon to others? Or will you be a source of terror to those who feel the stab of your mind and witness the strange manifestations of your might?
Note - Telekinetic, Telepathic and Wild Talent are all subdivided into feats corresponding to the chosen Attribute. Please select the feat relevant to the attribute you want such as Wild Talent (Dexterity) (UA)

one of my players was playing soulknife (archived) and wanted to swap to the new one but the option isnt appearing on their sheet. they can see the revived but not the soul knife. They do still have the psionics wizard option but that doesnt have a replacement so am not sure if that will have an effect. they are on the alpha sheet.

I'm having the same issue with psionic soul, on a character (in that I am not finding it listed to add to a character) . Not sure if I am using a different sheet than normal. Clockwork soul and aberrant soul (archived) are viewable.
I just checked it with a brand new character no archived content there, alpha sheet again and none of the new pieces are viewable so good news is it doesnt seem rn to be archieved content interacting wierdly with UA. May be not all acounts will see it yet or may be an alpha sheet thing?

Question on Psi Replenishment: if your Psionic Talent die is empty (because it got down to 1d4 and then rolled a 4), I assume PR still works to restore it to its starting size, right? IOW, you don't have to use PR before your PT die runs out, you can go from empty to full once per LR, right?
Read through the descriptions for UA Psionics, and I really like the direction they went with it here. Different enough mechanically to feel unique (really like psionic dice), but still fits well enough into the existing framework to not be broken or require massive adjustment to a campaign. Also like that the core psionicist is a subclass of sorceror - it fits with the theme in my opinon.
Is there some reason the Psi Knight's Psi Replenishment doesn't have a Long Rest check box for tracking?
Good catch - thank you! We've fixed that up now.
Please note that, due to caching, you may need to change the level of your character before this change shows up (you can increase the level by one then decrease it again back to where it was).
Is there a possibility to have the Psionic Souls Psionic Discovery option be supported more?
There doesn't appear to be an easy way to list which spell you select with that option. It would be great if you could see the available spells and select it.
I think this is a great change, I actually really like the wild talent feat too. Gives some skill versatility with some bonus damage to boot.

"Where words fail, swords prevail. Where blood is spilled, my cup is filled" -Cartaphilus
"I have found the answer to the meaning of life. You ask me what the answer is? You already know what the answer to life is. You fear it more than the strike of a viper, the ravages of disease, the ire of a lover. The answer is always death. But death is a gentle mistress with a sweet embrace, and you owe her a debt of restitution. Life is not a gift, it is a loan."
I also really liked the update. I was looking through the previous versions today and I realized how much of an improvement the revised versions are. I especially like the Soulknife just because of the cool flavor.

Just swapped my Soulknife over to the newest revision, and is there a reason that Psychic Blade is showing up as two different weapons - one for Strength, one for Dexterity; not the d6/d4 split, which is expected - instead of just as a Finesse weapon like before?
When they revised the class instead of being 2 finesse at a d6, it you use a two weapon attack it becomes short sword/dagger rather than short sword/short sword. It's not rolling of strength just changing the damage die for the second attack.

Not the problem. I know that it's a d6/d4 split, but it's literally showing up as four different attacks on my sheet: one for d6 using STR as an action, one for d6 using DEX as an action, one for d4 using STR as a bonus action, one for d4 using DEX as a bonus action. They're called Psychic Blade (Str), Psychic Blade (Dex), Psychic Blade - Offhand (Str), and Psychic Blade - Offhand (Dex).

But why was the wizard removed?
The game designers have concluded the playtest for that subclass.

Agreed! A dropdown with the filters for the schools of magic and your current available spell level would be cool

From my understanding and playing of it. Yes. You can use you PR to restart after you rolled a 4 on the d4.
When they revised the class instead of being 2 finesse at a d6, it you use a two weapon attack it becomes short sword/dagger rather than short sword/short sword. It's not rolling of strength just changing the damage die for the second attack.
