Much like how melee classes might hang up on a target for a double beat-down, parties with two spellcasters can often stack their spells in interesting ways to overcome threats & obstacles.
This works particularly well with concentration spells; since a single caster usually cannot concentrate on two spells simultaneously, having two spellcasters execute concentrations spells at the same time can be incredibly potent (and fun).
What are some amusing spell combinations you’ve seen two spellcasters coordinate with?
Example: the most unusual spell combination I’ve seen is when a Wizard cast “Silence”, and a Sorcerer cast “Fireball” within the same space; resulting in a devastating explosion that was completely quiet.
Not that amazing, but I was playing at level 1 today and we were combining Create Bonfire and Booming Blade to create a no-win situation for some goblins. Felt pretty savvy with our extremely limited resources.
