Hi all - wondering if anyone has seen a statement about the handling and timing of the unreleased artificer and subclasses for the 2024phb 5e edition? I'm interested in knowing whether we as DMs will be juggling 2014 rules and 2024 rules for 6 months? 12 months? 2 years?

No one can answer that until WotC announces the publication schedule after the Monster Manual, and no such announcement has been made. You may want to look at the timeline between the core and Xanathar's as a possible indicator. My guess is you'll see an adventure published in the spring/summer '25, and maybe something end of 2025, but honestly I think it's more likely to see an announcement in that window of an expansion sourcebook for 2026 using February through Dec '25 to get feedback on how the refreshed game is being "really played" and figure out what to playtest or introduce through some One D&D Unearthed Arcana process. In other words, keep your Xanathar's and Tasha's around.

I think they mentioned in a recent video there would be a section where they discuss handling subclasses not in the 2024 PHB. At this point it seems like only subclasses that came online at 1st or 2nd level would need to be addressed. Artificer, as a class, and 3rd level subclass starts shouldn’t need adjustment until rerelease in the new rules. So you can still play them alongside 2024 classes/subclasses
Edit: when that will be? Probably late 2025 or 2026+. I don’t see them rushing them out any faster than they came out after the 2014 books came out

We don't have a release schedule for anything past the core books as of yet. This is the most recent release schedule we have.
