I'm trying to make a subclass that gives a class a healing pool similar to a paladins lay on hands, in that it's equal to the characters class level times a certain amount. looking at the Limited Use modifier for the action, I'd only be able to make it based around a modifier. is there a work around?
You don’t have to make a whole class feature for each level. When you go into that original class feature you can go back and edit the action. As long as you have a “refresh” for the action you will then be able to add the limited actions. You will have to add a new limited action for each level though.

You have to enter each level individually.
