To add to this, I'm looking to use the same base character in multiple campaigns. I am DMing for 2 new groups and wanted to give them pregens. Is there a way to copy and paste characters between multiple games?
you can go into your characters and copy them from there, once that's done just assign the copies to a different campaign normally. You have to do it before the characters are assigned to a player though, after that they won't show up in your character screen only in the campaign

Is it possible to import a character into a campaign?
I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you wanting to:
-know how to invite a player/character into a campaign?
-know how to transfer the "ownership" of a character from one player to another?
-know how to import an existing character from some other character builder into DDB?
-do something else altogether?

Yes, if you follow the invite link into the campaign, it will ask to either select an existing character you have or make a new one.
