Is there a modifier that enables ritual casting on a class that doesn't normally get it?
For example, if I have a Sorcerer sub-class that grants identify then it will currently not display as a ritual spell on the character sheet, at least not if granting it is all that I do.
I've been through the modifier list (and sub-lists) a few times and am not seen anything that stands out as enabling ritual casting, so I'm guessing it may be an example of a modifier that doesn't exist at present. It also looks like the sub-class Spells section lacks the Ritual Cast Type option that Spells added to a feat can set, so this doesn't seem like an alternative either.
Just wanted to double check that I'm not missing something?

If you make a copy of the Ritual Caster feat, then manage the feat, it lets you add as many ritual spells as you wish. There aren't too many ritual spells that it takes that long to just add them all this way. I was able to add about 13 cleric ritual spells to my paladin (per the One D&D UA) in under a minute.
Good for? I hoped that thing could help but didn't so I wonder what it is to be used for...?
Adds the basic Ritual Caster feat, depending on where you're using the modifier.

It's probably worth pointing out that in the 2024 rules, the general rules for spellcasting were updated such that the ability to do ritual casting in general is no longer granted by a class feature; a spell with the ritual tag can be ritual-cast by anyone who has the spell prepared. This even includes things like a High Elf casting Detect Magic via a species feature.
So, adding the basic ritual casting capability to a subclass is redundant if the subclass is meant to be used with the 2024 rules.
True for 2024, but I was creating a 2014 ranger subclass and that one usually doesn't get ritual casting, and most annoying is, that I don't see the ritual tags on the spells as soon as I prepared them because of the missing ritual casting...
Anyway, as it is for my personal use only, I can live with it

I think it’s something hardcoded that we can’t access in the homebrewer.

Hope that helps! 😃
To be honest, ritual casting is just plain text, you can just write any feat that says they can ritually cast spells.

Sorry, you are correct. I should have said you need to use one of the derivatives, like https://www.dndbeyond.com/feats/ritual-caster-cleric or https://www.dndbeyond.com/feats/ritual-caster-wizard. They give you two spells (which you can homebrew out) but ability to add as many ritual spells as you want (from the given class, which could be your own). 😃
Silly question, if it is kinda impossible to get ritual casting "officially" into our homebrew subclasses, what does is the
modifyer type: Feat; modifyer subtype: Ritual Caster
