Hi homebrewers and D&D Beyond team!

I wanted to reach out here because I'm encountering a challenge using the Create Homebrew Race feature I haven't found a clear answer for.

What I'm attempting to do is add custom visual tables for my homebrew race to show possible options for racial trait choices. I've checked the forum before about copy/pasting the Dragonborn Breath weapon table but it isn't modifiable and has too many column/row cells for what I need to do. I also tried clicking around the text box tools in the Description box to no avail. Included at this Imgur Link is the visual comparison through screenshots of what I'm trying to replicate from the Dragonborn table (with 1 less column and fewer rows) across multiple additional variable choice Racial traits. https://imgur.com/a/p8PDY9i

I hope I can receive confirmation about whether this method is possible or not and if it's not possible guidance on how I might restructure my approach in presenting these options.

You don’t have to use the Dragonborn table, you can use any table you like. Find any table that has the right number of columns and then only highlight the number of rows you want before you copy/paste. Like you could use this table for example:

Aberrant Origins

Well, that is a possible solution. I was hoping for more direct customizability but that can work.

I'll go try that now, see how it fits, and let you know when I do so.

Will still hope there is a way to make custom tables in-editor somehow.

There is. You can click/tap the button that allows access to the raw html code and hand program your table. Looks like this:  </>  That would be the same button you would hit to access the code to edit a table too. Still trying your copy/paste proposed solution and seeing how that turns out on my homebrew race. I looked over your FAQ post and will visit it if I want to take a crack at making my own after I fill in all the details I'd want.

Here's a simple 4x3 table with the first row as a header. Paste this into the Source window and change the text to match what you want. The format is pretty simple to change number of columns or number of rows.

I believe you can get creative with COLSPAN and ROWSPAN attributes if you ever have cells that are going to be merged together. W3schools has a decent enough tutorial on tables.
