My skin is gonna fall off if I have to wait much longer for this show. I CANT WAIT
SAME
Agreed. But a less gruesome thing is going to happen instead - My aura of destruction will increase exponentially in size over time until it comes out.
My thoughts: What appears to be Sauron has a sword... Awesome! The dwarven outfits seem to be following the style established by the movies: Great! The elvish-looking breastplate and sword are very similar to Thranduil's in the Hobbit movie: He's my favourite elf (sorry Legolas) so AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also: What's with the Rohan-esque horse sword and scale mail guy? The forerunners of the Rohirrim didn't have much to do with horses until Eorl came along so.... ???
Do the Rohirrim have their origins in the Second Age or the Third Age?
Third. So there's no way they or Eorl could be in the show.
We do not actually know much about the forerunners of Rohan, particularly in the second age. We know northmen, like the people of Dale, moved south to Éothéod sometime in the third age and Eorl would eventually be born in Éothéod and create the Rohan everyone knows. We also know that the Northmen, Éothéod, and Rohan we’re all aligned with Gondor. Finally, we know Éothéod etymologically means “horse land”, so we can presume whatever northerners migrated south were already accomplished riders.
Given how little we know about these people in the second age, it very easily could be the case that the segment that would eventually sire Rohan were masters of horse even that far back in history.
True. My knowledge of the history of Men outside of Numenorians is not very good lol.
What do you think of the Third Age people known as the Black Numenoreans?
We don't get much about them so... Cool I guess?
Personally, I want to learn more about the Easterlings and the Haradrim. Other than their having long-time conflicts with Gondor, we have very little information about either group. We know from Unfinished Tales that King Khamûl of the Easterlings was given one of the Nine and was the second-in command of the Nazgûl (and eventual leader for the brief period of time between Pelennor and the fall of Sauron), but that is really about it. I would not be surprised if we see some more information about Khamûl and see a new Haradrim character who also is granted one of the Nine.
Plus, one of my favorite quotes in the novels is about the Haradrim:
It was Sam's first view of a battle of Men against Men, and he did not like it much. He was glad that he could not see the dead face. He wondered what the man's name was and where he came from; and if he was really evil of heart, or what lies or threats had led him on the long march from his home; and if he would rather have stayed there in peace.
So much of the Lord of the Rings is couched in terms of strict morality that Sam's moment of reflection stands out as one of the novel's most poignant moments.

I would love for them to show something about the Blue Wizards. Wouldn’t that be sweet? I also agree that some stuff about the Haradrim and Easterlibgs would be awesome

They’re the two Istari who are never mentioned in Tolkien’s work much. There’s the Brown (Radaghast), the Blue (there’s two, we don’t know what happened to them), the Grey (Gandalf), and the White (Saruman).

Could one of the Blue Wizards be a girl?
Probably not, since all the wizards are supposed to look like male humans.

Mostly same plots. Mine was too Lesta-based to continue, so I'm cutting it off.
