If Gandalf had started the quest of Mount Doom 10 years after the Hobbit with Bilbo instead of Frodo. Saruman hadn't gone evil (though he probably would have after hearing of this), Sauron was much less powerful, it would have been a lot easier. Thoughts?
Good one. They would probably go through the gap of Rohan. Aragorn would have become the chief of the north one year before. The Nazgul wouldn't know about the shire. If there had to be tension, maybe Saruman betrays the fellowship while there crossing.
I don’t think Bilbo could have made it to Mount Doom at all. Remember, in LotR Sauron’s eye was focused on other lands and wars (which is why Aragorn used the palantir, attacked the Black gate, etc). Not only that, but Mordor was nearly empty of Orcs by the time Frodo and Sam arrived, since most were off fighting. Even if he had the perseverance of Frodo, the knowledge of Gollum, and the heart of Sam, Bilbo wouldn’t have come close. The journey would have been easier, but once he reached Mordor, Bilbo would have been annihilated, and if by some miracle he reached Mount Doom, he couldn’t have got the Ring in the fire. (Unless Gollum happened to be there and intervened.)

I think at the time Gollum had just left the goblin caves to find the Ring, he was wandering around the wild. There's a chance they could have run into him. Also, I think Bilbo could have thrown the Ring if Gandalf was there. remember, he wasn't as corrupted by it, the reason Frodo fell so fast while it took Bilbo nearly half a century is because Sauron was calling the Ring, thus heightening its power. I think he could have managed it. Bilbo is also WAY stealthier and has a lot more perseverance then Frodo, not to mention he is more resourceful, quicker-thinking, more experienced, etc. He could have made it across Mordor. Especially as Sauron was still in spirit form, he didn't have the Eye up and running yet and he didn't have all his armies summoned yet, so Mordor was still pretty empty.
Hey guys, sry, May is a really busy month for me. It was my birthday and it was my brothers and my granparents visited and a lot of other stuff.
Don't worry, it's fine. Real life comes before this fun game of ours (and its cults) :) Also, Happy Birthday!
Thanks! Also, I have a hobbit/lotr question, in the hobbit, sting glows when it is near goblins, in lotr, the same is said but with orcs instead of goblins, how does that work? Are they just an alternate of eachother or does it just glow around such evil creatures? If so, why not around a balrog?

Goblins are just smaller orcs. They're all the same type. Orc is just Sindarin (or maybe Quenya, can't remember) for goblin.

Ah, I see. Also, does it seem to you like Glamdring and Orcrist do more than just glow? It never says it but they seem more powerful than a light up sword.

They seem like they deal radiant damage to me.
Yeah, didn't it say something about the blades stinging/burning the goblins when they hit them? I think they'd do a bit of radiant damage while glowing.

Maybe they do like an extra d4 radiant when glowing and and +3 against goblins.

I'd say +3 in general and an extra d4 or d6 of radiant while glowing, and we know it only glows near goblins.
Also what domains would each valar have? Mando's would be grave probably
I’d say neutral evil for Sauron. Mandos would be grave domain, Manwe would be life/war Tulkas would be war, Varda would be life, Aule would be knowledge (?), Orome would be war, and I don’t know what whotshisname sea guy would be. I’ve probably left a few Valar out, but this is just off the top of my head.

Add would add forge to Aule, so the Aratar (the big six) would come out to:
1. Manwë, Life, Peace?, Light?
2. Aulë, Forge, Knowledge
3. Oromë, Life, Nature
4. Mandos, Grave, Knowledge (prophecies)
5. Varda, Life, Light, Twilight
6. Yavanna, Nature, Order?
Melkor, Death, War

Whotshisname would be tempest. That's the closest thing to an ocean domain in 5e.

Definitely. I’m not the best with domains, since I rarely play clerics.
