The Silmith hobbles up to Soldaer's door, looking for components they could use in the transponder.
Soldaer glances over at him as he walks in, and Shade climbs to her feet, and walks out from the corner, growling slightly. "Can I help you with something?" Soldaer says from his bed.
*waffles, hello i am new here, but not too new, i just haven't actually roleplayed here yet. i don't know why i'm saying this, i guess i just didn't want the word waffles to be lonely*
Ursula, a halfling sized humanoid wearing a black cloak, white gloves, and a hood covering most of her face entered the tavern, looking around in interest.
*Hello again druid!*
*Reverse timewarp*
Before she walks into the tavern, she notices a massive dragon laying on the ground outside. It polished black scales with silver highlights along the spine, eyebrows, shoulders, and the edges of the "arms" that its wings are on. Instead of the usual forward-pointing horns most black dragons have, its horns point backwards, and are curled halfway along their length, doing a complete circle that leads to a slightly-upward pointing tip. His head is more akin to the shape of a Green or Topaz Dragon's, and a row of curved, almost needlelike spines, run from the top of his head to about a third of the way down its tail. On the end of its tail, where the tip should be, is instead a blade that seems to be made out of its own bone. its eyes are a deep green color, almost like a pine tree's needles when viewed at twilight. Even laying down, the dragon is nearly 20 feet tall and over 300 feet long.
Ursula stares at the dragon through the window for a minute before deciding to get a closer look. she opens the tavern's front door very slightly to make as little noise as possible and started sneaking over towards the dragon.
*so i don't have to say this later, Ursula is an arachne, (think spider centaur) and is a druid. also, hello again!*
The dragon rather quickly notices her approaching. (Passive 34, lol) It opens one of its eyes, which are about her size, and regards her curiously for a minute before climbing to its feet, standing at about 73 feet tall. It turns its head to face her then. Welcome. Can't say I've seen many Arachne before. The dragon chuckles, the sound shaking the windows of the tavern. I am Phantomizakell, a Phanton-Aura Greatwyrm from Hyperia. Welcome to Entropy and the Tavern at the End of the World. With that, and a sudden swirl of mist, Phantomizakell shifts into the form of a handsome young moon elf. "You can call me Phantom if that's easier to remember." He says with a laugh.
"oh- shapeshifting, how, pleasant." Ursula muttered in that voice where you try not to be rude but it just makes it sound even worse, as she took off her hood to reveal eight eyes and dark blue hair. *Ursula has had some unpleasant experiences with shapeshifters, also, SHOULDA used pass without trace*
Phantom chuckles again. "Yes, Shapeshifting. Kinda hard for me to fit inside the tavern if I don't do that." His eyes scan her, ready for any other surprises. "Don't worry though, I'm not gonna hurt you. I was just out here enjoying the sun." Phantom stretches a little. "The dragon is my true form, but many people find it intimidating, and, like I said already, I can't exactly fit inside most buildings."
*Even if she did you Pass Without Trace, she would've had to beat a 34 Passive Perception. And no worries about her history. Phantom has his own...feelings regarding some of the denizens of the Tavern, partly due in part to his past.*
Ursula makes a worried laugh sound mixed with a spider's hissing. "yeah, i can see how it would be pretty hard to fit inside the tavern. it must look like a children's toy from your point of view!" with that, Ursula scuttles back into the tavern, sat down, and ordered a drink. she started weaving a small scarf out of webs to pass the time.
*so, even though this character is a work in progress when it comes to stats, she has proficiency in stealth and a 19 in dexterity, so she still might beat the passive perception if i use pass without trace.*
*That's a possibility. I just know that it'll be very difficult, lol. Ursula will have an...interesting time when Yazrin returns from Avernus. He's a Drow, former noble of Twelfth house of Menzoberranzan, and HATES Lloth.*
Phantom reverts back to his Dragon form and takes off, flying out over the forest.

Soldaer sits up from his bed. "If you find someone with access to the spell Fabricate, they should be able to take copper coins and transform it into the wiring you need." He grabs a pouch from the table next to the bed, and tosses it to the Silmith. "Here. I don't need them." It's a pouch of about 250 copper pieces.
Soldaer is in his room, resting, with the door open.
*You should be scared... Mwehehehe.*
The Silmith hobbles up to Soldaer's door, looking for components they could use in the transponder.
Soldaer glances over at him as he walks in, and Shade climbs to her feet, and walks out from the corner, growling slightly. "Can I help you with something?" Soldaer says from his bed.
"Artgh snrilkth ksl- [beeeeep] Sorry. Translator was jammed. Do you have any wire. Copper wire is the best. Around 30 feet preferably. And any potatoes you may have."
"Don't have and copper wires, but I have some copper pieces. As for potatoes..." He thinks before pointing at a chest along one wall. "Check in there."
The Silmith walks over and opens it.
After a bit of searching, the Silmith finds about a half-dozen potatoes.
"Thank you. However, without wire this is meaningless; do you have any idea where to get wire."

"Hmm. If we were in the republic, I could do that easily; unfortunately your multiverse is not so malleable."

Soldaer shrugs. "There's got to be somewhere here who can cast the spell and get you the wire from those coins. Either way, they're yours." With that, Soldaer lays back down with a sigh.
