Gwen looks over, curious at what he is doing
Soldaer steps back and nods at what he's accomplished. He pulls out a seed, and plants it rather close to the tree. Quickly, another tree sprouts, and he starts saying phrases in elvish and something you can't understand. Both trees start twisting, and merging together, slowing forming a beautiful spiral staircase, one that is literally being grown out of the trees.
Gwen slowly walks over and touches a tree *detect magic* "Is this druid magic?"
*Great...now I need to figure out what school this would be, lol...not a spell per se, but something Twilight Elves, especially druids are taught to do.*
Soldaer seems to jump a little. He was obviously concentrating quite a bit. He takes a deep breath. "Yes, it is, of a sort. All of my people have some level of connection with our forest home. Druids are taught how to shape homes and structures out of the trees, which is exactly what I am trying to do here."
*probably would be Transmutation like plant growth spell*
"Oh, I'm sorry if I interrupted something..." Gwen says, embarrassed. "But... um... its interesting to see that you can change nature so easily... so um..."
*Yeah...same conclusion I came to...just a higher tier of it, basically.*
*Also, this is within the safety field, a little closer to the lake, but still well within walking distance of the tavern.*
Soldaer leans against the tree-structure, obviously a little tired. He chuckles slightly. "It's fine, Gwen. Doing this sort of thing takes a lot of concentration, and a surprising amount of energy. I'm not sure how much more I should try to do today before going and resting." He smiles and chuckles again. "But when it's finished, it will be amazing."
"Anyway I can help?" The child asks, with a spark of wonder in their eyes

It is said death with the tongue is useful, but I find words too soft an instrument to smash a man’s skull.

The turtle looks up. It has a pierced ear with a mithral earing. "You don't need to bother with all that. I can talk." Its voice is ancient sounding and conjures up images of long gone landscapes.
