Thirteen is reviewing a section in his journal on nightwalkers and the dilemma they present. He’s also wondering why ‘dilemma’ is spelled that way.

Mauric calls to them. “Hey Efflore!”

Solanar glances at the journal as he passes. “Did you know about how they can create Bodaks when they’re in the Shadowfell?”

“Yes. I know quite a lot about the Shadowfell.”

Solanar nods. “May I enquire as to how? Stories always intrigue me.”

“Well it’s pretty much the same as the normal ritual. When a body is instantly suffused with necrotic energy and its soul is destroyed or banished, it becomes a bodak, a mindless creature of pure death.”

Solanar laughs, which turns into a cough. “Sorry. I meant, how do you know so much about the Shadowfell? I’m fairly familiar with it.”

“I‘ve spent about sixty cumulative years there.”

“Interesting.” Solanar sits down. “It’s been a while since I came here. Tell me, did you meet any of the Dark Powers while you were there?”

“Plenty of them. They were only a bit intimidating.”

"They've been a bit restless over the last few years, I've noticed. Which ones were the nicest?"

“I don’t know. I never really take stock of who is kindest to me.”
