There are so many places I would like to go! However, the first one on my list is Denmark, and you bet I’ll be staying there until I’ve learned Danish. Travel is a big thing for me, and while work and school has always kept me in the country, I love exploring what the US has to offer! Of course, I want to travel around the world, and I probably will get the chance to in the coming years, since I plan to start doing international fencing tournaments. That, of course, is dependent on my financial situation… Travel is a wonderful thing, and my writing is deeply influenced by the beauty and hideousness that I have seen around the US, and traveling the world will only give me a greater perspective ! To everyone who hasn’t yet had the chance to travel, even to exciting places in your own country, do it. Traveling, along with good friends and a job you love, is one of the best things you can do for yourself
Cotfb is still going strong, though I haven't posted for it in a while. And I'm a bit less active now, but I'm still here and having fun and awesome to see that you're back again. I missed you bro.
Yeah, I missed you guys too. I’d like to participate in CotFB again, but my homebrew skills have eroded a lot in the last year. I’m glad you’re still around, though :)
Ehhh... My homebrew skills have eroded too and I still wanna do it and set up a DMs Guild account. And while the competition is still doing well, we now have an even longer time to work on submissions and the amount of competitors isn't what it was at CotFB's peak. Obviously, don't submit if you don't wanna, though. I may or may not have procrastinated for 90% of the time frame after I decided I wanted to return to competing in it. ;)
Codexalia is 90% finished, and on schedule, no less, lol. I am converting the word doc to a PDF right now.
There's still a bunch to do (equipment tables, mostly), but the setting and "DM Side" rules are finished. Next up is Incarnalia, which is the character creation book, and I have 20 days to finish it. Then I do the Occultaria, which is the magic and psionics stuff, also 20 days.
Holy guacamole. I have zero idea how you don't procrastinate to the extreme, are able to set such ridiculous goals for yourself and get them done, and don't you have multiple jobs that you do lol?

Kyoto Japan. My second choice would be a secluded little island off the east coast of Florida. It would really depend on my mood which one I picked.
I lived in Japan for 5 years (father was military and I was but a young pup back then) - had all the coolest toys - and hate the world that I no longer have them as a grown adult. lol
And after 5.5 years in Japan - all I remember in Japanese is how to say "Cat" - which is weird because we had a dog (German Sheppard the entire 5.5'ish years we were there).

oh, I do procrastinate, lol.
Example: I did a four hour panel at a convention earlier this week. I only reviewed the notes for it that morning.
I have the worst case of "last minute -itis" of all the people I know, lol. The catch is that I've had it for 50 years, so I am *very* good at it right now. It is part of why I like all the side contracts -- the recent UN one included time on some of the super comps, and that's gold -- I hoard it, then trade it for favors and more coin, lol. super computer time is an entire black market. But I can bid four weeks or six weeks, and then do what really comes down to four days of six hours of work for me. I have four side jobs in addition to my main right now. And I am still adjusting to my main job.
Also, I have bad insomnia. Like really bad. "brain no off" unless I am either completely fried or I take a sleeping pill, and I have to stop the pills every other month or start popping them like skittles.
I don't think five years is a ridiculous goal, lol. But I can only do the two remaining books in 20 days each because I have spent so much time on them already -- Both are really about 80% done right now, although they might be in a dozen different pieces that I need to collate and then scan for inconsistencies. Like, each class is a separate document right now, mostly just notes and dry mechanics, and I have to finish those writes ups for color.
In both cases, the hardest part is finishing going through the c/p stuff. I mentioned before how I took all the feats and features and yanked them into a single list -- I have to go through that and tweak it and make sure that all of them work and consult notes. Stuff like change the Battlemaster superiority dice things to work as stand alone feats. That will take the biggest part of time.
The big one that is a problem for me is spells -- I have to clean them up, and whenever I work on spells I just start adding more and more of them. But that's also why I saved Magic for last -- the deadline will act as a barrier for me.
Three books combined, when all done, should be 1350 to 1450 final pages total, the Magic one being the smallest of them. So only about 400 pages or so in limbo right now -- some of that is formatting, some of that is trimming, that kind of thing.
The worst part is that there is a desire to "unify" our collective in-house systems for player compatibility -- so lots of back and forth among us DMs as we debate on what system and how to use and most of my stuff is currently the baseline -- but a lot of it is like 8 years old, and needs to be adapted to the new goal of greater conformity to 5e style stuff. That slowed stuff down a lot (and, technically, still is, but meh).
But I got the pdf of the Setting done as it will get until end of next month, and it is linky in siggy, lol.

I once got something like 90% a week's worth of assignments done in half an hour, simply because I completely forgot they existed until 11:30 the day before they were due. The panic unlocked some hidden part of my brain and unleashed my ultimate flow state. I've never been able to replicate it.

Where do you go?
I've lived in Texas, Washington (state), Virginia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, at different points of my life. I would love to visit all those places again, especially Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan because I was just a young'in then. I also know I have Scottish blood in me and that my ancestors left a castle to come to the U.S.A. so it would be fun to hunt that place down again. I also have a lot of German blood so that place would be cool to see.
Ireland seems to be very popular and I've always wanted to go up there. However, I've been researching a lot of Welsh folklore and I think it would be really cool to go there and visit the areas I've been reading about. Welsh lore is very rich and yet relatively unknown. Anywhere I'd go I'd make it a point to visit places with particularly interesting legends or folklore. I'm also an outdoors person so I'd prefer small towns over big cities.
Somewhere in the Middle East or Central Asia would be awesome because I am thinking about living there.
I have an Uncle who owns an olive orchard and vacation home in Sicily and it would be awesome to go there and see all those places. Plus Mediterranean culture and cuisine is excellent.
I’m working on a new character that has a stutter, but I don’t know how rp with one that well. Currently I just pepper whatever they say with stuff like “T-This” but I don’t know if that is the best way to do it. I’m only comfortable doing rp over text as well.

If it's only through text - that makes it much easier. Just describe the stutter also.
So you might write:
Darius looked just over the hill and saw the large hobgoblin camp that Torin had mentioned. "Th-th-that's a lot of hob-ob-ob-lins," Darius stuttered, not out of fear, but because he had always struggled with his stuttering. "We sh-sh-should be very careful," the words continued to stammer out of Darius' mouth, like a crowd of people trying to shove their way through a narrow doorway.

As someone who used to (and officially still does) stutter from time to time, I just want to point out that it isn’t a “letter” that gets stammered, it’s a sound. So it might be “t-t-time,” but it would be “th-th-this,” not “t-t-this.”
