As in Racaraide? It is an old forgotten word for an honored bard whose verses either uplift with praise those that they deem worthy or tear down the reputation of those who aren't. I chose it because it is really old and almost forgotten and I don't see many other users with it here.
I chose skald as I'm a musician, and skald is a nordic term for one who plays music or tells stories and poetry, and I see music as a form of poetry, it's basically just the closest they had to bard. It was formerly (Perfect) but I prefer skald

With the number of posts I have under my belt it’s no question whether or not I got them all, so I didn’t feel the need to advertise it. Besides, “perfect” sounded to stuck up. I couldn’t go without a title, the system wouldn’t let me. So I picked the most basic title that was available. And besides, aren’t we all “adventurers” in our own way through this epic journey we call “life?”

But we all have our crosses to bear, do we not?

Yeah, it's not even in the dictionary I think, it's a subclass in AD&D I'm pretty syre though, that's all I could find until I scrolled way down and found that it's sort of a synonym for rhapsodist.

Back in AD&D each level had an associated title. Racaraide And Skald were titles attached to various levels of the Bard (which was a subclass of Rogues back then).

I went with perfect, because I love the irony that “perfect” is a typo.
For those of you not as old as the hills, the titles are from 1e when every class had titles associated with their level. It was meant to be a way to introduce yourself in game, like I’m Bob the priest meant you were a level 3 cleric. Level 5 cleric was supposed to be prefect, but the typo went through instead. I’m pretty sure that’s why it’s in parentheses here. To show they are accurately quoting what they know is a mistake.

There is amongst the Irish, a certain kind of people called Bardes, which are to them instead of Poets, whose profession is to set forth the praises or dispraises of men in their poems or rithmes; the which are had in so high regard and estimation amongst them, that none dare displease them, for fear to run into reproach through their offence, and to be made infamous in the mouths of all men. For their verses are taken up with a general applause, and usually sung at all feasts and meetings by certain persons [Author's note: Called Racaraide. OCONOR'S Diss. on Hist. of Irel. p. 74], whose proper function that is, who also receive for the same, great rewards and reputation amongst them.
