QotD: What other websites do you use for D&D besides this one?
Well, there are a bunch of websites I use to research folklore and mythology which I then use in my D&D games, but I doubt that's what you meant. I don't think I constantly use any other ones.
QotD: What other websites do you use for D&D besides this one?
I've used the homebrewery once or twice a while ago for the Competition of the Finest Brews. Other than that though, I don't really use many D&D websites outside of D&DB. I'll probably get the 2024 core rulebooks soon and start a DMs Guild account someday. Honestly though, I've been wanting to publish homebrew on DMs Guild for ages but I've never gotten around to it.
I have something good that WoTC have done lately, FIXED NOTIFICATIONS :D

I think it's time I admitted something to the world: I don't like that the warlock is a core class. I like it mechanically, but it doesn't really have a niche thematically. It's not heroic to have a character grow stronger solely due to the influence of a patron, and the game leaves fuzzy what happens when there is conflict between warlock and patron. Also, the base warlock has some edgy abilities that don't really mesh well with some of the subclasses (looking at celestial and genie). And finally, wtf is a hexblade patron, and why isn't that covered by the blade pact? /rant
I completely and totally disagree. I love warlocks. No thematic niche? Witch pacts and deals with the devil are extremely common in stories. Is it heroic to be born with all your powers as a sorcerer? Is it heroic to be a killer powered by their anger issues, like the barbarian? Heroism is added to the character by the player. I’m glad that the game is especially vague on the warlock and that’s why it is one of my favorite classes. It gives me more freedom in creating a character. I don’t want the authors to clearly define every single possible intricacy that could rise from my warlock’s relationship with their patron. That should be something that my DM and I work together on to create an original story each time. Any edgy abilities can be reskinned to fit your characters style. Hexblades aren’t explained well, but I like that because it opens up more possibilities for what they could be.
I occasionally visit the ENWorld forums, but otherwise I don't do much web activity for D&D.
I love reading through ENWorld posts and arguments. People on that site tend to be much more reasonable and coherent than those around here, this thread excepted.
A group of renegade angels and devils banded together to help each other resist their former lords. They aren't fully good or evil. They act independently, but occasionally participate in the blood war. The flavor I'm going for is a group of supernal gunslinging wild-west outlaws. I don't know what the group would be called, but I'm thinking of some stats for rank-and-file members and their leaders. I like the idea of something like a chain devil with an infernal six-shooter riding some sort of hellbeast or a demon grinder and a celestial archon with a cowboy hat riding a scarred ki-rin or unicorn and slinging the angelic equivalent of a sawed-off shotgun.
Does this evoke any ideas in you folks?
Yes! I love it. Imma add something like that to my campaign world right now.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft and Forgotten Realms. My pronouns are she/they.

I ain't a fan of devil angel team ups but we don't have to get into that. I do love the idea of supernatural gunslingers. You might want to take a look at the Gunslinger Spawn comics.

Love this! While there is an argument it doesn’t work for lore reasons, lore can be changed easily and if you don’t like it then who cares. Make your lore whatever you want
But This is a kickass idea and I would love to see this in a game! Recently read very good book about a Wild West setting where people are blessed by Christianity style saints with magic powers and it was very good. Wild West stuff is great!!

Hey, It's me, RaccoonMaster! I'm back! I disappeared for a while there, but now everything's good and I'm trying to get into more games!
I'm an actor, writer, singer (opera, musical theatre, and rock are my preferred genres), backpacker, and tall person (6'5 and counting). Pronouns are whatever, I mostly use They/Them though.
My Characters: Elsenia Selevarum:The Popular Paladin, Aasimar Noble, Level 5 Paladin of Redemption;
I've had a few more thoughts on the idea. I'm working with the title "The Hollow Legion" as an homage to the Lord of the Hollows from Darksiders 3. In the game, that entity makes deals with angels and demons sick of fighting, and annihilates them so that they are freed from the cycle of rebirth and servitude. I've also decided that they are led by a former archdevil who is an advanced chain devil that uses an infernal chain-driven gatling gun and a former archon who uses a big ol' holy revolver. Haven't worked out their names. I'm also tinkering with some infernal machines crossed with angel tech.

Yeah, I believe we've litigated this in the past. It's not your cup o' tea. Sorry. But I'll look up Gunslinger Spawn. I'm also thinking of Roland Deschain.
If you need symbolism/design ideas for cowboy and desert angels and devils, here are some ideas. The angels could have buzzard wings and maybe the sherif star they wear could be an actual star veiled as a badge. Barbed wire is a huge thing in the west. Maybe the devils have barbed wire lassoes. I think a devil that looks a little like a Texas horned lizard would be sick. Maybe you could take a page out of Something is Killing the Children and give them a bandanna mask that opens up into a toothy maw.
I don't know if any of this is what you're going for, but I thought I'd throw out some ideas. I love Westerns and deserts in stories.
Just got back from an awesome night of salsa dancing.
Question of the Day: Do you dance? What sort of dancing do you do? Do you ever use dancing in your DnD game?
To answer my own question, the biggest city in my world is known for its swing and jazz halls. It’s based on New Orleans. The swing hall is where you go there to get information and socialize rather than a tavern.
QotD: What other websites do you use for D&D besides this one?
For my Dragonlance game I run (not the D&D Dragonlance game - one of my own making) - I use the Dragonlance Nexus a lot. It's got a lot of useful information.
Gyeongseong Creature

Fun fact. Starting September 29th, the Earth will likely have a second moon for 2 months.
